One of the best places I’ve eaten in a while! Got a bottle of Cab Sav which paired nicely with The Frank Underwood. Cheesecake with a beer reduction caramel sauce was on point!

Excellent euro bistro. A hidden gem in Stockton. I had the onion soup and spinach quiche and both were delicious. The quiche was light, fluffy and not greasy at all. Hands down, the best quiche I’ve had. My partner had the day’s special which was scallops over spinach and couscous. It was also very good. Larry, the owner, is the consummate host. He was welcoming and knowledgeable and made excellent food and wine recommendations. The vibe is very relaxed, aided by the extensive selection of wines. We topped off a wonderful meal with a slice of limoncello cake which was divine. I’ll definitely come back soon.

This little bistro/wine store is one of the best kept secrets in Stockton. Larry the owner is the quintessential host that will wait on you, make you feel at home, and give you every detail about the wine you would like to order, taste, or take home! Very unpretentious… which is good for me because I love wine but not so much wine snobs. Last night we were fortunate enough enjoy one of Larry’s Friday night dinners with a wine flight. Dinner included a sampling of three delightful entrees; organic chicken breast, sea scallops, and a smokey andouille sausage all served on a bed of creamy polenta with a dolup of ratatouille vegetables on the side. We both cleaned our plates. I sampled some whites from Lodi & Italy and a Zin from Lodi and when I wasn’t crazy about my white choices I described to Larry my favorite Chardonnay. He brought out a taste from a winery that I can’t even remember the name of, it was new to me. Going to have to stop by next time I’m in the neighborhood. It was perfect blend of fruity for me.

Little gem in Stockton. Great find on groupon. Quiet and intimate ambience, classy décor. Food was delicately prepared, in a typical european style. Prices are reasonable, and combined with groupon, it’s a great deal for us. Highly recommended!

Great little restaurant with a very peaceful and calming atmosphere. The quiche’s are excellent and the side salads are very fresh and refreshing! The small plates are actually just right. Reasonable prices. One of my favorite places.

Absolute nirvana. Warning, addictive! My dependency for three decades. Forget the soup nazi, this is the blue ribbon soup purveyor. Ultimate chocolate mousse tort on the planet. Swiss style and euro wines. Salads are superior. Raclette is awesome. Cheese trays are incredible. Great owner, excellent atmosphere, very relaxing and fantastic escape. Unbeatable, even the coffee and water are a work of art. Life is good as long as I can go weekly.

O.M.G!!! A place that’s actually civilized with a real sense of peacefulness… a Parisian getaway with a side of tasty vino and mouthwatering cheese, fresh crisp salad and soul– warming homemade soups!!! INSTOCKTON? Yes it’s possible ppl! I’m not on crack! It’s quaint, delicious, ooober relaxing, and quite simply what Stockon NEEDS!

We have been to Wine Wizards before years ago and left unimpressed but we saw a Groupon for the place and decided to give it another shot for lunch. It hasn’t changed a bit. We had the ham and cheddar sandwich and the turkey and cream cheese wrap which were both good but this place has such a boring atmosphere and no energy to it that it distracts from the food. It really needs some jazz or classical music playing to make it feel more alive in there instead of the library feel. The outside tables look like they came from a school cafeteria with ugly baby blue trim. I am sure they are struggling and lunch does not seem to be their priority but some inexpensive changes could be made to brighten up the place. We are not wine nuts but it does seem this place has an extensive wine list and is probably more popular on Friday nights. The cappuccino was excellent but that was the most memorable part of the lunch. The service was basic with no real attentiveness and they only had two other tables. Won’t be back which is sad because Stockton needs good independent restaurants as we have too many big chains out here.

Great place in Stockton for your Hard-to-Find Wines. This place is kinda hidden(behind the Marshall’s plaza) though. I actually stumbled upon this place on a Thursday and realized that they have a wine-tasting every first Thursday of the month… wine tasting of new wines that you can’t buy in the stores(mostly French and sometimes Italians). Quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

Another one of my secret spots for the classy. Mostly seniors and wine connoisseurs frequent this place. Small menu with small plates. Perfect for wine drinking in a quite atmosphere. Dinner is only served Friday nights with a reservation and the menu changes every week. The owner is the same owner it has had for years. Stop by and check it out.

Their lunch boards(made of any combination of three meats or cheeses) are a great deal. You can try lots of different cheeses or meats, and it comes with all of the following yumminess: bread, apple slices, and grapes. My only complaint about the cheese board is the bread. The crust is too soft and the inside is too yielding. They should invest in really good, crusty, fresh baked bread to make the cheese flavors pop. They are more than happy to package this up for you to go. They have a wall of wines, as well as a counter of sparkling drinks(pellegrino, orangina, etc) and chocolates. I asked for an easy to drink bottle of white for a bridal suite, and the recommendation was spot on. You can find local wines in addition to Napa Valley and French labels.

Great restaurant. Quaint euro bistro stylings. Great selection of mid priced wines. All food is made from scratch and many times with fresh vegetables and fruit from nearby farms and fresh herbs from the front planters. Special dinners on Friday nights only. Great coffees, teas, espressos made one at a time by a true master. Selection of cheeses and desserts too. Try some of the soups. They change daily and are truly a treat compared with the canned or microwaved offerings of other restaurants. My favorites: French Onion, Butternut Squash, Bean soup, Gaspacho. I love the Italian salad. It has a colorful medley of chopped bell peppers, olives and artichoke hearts with a nice vinaigrette. The quiches are really good. There is always a special of the day and a spinach quiche to choose from. There is a really great Turkey sandwich with a cranberry dressing, and the Ham and cheese croissant is very good too. Also if you need some wine advice for a dinner you are serving or to go with the meal that you ordered, the owners experience and suggestions are in my opinion, second to none. And lastly, the restaurant, bathrooms and floors are always very clean! They take a lot of pride in a clean establishment. Truly one of Stockton’s best little secret spots.
