Southern Trillium Landscape Design and Installation

We have a retaining wall about 2.5 feet high and 30 feet long. The original wall was made out of railroad ties and after being up about 25ish years, termites and time had taken it’s toll. We priced a lot of different kinds of walls and Southern Trillium quoted us a price for a stone wall that was comparable to some other places that gave us quotes for timber walls.
The demolition of the old wall went by pretty fast and they got rid of everything. They put up the new wall in a day and a half and it is perfect.
I could not have asked for better.

Scott from Trillium came and helped me assess my drainage problem. He took time to explain everything and then answered several rounds of questions via email. He also was not put off by me wanting to do the actual excavation work myself, happy to advise a DIYer. I was very grateful for this.

Okay, that’s a bit dramatic, but I have to say that Southern Trillium did a fantastic job in listening to me about my desires and vision for my yard and delivering a very detailed plan on how to get there. Their designs focus on native plant species that are drought tolerant and fairly easy to maintain, taking into consideration all aspects including drainage, amount of sunlight, and aesthetic value.
I paid $ 275 and received three copies of an architectural plan printed on large sheets with the grasses, plants, shrubs and trees coded to reference an additional booklet which has information about the plants, size estimates, best time to plant, etc.
In addition, they also do installation and can quote you in a phased approach if you’re not able to do the entire project at once. While I didn’t choose to have them install the hard-​scape and plants (I’m plugging away at it a little bit at a time by myself), it’s nice to know they’re there in case I give up and decide to hire it out.
