Princess Nails

Got a manicure here with a friend. It was $ 12, so not too bad. They do pedicures, acrylics and do waxes too. I didn’t notice any prices for these though. They had a good selection of polish and they do a good job. They rush though and I found that kind of annoying. Overall it was a good experience. I would come back.

I have been going here on and off for about 5 years now, however after last night I will not go back again. FINALLY FINISHED. This is the 3^rd time this has happened, you make an appointment, show up for it and sit and wait because Tina has taken a walk in 15 minutes before you are scheudled. She thinks nothing of having a regular customer wait for 15 – 20 minutes from their scheduled time and keeps saying 5 more minutes. Well I have other things to do and schedule accordingly so when you make me wait for another 15 – 20 minutes after what I scheduled it messes up my other appointments. I ended up walking out last night and going elsewhere. It’s all about money for them. Although Tina does a good job– there are others I’m sure who will be just as good.

I have had trouble finding a place that does acryllics as well as Tina at this place does. They have great prices and dont awkwardly talk too much while doing your nails. I only had one bad experience here and it was because I made the mistake of going in for a fill on Tina’s day off… apparently the other girls only do manis and pedis. Every single one of my nails broke within 2 days.

If I would known this was the same place as I used before; I would have NEVER GONE! They have not changed in 4 years. I went with my daughter and we both weren’t happy. We didn’t want our nails cut down (already active length) and they did HORRIBLE!!! My nails were squared and NOW rounded, almond shaped & didnt completely fill. I tried to tell the lady but COULDNT UNDERSTAND & talked to each other in their language! Completely uneven/​thin to thick to thin, not smooth which left lines from the drill & bumps! Plus when she did the drill underneath the nail she cut me; woke up this morning finger red, swollen, and hurt! BEWARE OF THIS PLACE! After they put us under the driers they ALL went in back… No tips on your credit card & unprofessional & they rush!!!

I went here based on the positive reviews and got a pedicure/​manicure as well as brow and a lip wax. The mani/​pedi was $ 35 like most places and the waxing was $ 10 for brow and $ 7 for lips. Not bad at all.
I am only giving three stars for now because my entire left hand’s polish became smudged when I went to wash dishes. I had dried them three times in the dryer so you would think that wouldn’t happen. But I will give them another try as the waxing was immaculate and the staff was really friendly!
One thing to note. Despite all of the signs about needing to give cash tips as opposed to putting them on your card, they let me leave a tip via my debit card which was great!
Also, they have moved and are no longer at 409 Main Street. Their new address is 263 Main Street, near the Stop & Shop.

There are about a million nail salons in Stoneham, but I find myself returning to princess nails over and over again. Here’s why:
1. They are fast, cheap and do a pretty good job most of the time. A manicure is $ 12. A pedicure is $ 25. Or you can get both for $ 35.
2. They have awesome massage chairs if you’re going to get a pedicure.
3. Most of the time you can walk right in with out an appointment and get your nails done right away. I think the longest I have ever waited was about 10 minutes. And did I mention they are fast?
The only negatives to this place are the following:
1. The service is very impersonal. They are fast but sometimes it feels like they are going to fast just to get you done and move on to the next customer. If you’re going for pampering, I’d recommend going somewhere else.
2. They often speak in Vietnamese to each other and if you have a complex, like me, you’re always wondering if they are talking about you and what they are saying.
3. Like the other reviewer mentioned, you cannot put a tip on your credit card. I never have cash and always forget this so I always feel terrible and then have to run to an ATM and come back with a tip, which is super inconvenient.

Great service, great people. They not only do acrylic nails, but mani’s and pedi’s, facials and a serious eyebrow wax for $ 10 (they shape according to your face — which is awesome for those who have no idea…)
In about an hour you are in and out… fabulous! They do wedding parties — men and women and offer gift certificates.
One time I loved a colour of nail polish and wanted to buy it — dontcha know they got it for me?!? NICE! love them because they remember me too.
