I have to say I love the fudge and candy at this shop but the people they have working there are less than helpful or friendly. I went at Christmastime and yes they were busy but I asked the woman behind the counter about a certain type of candy and she gave me a very snotty response, makes me not want to make the hour drive to get there.

After being closed for a week, I was excitedly awaiting the new and improved look of Winfreys and, I must say, they should have left it the way it was! WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! It looks as if they SCRIMPED on EVERYTHING! The same old ugly chandeliers are there along with the pink walls and stenciled flower design that has been there FOREVER! Oh, did I forget to mention the«TACKY» Plastic Flowers strung along the walls and those Drapes that have been there since the store opened !!! Come on Winfrey’s, get out of the 20th century(that’s being kind!). If you wanted to attract a new, younger crowd to even walk through your door to sample your DELICIOUSCHOCOLATES, you FAILED big time! I’m a long time customer who appreciates your candy, but what does cheapening out on your floor space say? It tells me that you don’t care about your customers OR growing your business… too bad, it’s obvious that NOONE knew what they were doing in the Stoneham store design, and you have such LOVELY people working there. Now they & the customers just have to figure out where you moved everything! When you put time & money in something, it always shows and when you don’t…well, take another look at your Stoneham store

Although I haven’t actually been to this location, I had their chocolates since they were being sold at a place in Boston called Lulu’s. I am such a chocolate snob that I will *smack* you if you give me some kind of of processed Hershey’s crap. This is by far one of the best places around. They may not be cheap but the quality is superior to most so just make your taste buds happy.

If your looking to fill yours or someone else‘s taste for that awesome quality chocolate than Winfrey‘s is the right place. They have a wide variety of chocolate‘s and fudge that will fill your need. If its for a gift they will wrap it for you as well. They are very pleasant and helpful in all your chocolate needs.

Best chocolates in the area. Great selection and always have nice displays. Have never had a bad experience with service even on busy days around the holidays. Parking is sometimes tough on those busy days. Can get a bit crowded due to the size of the location. Overall worth the crowd and parking issues.

Very cute when you walk in and the associate working there was very nice. The display of chocolates is absolutely lovely and they look like they have some really inventive types of chocolates. So I bought some fudge because, why not? It’s a great anytime pick-me-up. For fudge, Winfrey’s have the usual flavors and then a few unusual ones — I got a piece of Chocolate so I could have something tried and true and a piece of something Cheesecake which had Bailey’s and Kahlua flavors in it so I could try something a big more exotic. Well, they both were pretty awful. First of all, they both tasted like, well, sugar. If you gave me a blind taste test, I would not have known which was chocolate and which was the cheesecake something or other. Not because they tasted the same but because neither tasted like what they were suppose to — they both tasted like flavored soft blocks of sugars(albeit different blocks!). I haven’t tried the chocolates but with this fudge experience, I am going to have to skip it. Well, at least they don’t try to pass it off as homemade. The associate behind the counter told me it was all made in a big place in NC and shipped to them. So don’t even know how fresh it is… I think the fudge only deserves one star but I will give it another star for the store set-up and display.

Penuchi Fudge is so good and will be most missed when I move. I like how during the Holidays they have the fudge in different shapes. I really can’t find a better place to get penuchi fudge!

Winfrey’s is a cute little chocolate, candy and fudge shop right on Rte. 28 in Stoneham. They have a great selection of fancy chocolates, which you can buy pre-packaged or select your own. They also have all sort of unique candy including giant peanut butter cups, chocolate covered potato chips and chocolate covered twinkies. Their fudge comes in unique flavors as well. One of my favorites is the cranberry walnut. They even had a candy cane fudge over the holidays which was delicious as well. They are rather pricey so I only allow myself to go there on special occasions or when I need a really nice gift. But they’re always friendly and efficient so they get a thumbs up from me!
