I went here for the first time the other day because I needed something for lunch. I’m from Buffalo so I was excited to get lunch at a real NYC bagel shop. However the man behind the counter was extremely rude! I said I’d like to order a turkey bagel and he didn’t face me when taking my order and was just overall very poor with customer service. Like I was putting him out by being there! I actually had to explain I’ve never been here before so I don’t know what your standards are with specials. The bagels behind the counter weren’t labeled as to what they were so I felt embarrassed by asking what they were. You guys should at least put labels on them. The food I got was very good but the customer service absolutely sucked. You guys need to work on this. Very unhappy and I will not be returning.

Our usual weekend breakfast place. Bagels are good, they put on lots of cream cheese which makes them a winner in my book. Lots of variety in terms of sandwiches and side salads. There is usually a line but they are pretty fast and always have many people on staff.

Worst customer service I’ve ever encountered by far. Food is a hit or miss being that sometimes they get the order right and sometimes they do whatever they want with your order. It’s a shame because this is a less than a minute walk from my office but I will rather drive elsewhere than place an order at this establishment. I would give 0 stars if that was possible but the one star I will give them(aside from being required by Unilocal) is for neatness. Every time I’ve been to this bagel shop it’s been clean so that’s a big plus. Overall, it’s a big no for me.

«You want a platter with that?» I didn’t quite follow. The man behind the counter raised an eyebrow and clarified, «How are you going to eat that?» See, when you order eggs over easy with whole wheat toast there are rules. But it was early and I had not yet inhaled the delicious fresh coffee offered here. I chuckled at the wise cracking gent behind the counter. I indeed wished to stay. The booths looked comfortable and I had time to kill. Quicker than light my eggs were delivered on foam plate(ah ha). Butter had been spread as ordered(He asked if I wanted butter, smart man). I scooped up some plastic utensils and inhaled my spread. For a tiny bit under three dollars I enjoyed a delightful breakfast + coffee. Patrons are reminded to not linger longer than 30 minutes. I can’t imagine being asked to leave. However, they are quite forward here :) This bagel café is on 347, next door to the McDonald’s, and has a respectable amount of parking. Be sure to wait for Wacky Wednesday. There are killer deals with bagels — order 12, get 6 free(!). Order 6, get 3 free. Brightly lit, clean with ample seating, this is a winner for me.

This is my 5th time coming to LIBC since my initial review. I’m happy to say that it remains ranked at 4 stars for me. Most recently, A colleague and I ordered the gatsby(on an everything bagel for my colleague and poppy bagel for myself). Both of us were very appreciative of the flavor and composition of the gatsby — which includes eggplant, sundried tomatoes, mozzarella, pesto and turkey slices on a bagel or hero. The composition of flavors was fantastic, as was my three bean side salad. I was mostly satisfied with my meal, however the turkey was quite salty to my taste. Being a cracked pepper turkey fan I will make sure to swap next time! My colleague and I joked that this is the«healthiest» option from the sandwiches. If you want to feel better about being naughty. — We ordered the Big Bird(#2 on the menu) on everything egg bagel and turkey rueben(hot off the grill) on rye toast. The big bird was delicious with its combo of chicken cutlet, Russian dressing, lettuce and tomato. The reuben was good, however the sauerkraut is a bit too aggressive for the turkey. The only negative of this experience was the wait, which was about 15 minutes after ordering and very frustrating as we could have gone through the line three times despite the long line. If you plan on ordering something more complicated than cream cheese on a bagel, you should order a coffee ahead of time and sip on it while sitting in the dining area.

Staff is extremely friendly but you can tell that it is not appreciated by management. They rarely get a break after working an 8 – 10 hour day. Just sad to see good service go unnoticed!

