Overall, this was a very nice hotel! The service and staff were very friendly. The rooms were up to date and modern. The only downside was the location and breakfast. First, the breakfast. The waffle machines were broken while they had a very small selection. Leaving out standard options such as sausage and eggs(excluding the«egg omelette» which I don’t recommend). The location was odd and run down. It sits between a bowling alley and a high school. While not located in a high crime area, you could definitely notice the lower income society.

2÷13÷16 Arrived Friday night at yet another HI under renovation. Not that they informed us while booking. Asked at the desk and was told that they don’t do work on weekends. Shrug. So, of course, Saturday, 1pm, the drilling starts just as I am trying to get my toddler grandchild to nap. Sent my husband to inquire about what«no work on weekends“means in Atlanta. Desk clerk, shrugs again, and says, «I didn’t know.» Thanks. Also thanks for the cot that was sent when a crib was requested, and when a crib arrived, it was broken. My husband had to go help the clerk get another crib from storage because she was the only one on duty. I understand the need for renovation; just make that information available online when I book. And tell the desk clerk. Really? BTW, it’s Chinese New Year. You don’t do this sort of work during that time. Just saying…

Just your typical Hampton Inn, it is kind of a strange place between a bowling alley in a high school but just off the highway and easy to find when you’re paying attention. we shockingly check in after midnight, and still had a first floor room. set the air conditioner /70, but still feels like its 74 in here. All in all, I earn more Hilton points, packing up and headed to Alabama I recommend this place again

Updated Review; up to 3 stars, maybe 3.5 Because of the location, I just keep coming back, and honestly this hotel really tries to offer regulars a great stay experience. The staff here has always been very friendly, very professional, and very accommodating when possible in the numerous times I have stayed since my first review. The hotel still needs some work. I routinely find that my room as minor maintenance issued; bulbs burned out, doors that don’t shut right, cracked tiles, lose screws, etc that disturb me just because of my OCD and attention to detail. I typically don’t bother the front desk, but always try to leave a note with the recommended fixes. Overall thought, I keep coming back and would say this is a good hotel for the price and the nicest one in the immediate area. Original Review: Not the best Hilton Family Experience. I’m a Hilton Honors Diamond. I don’t say that because it means anything special other than I obviously travel and stay more than care to, so I’ve experiences lots of Hilton Hotels. Rm 125 at this one was bad. The room smelled like old wet blankets. The carpet along the exterior wall was soaked. The shower head was broken, and the tile in the bathroom was cracked and missing in a few spots. The room just felt dirty and dingy. The front desk said the hotel was sold out, and although very polite and apologetic, really had no solution so I had no options other than leave, which I wanted to, but had nowhere to go so I stayed. This is the third time at this Hampton and I keep hoping it would get better, but I really think this experience gave me the push to try somewhere else next time.

This is a typical Hampton Inn, which is pretty much a good thing. The room was a nice size, and well furnished. Everything was clean and in good working order. The bedding was quite comfortable. The best thing about this Hampton in is the location – very close to Stone Mountain Park. There are also a lot of decent restaurants within a mile or so – the front desk has a list of them. We would definitely stay again.
