I’ve never spent time in the area but met a buddy for lunch as this was his old standby. True diner, old bench sets that sagged, you know its been open a while. Service was iffy a we had a iffy server, but looked over that and ordered what we wanted. Got beers to start, took a bit but cold mug, good cold beer. Limited choices but ok. When it came to food, the Gyro caught me– and my buddy got the meatball lunch with salad. This was all pretty good food. Again, service was off but all in all, this weird quickly old diner was hitting the spot. MY Gyro was packed with meat. A lot! A a bit too much sauce as first but got it away and went to town. Meat was tender, good lamb, large cuts but tender so easy to eat for a great Greek Sandwich. The meatballs seemed hidden in a bowl of marinara and mozz cheese but thats what he wanted and loved it. Didn’t have time for a bathroom break so finished up, paid and had to go. Would I go back? Sure. Being new the area I would be tempted to try other places but for regulars here, I’m sure they have lots more to offer and have some really good food!

This is my favorite restaurant I’ve ever been to. I only get either a gyro or Colossus salad. Both have the same brown meat and tzatziki sauce. The meat is perfect. I’ve tried about 6 or 7 other places that serve the same gyro but none of them come close. Great atmosphere too. Strongly recommend.

My husband and I had a great experience here the other night! When we entered, we were greeted and seated right away. Our server was friendly and informative. I did not get her name unfortunately but she was young with long brown hair. We started with two salads, both were delicious! The croutons on the Caesar were amazing!!! The feta used in the Greek salad is top notch! We ordered a feta and pepperoni pizza. He pizza was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious! When we were leaving, everyone said goodbye. It was nice! I will return sometime this week.

It seems like many people find Colossus to be hit or miss. I’ve been eating here since I was a little kid(how many times that comprises, I have no idea), and I would estimate my total past experiences to be 90% fantastic, 10% average. My parents’ go-to is the Colossus pizza — a deliciously greasy mix of beef, Italian sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, and green peppers with plenty of cheese and a perfectly baked crust. There has been many a time when I’ve eaten that pizza, but I’m also the one in my family who enjoys branching out and trying different things. Their Greek food is delicious — and I am a Greek food connoisseur. Their classic gyro wrap on pita is very good, but hasn’t ever stood out to me. Their dinner selections are more noteworthy! I have attempted the Greek Plate — giant portions of gyro meat, souvlaki(pork tenderloin), and chicken served with feta cheese, olives, dolmathes(stuffed grape leaves), tzatziki sauce, and pita bread. It is a LOT of food, but you get your money’s worth! When I’m feeling less ambitious, I love the souvlaki plate, which also comes with a Greek salad. Don’t expect the authentic Greek salad — this one has lettuce in it — but is quite good with feta cheese and olives. I have had their lasagna before, which is super cheesy and served piping hot. Very good, but I would always prefer the pizza or Greek food here. The only relatively recent disappointment I’ve had was ordering their cheesecake, which was touted as something along the lines of «best cheesecake ever!» It was $ 8 or $ 9 per slice(same price as the Cheesecake Factory!) and was… average? Otherwise, Colossus is always one of my favorites, especially considering the good restaurant shortage around the Lilburn-Stone Mountain area.

This is a great restaurant. I always get the Greek salad and meat lasagna. This is the best around. The waitress are very good. Enjoy!

Place is only still in business due to the locals keeping it afloat. Everything seems to be reheated. The texture of the potatoes was the microwave feel. Don’t waste your time and money. Remember eating pizza here 20 years ago and it was good. Wtf happened! I’m sure your sales show a difference. Take a hint and get a new chef

This was my favorite restaurant for 25 years. They opened a new one in Tucker and it was terrible. Rude service, smaller portions, higher prices, slow service. And that is with the owner present. He told me they have only been open a month and all the employees are new. It made me appreciate how good the Lilburn restaurant is, UNTIL my last visit there. The portions were smaller, prices higher. They have ruined a good thing, and I don’t plan to go back. UPDATE: The Stone Mountain store has gone back to the original menu, as far as sandwich size and price. Maybe I had one bad order, or the person taking the order made a mistake, but they are back to the original recipe. It is back on the A list. The cold cut sub is great, plenty of meat, same with the gyro, tasty and plenty of it. The all-meat pizza is one of the seven wonders of the modern world. $ 3 off a large pizza on Tuesdays. I’m still not crazy about the Tucker location, which is a shame because I drive right by it every day. I

I used to live in the Mountain Park community, 23 years ago. My husband and I ate at Colossus on date nights and frequently with his tennis team after matches at Mtn Park Park. It was one of our favorite places! The food was delicious and the staff friendly. Yesterday I was in the area and talked my family into eating at Colossus. I was SO happy to find the food still delicious and the staff friendly and helpful. We had several entrees in our party of 5 and everyone was very happy with their choices! Finishing out meal with Greek Sundaes and Souvlaki! Yum Yum!!! Great job Colossus! I’ll make it a point to get back to visit again!