It’s a very busy bagel place so I expected much better food. Got an everything bagel(was basically a plain bagel with a sprinkle of sesame seeds) tuna(was pretty good) and a slice of tomato(which was .60 cents). My friend got a garlic bagel with lox cream cheese. The cream cheese was good. My main complaint is how Not fresh the bagels were. They were so hard and dry. My teeth were even hurting after a few bites Overall not worth it at all and I wouldn’t recommend. Much better bagel places in the area

After long day at the wineries, my wife, friends and I decided to stop at long island bagel Café for a quick bite to eat. It was my first time there and my first impression was a lasting one. The assortment of salads and sandwiches was so refreshing. I was used to a few of the same old things and basic choices. Not here! So many things to choose from and an awesome salad bar. I had a chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers and balsamic on a bagel(needed something to soak up the wine) and it was really really good! They must have just fried the cutlets or something! My wife had a chopped salad and she said it was really fresh. The counter guys were really nice and helped my indecisive friends make some awesome sandwich choices! All in all, it was a great decision to stop here and it really hit the spot. I will definitely go back!

Couldn’t tell you how the food is here because when I called up I place an order they told me «we are too way busy to take phone orders today» and hung up. Good luck with your business.

Staff is extremely slow, rude and they are experts in ignoring people. They prepare your food with the same gloves they count the money with and I got sick the last time I ate there. They are not nice people unless you are an attractive woman, then they will treat you«like a rock star».

Lifesaver in the aftermath of a storm. With no power, we picked up a pannini, a roast beef sandwich, coffee, and some bagels with scallion cream cheese. They also had regular lemonade, which seems to be contraband these days, so that was a nice surprise. So was the pasta salad, with not just your typical elbows, but shells and noodles in the mix. Clean, friendly place. Only quibble is, the bagels are a bit sweet for my taste, but at least they’re huge.

This place is always popping but these bagels are so worth it! Even when I’m running late I’ll hang on the line to get my wrap here instead of elsewhere. Plus they have some dank ass coffee options.

My favorite lunch spot in the area… with a great breakfast menu also!!! Super friendly staff, very clean establishment. If you can’t find something from their menu you don’t like, then you might need to question what you know about food. Everything is super fresh and delicious.

The bagels are always fresh and the staff works extra hard to get the order right. So far I’ve been lucky, I always seem to get in just before the crowd. When this place gets busy, boy are they busy! Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the mood for good food and a fresh bagel

Typical Long Island bagel store: good bagels, good coffee, nice set up, efficient service, ample seating. What more could you really ask for? They have a lot to choose from for breakfast and lunch as well as deli-type options like sandwiches and wraps but I’m not a huge fan. Nothing to rant and rave about(I’ve had better bagels — pretty sure it’s impossible to get a bad bagel on Long Island) but if you’re looking for a quick, decent breakfast, this is a good choice. I stop in here every now and again and I’ve never had any complaints.

Overall it’s an ok place to start your day but there are some problems here. First and foremost, why is the veggie cream cheese pink? Is this strawberry cream cheese? Doesn’t taste like it. Even more troubling, why don’t the Everythings have salt? That’s why it’s called everything. They clearly know people want it, by the mostly empty bin of everything’s with salt. Would it be so hard to maybe reverse that and make a handful of everything’s without salt? For the three people who want it that weird and terrible way? Why should we all suffer? I wanted to like this place, and the seating is a good addition. But can’t go higher on the stars until the cream cheese becomes a normal color and the everything mix sorts itself out.

I ordered an egg everything bagel toasted with vegetable cream cheese. The bagel had NO salt and my cream cheese was pink with chunks of red, yellow and green pepper. I didn’t notice it until I was on the LIE so sadly I couldn’t do anything about it.

Not a terrible bagel store but definitely not near the top of my list. I would only go there in a pinch. I don’t believe the counter staff are the most hygienic. The bagels are just average tasting. Coffee is meh. I really wanted to like this place, we could use another good bagel store in the area, but this one misses the mark.

Bagel places should be bustling, moving, a flurry of «Next!» Not here. This place is not worth the salt missing from their Everything bagels.

They now take debit cards! Yay! My favorite bagel store, Bagels and A Hole lot more was replaced with Long Island Bagel Café. The new layout is more customer friendly, the cream cheeses are amazing and the bagels! Cooked perfectly with a nice chewy outside. I had bagels from other Long Island stores that are all doughy. Long Island Bagel Café makes a damn good NY bagel. We bought a few bagels today along with some flavored cream cheese. This is a nice place to have an egg sandwich and to see your neighbors over the weekend. Its a nice friendly breakfast spot.
