This place survives off tourists like us so it will never go under. Definetly below average. I ordered the Hawiian Breakfast which claimed to have«generous amount of grilled pineapple» … what I got was one slice/ring of canned pineapple. Overpriced, bland food.

Seriously overpriced($ 10 veggie omlet that doesn’t event include home fries) and food was just ok. They don’t take credit cards either.

I’ve been coming to uncle bills for the last 20 years and every time it’s exceeded my expectations. Their peanut butter pancakes are the best I’ve gotten anywhere. I’m really disappointed to see the poor reviews because I’ve never heard anything bad about uncle bills. Fuck the haters uncles is my favorite. Quit bitching about the price you’re on one of the most expensive islands to stay at, and with it comes high quality high priced restaurants.

07÷05÷15 — 07÷11÷15 Service is always excellent and our food comes out in mins! Our server Mariah was very friendly and sweet. She always made sure to go the extra mile and that’s what made us come back for breakfast every morning.

Real solid breakfast spot. Fast and good food. The prices were reasonable and very family friendly. The pork roll omelet made my day. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Don’t plan to stay there long the tables flip quick and your food comes out super fast. Which I think is great. We went 2x on our vacation.

Our server was such a sweet girl. She was friendly, knew the menu, and was attentive to our coffee with refills whenever we got low. The food came out very quickly was all tasted amazing. The restaurant itself was extremely clean, especially considering the volume of customers. Try the peanut butter pancakes and scrapple!

Pretty good breakfast, although a bit pricey(9.50 for a Ham egg whites and cheese sandwich with stale potato chips incl. 1.50 charge for egg whites???) but it is the shore after all. No kids menu, which is really odd in a family friendly town. Pancakes were good as was the quick service, friendly staff all around, everyone was very very pleasant. It was good enough I will probably be back however I hope to find a real breakfast gem in stone harbor this summer!

It’s still great after all these years. The potatoes are a little disappointing. That’s not a home fried potato. That’s a tater tot. Everything else is just fine. Enthusiastic young waitress. A kooky little girl in a head scarf was riding a razr scooter in the restaurant. WTF Uncle Bill?

A great place for breakfadt at the shore… and it’s better then making it yourself. …no fuss… no clean up… the line moves fast and the waitresses always do a great job… we stop here often and always enjoy or choices.

Over priced over rated local chain. Kids love it but when does a pancake not appeal to a kid? There are better breakfasts in all the shore towns. Always packed with a long wait and just ok not great.

You’re down the shore so you can expect to pay a little bit more but this place does it right. «Uncle Bill» has eight locations and Stone Harbor was their first location some 50 years ago. You have to love the classic paper placement menus that is filled with various breakfast options. I love the peanut butter pancakes but there must be over a dozen version of pancakes to enjoy. Soft, fluffy and terrific! Scores of eggs, omelets, waffles and breakfast meats. The meats include a Philadelphia favorite scrapple(Habbersett brand) as well as bacon of course. But the only bacon they accept as payment is cash, unfortunately. What I really like about Uncle Bill’s though is the service. As I mentioned in my opening statement, they just do it right here. The waitresses are always super friendly, they bus tables quickly and get people in and out. This place is a pure throwback. My kids also love their chocolate milk, served in nifty spill proof kids cups!

Very good local pancake house dinner with super quick service and good food. The line goes out the door but people are moved in and out so quickly the wait is pretty quick. Be ready to order and get your food within less than 5 minutes and your check before you even start the last bite. Service is also very efficient so don’t expect many refills or any conversation. The coffee is super and the pancakes are top notch. I ordered peanut butter and banana pancakes which weren’t on the menu and they were happy to comply. The pancakes are fluffy and tasty and not overly heavy. Still, 3 are a lot for a single person.

The Bad — Expensive for what you get. The pancakes must be cooked in mass as they came out luke warm and rubbery. There was nothing great about these pancakes. A great pancake cold is still amazing, so it wasn’t temperature. If you think these are great pancakes you probably also think Domino’s Pizza is great. Thankfully the keep the pancake recipe a secret so I won’t have to eat them again. Western omelet was a mass of filling wrapped by a thin layer of eggs. The omelet didn’t come with home fries. The coffee was mediocre at best. They also don’t have sweet and low. Off peak times they leave tables dirty for a long time. Also they don’t take credit cards which is ironic as you need to take out a loan to pay the check. The Good — The waitress was great. Fast and friendly. If you want a fast breakfast the only way to beat their speed is a buffet or McDonald’s drive through. The prices are so high they rounded my check off to the nearest dollar. Who cares about making an extra $ 0.19 when you charge a family of 4 with 2 small kids over $ 50 for what would be $ 35 in most northern nj diners. This is another beach town restaurant that would have real problems serving this quality of food in the real world. This place reminds me of a rest stop on the Parkway. Mediocre, fast and expensive food served to a near captive audience.

I have been coming here with my family since I was born. And whether it’s eggs an omelette or pancakes it is all very good. The service is extremely fast and friendly. I love Uncle Bills.

When I first saw the gigantic flock of people outside, I thought this place would be fantastic. Maybe my expectations were a little too high. We were seated quickly, which was surprising, considering how packed the place was. Our waitress was nice but extremely slow. This would have been forgivable if she hadn’t forgotten several items and taken an eternity to refill our coffee and water. I ordered the Buttermilk Pancakes. For a place that apparently prides itself on pancakes – they were pretty average. Actually, everything about this place was pretty average. I’m in no hurry to return.

Before you order anything, check out the mound of bacon kept on the shelf outside the kitchen. Know that it is placed there by the bare handed kitchen worker, and watch how each waitress, after checking her order, will pluck slices of bacon from this mound, again with the bare hands that have touched so many other things this morning, and arrange the bacon the plate. My pancakes this AM were raw inside. Overpriced and unhealthy is my experience.

Went here with a few friends. It was around 11 on a Sunday and was probably halfway full in there. I ordered a combo that included pancakes, 2 eggs, and bacon. The service was lightning fast — our food was brought out in what seemed like 5 minutes after ordering. The pancakes were some of the best I’ve ever had, the eggs were cooked very nicely, and the bacon was good. The coffee was standard. Prices were a bit high for breakfast, but it was worth the quick service(plus, it’s a tourist town). I would definitely come back.

I ordered the waffle with peaches. The waffle was good, but all they did was open a can of peaches in thick goopy syrup and dump it on top. I understand peaches aren’t in season yet, but at least get the kind that are canned in juice, spear them with a fork, and shake off the excess liquid before placing them on the waffle. With that thick goop everywhere, it was sickly sweet and a complete mess. Oh, and they DO take credit cards, contrary to other reviews. They have a machine. The machine works, BUT their person working the register slides the cards super-slow so they don’t go through, then tells you that there’s something wrong with your card and to go use the ATM. She tried two different cards from my group and said the same thing. I told her to try the card again and actually swipe it this time, and watched as she did. Lo and behold, it went through! But of course, if the card goes through when they run it as credit, THEY pay the credit processing fees. If they can convince you that something’s wrong with your card and get you to use their ATM, YOU pay the fees which they get to keep. They have a vested interest in pretending your credit card doesn’t work – and they do so.

Went here for this first time this weekend. We were right in assuming they don’t take credit card as a lot of other places in Stone Harbor don’t. The service was very fast and the food was very good. The best pancakes/eggs/bacon I’ve ever had? No way, but it was good. I don’t think I’ll be back, the prices are way too high for a standard breakfast. $ 7.50 for eggs/bacon/toast, it’s not worth it.