Colossus Pizza recently opened a restaurant in Tucker and so we figured we would try it in spite of the reviews and well… I guess it’s draw is the pizza and subs. This was not Greek. The tzatziki sauce was bland, the lettuce was iceberg and soggy. The Pitas were good Ill give em that. The gyro itself was boring. The service was probably the worst I’ve ever experienced. We were there for 20 mins without our order taken. Then they gave us the wrong order. While they tried to make it up by a free gyro, I left that as the tip. We will not be returning to this restaurant. Med grill is the standard for greek and this doesn’t cut it.

This is where taste buds go to die a slow, painful death. The Greek potatoes were clearly microwaved, they were steaming hot while the rest of the meal was lukewarm. The potatoes also tasted sour and had a slimy coating. Will not be returning.

I grew up around Lilburn and love Colossus food. I’ve since moved to Roswell, and the other night, I craved their delicious salad and sandwiches so much, I fought rush hour traffic on a Friday to get it! Staff is always friendly, food is always good, and even though I’m not so close, I plan to keep eating there whenever I can!

I stopped at Colossus Pizza to order a 12 inch roast beef sub for take out. We were going to the Laser Light show at Stone Mountain Park and wanted to picnic on the lawn while waiting for the show. They warmed it and cut it in half.. The perky teenage server, Miranda, invited us to return for brunch the next day. She said it was really good and popular. The owner sat silent, looking bored while I chatted with Miranda and waited for the sandwich. The place was nearly deserted at 6:00 on a Saturday evening. Some takeout pizza business was taking place. Miranda suggested that we arrive for brunch on Sunday before 12:15 because the place gets very busy after church. We arrived about 12:30, but the place was nearly empty for brunch. Colossus looks like a tired establishment, in need of a good cleaning and redecorating. It has a few regular customers still hanging on. A prominent sign said«senior discount on Wednesday.» Miranda suggested the crab cake entre for brunch. We both ordered them, but they appeared and tasted like heavily breaded, frozen items from grocery store that had been deep fried. Barely tasted/looked like crab meat. Each plate had a slice of tomato also. Miranda asked if we were ready for our check, and Roy asked for the«senior discount.» She replied that was Wednesday. Roy told her we were even older now than we were on Wednesday. Miranda held firm. The owner, still bored, ran our credit card and we left.

Best Greek pizza is Gwinnett! Hands down! Possibly all of metro atlanta! The crust is awesome so I imagine all pizza varieties are great here!

It seems to me that there’s a lot of grief given to small businesses that don’t get things perfect every single time, and so I feel as though some of the previous reviews over something as menial as to-go french fries or the manager being busy is useless. I’ve never once had an issue here. Colossus has some pretty damn good food, especially for the price. That place across the street is god awful compared to here. I think they use frozen pizza. I know they make their dough fresh because I’ve seem them make special requests(as in pizzas with no sauce or no cheese). They go back and make a new one. The staff is very friendly. There’s a guy who said he lost 130 pounds, and eats there 4 days a week. He’s pretty funny too. The owners are characters to say the least. I usually eat pizza here: Pepperoni, Italian Sausage and Extra Cheese. I think they use a different kind of cheese than other places, because this place stands out to me. That said, they’ve got a wide variety of stuff: sub sandwiches, gyros, Greek dishes, burgers, and pastas. Colossus seems to get a bad rap on Unilocal, but on other rating sites, like Urban Spoon and Trip Advisor, they look like they’re one of, if not the best place town. I’m inclined to agree. Keep up the good work guys!!!

Ate here once last year with a good friend and we both loved it. We had a couple appetizers, and the second was a wonderful saganaki. I mean, it was fantastic. Pure bliss, served with pita. I could go on and on about this cheese, I mean it was incredible. For the main, we went with the loaded potato pizza, then a new entry, and it was wonderful as well. Creative, too, and a showcase of passion put into their pizza craft which I admire. The atmosphere was actually a bit divey, but it really just added character. Unlike some places that give off that vibe, you can feel comfortable sitting down and indulging in your food and not fearing being thrown out for eating too slowly.

Horrible pizza! I just moved less than a ¼ mile away and got a pizza Togo one night. Needless to say I had to return the pizza because it was not cooked. Upon returning the mgr made me a new one and it came out the same way. He then proceeded to tell me that’s how their pizza is. What. So you just wasted another 30 mins of my time to give me another terrible pizza. I will never return!!!

Ate here for brunch — big mistake! Filthy dirty restaurant. Horrible undercooked food(we actually both got sick from eating here). Service was of the«I don’t really care» variety. The Dept of Health should really close this place down. I could go on and on but just do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

Been going to this place for over 20 years, take out. They have a good yet unique menu and pretty much everything is good sometimes. My wire and I are regulars here, we live close by and have eaten here more times than I know of. Sometimes it’s really good, other times good, other times not so good. It’s a crap-shoot. Great Gyros and Pizza, The cold cut is good most of the time. If you order the fries, they’re okay, They’re very similar to Kroger brand krinkle fries, thrown in hot oil and are sometimes burnt and sometimes soggy. If you’re in the area it’s worth a visit.
