Always loved Royal RB… I would always stop in when I was a teenager on Friday and Saturday Nights! Food was always just how I ordered it! Hot and Fresh! Highly recommend giving Royal RB a try!

I’m sitting in food heaven! The roast beef was delicious! I added onion rings to share, and they’re the sweet, thin, light, crispy kind! My favorite!

I grew up in Revere Massachusetts ever since I moved to California 28 years ago I have been craving a royal roast beef sandwich. I used to go back to visit family and straight from the airport go straight to Royals have two roast beef sandwiches and every day during my visit I would go back and get two more this place is phenomenal and the roast beef is the best in the world. At times I am tempted just to get on a plane and fly back to Boston just to have some roast beef sandwiches and then bring them back with me. This is how good they are. You will never ever be disappointed with a Royals roast beef sandwich.

It was my first time going the other day. I went in with my family and we are a very food loving family. We absolutely loved the food. I had the seafood platter which was absolutely delicious, my parents went with salads and got honey bbq steak tip and chicken kabob they were honestly one of the best salads I’ve ever had, their house dressing is also amazing! My brother got a pizza and it was delicious as well. We were very impressed with everything we had. We would definitely come here again and again!

I ordered a broiled haddock plate with rice, and salad. I assumed that baked/broiled would have been baked in buttery ritz crackers or bread crumbs. It was not. It was cooked with a sprinkling of a green herb over the top, and it was sitting in a liquid, which I could not tell what it was. It was unappetizing looking and was very bland testing as well. I had a little, because I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. The rice was so so with really no flavor either, but I pushed on hoping I would find some salvation. I then opted to put my salad and dressing in the wrap that came with it, but the wrap was hard and somewhat stale; not the fresh wraps or pitas that usually accompany such fare. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed, since the price of the entrée was not on the inexpensive side at all. I am not one to usually write a bad review, but I think the business owners would want to know about this, and enhance a dish like this in the future the way it is supposed to be served. I am sorry, but it was a big disappointment when I was looking forward to it so much. It tasted as if it was poached, not broiled or even baked.

I work in stoneham and on Fridays our offices orders lunch. Lately this is our go to eatery. I get the BBQ steak tips with their house dressing. Good amount of tips. Salad is iceberg lettuce, fresh cut tomatoes and cucumbers shredded carrots. The tips make the salad. A few others at my office have gotten scallops there which they raved about. Also the roast beef sandwich was good as well.

Besides the price being a little bit high for my liking, their roast beef three ways are out of this world! They are so good and they always very quick! It usually takes no longer than 5 to 10 minutes from the time I place my order until the time it is ready. And the other plus is that it is five minutes from my work! Highly recommend this place for their roast beef sandwiches!

Love Royals! The mozzarella sticks and fries here are really yummy. The menu is really big too. Very friendly staff as well.

For starters, a junior beef with lettuce tomato cheese was almost $ 8. Eight dollars! Are you kidding me? I get home open the sandwich to see well done dry roast beef, about a whole 3 ounces of it. New owners obviously weren’t trained from the old owners, like I thought. I worked at this place for years back in early 2000s and let me tell you it has seriously changed. You want a roast beef head over to Billy’s in Wakefield. Sorry but I won’t be returning to Royals!!!

Wow, compassion for humanity at a small business like this is impressive. I’ve always enjoyed the food here, the roast beef is what I remember the old(original) Liberty Bell being like. The real point of this is that I came in tonight and I saw a homeless man, clearly very down on his luck, waiting. I thought maybe he was staying warm or killing time. Then out came the owner/manger with a complete meal for him. On the house. A warm meal, drink, etc. I was with my daughter and she got to see that some people still care about others. Nice job Royal!!!

royal roast beef is your typical north shore place. Great food, great service. When you get the roast beef sandwich, lot of sauce. I say one of the best place to get to go.

Two stars. Cause the food is decent. Service on the other hand can be terrible if you show up anywhere near noon. Numerous times I have sat and waited for a roast beef sandwich for over 20 minutes. Totally unacceptable. The owner is a nice guy but has a severe lack of qualified help that can’t handle busy spurts like lunchtime. Not sure if the help even understands English ! There is one guy that wears huge Gages in his ears… creeps me the hell out whenever I see him touch food. You would think the owner would never have hired a freak show in such a high profile job dealing with the public. If your in a hurry don’t bother going here.

This is a hard review, because I thought this was an offshoot of the Royals in East Boston, but even if it is, the food is not as good. The haddock tasted good, but stank up my car to high Heaven for days after only being in there for ten minutes. The chicken fingers are those thin, lightly breaded frozen ones that are nowhere near the East Boston Royals(again, maybe not the same place, but either way not worth $ 10 for a small!). The fries are average, and the breading doesn’t stay on the onion rings. Overall ok, staff was friendly, but not something we’d go back to.

Visiting from the Midwest, I was looking for a local joint and this lace had great Unilocal reviews. I found it worthy. I had a lobster roll and a King Beef. The lobster roll was pricey at $ 16.99 for a sandwich but what the heck. It was loaded with lobster claw meat with a light mayo based sauce I believe. Decadent and delicious! I got the beef with cheddar cheese sauce and BBQ. It was a mound of meat and well worth the price. I may go back but I’m only here a couple days and want to try some other places.

Under new management. Terrible. Different food. Different employees. Do not give them the time of day. They should change their name because it’s a disgrace to the original ownership.

My favorite location for a roast beef sandwich in the area-nothing compares to you Royal Roast Beef. Normally, I get my sandwich with mayo, bbq sauce, and cheese. The fries are good too, normally have a good crisp to them. Also, I love that this place switched to coca-cola products from pepsi years ago. There is a large parking lot and a few tables inside if you’d like to eat in.
