I wanted to stay in the area and support Weston Ranch businesses. That is why I chose to go here. The initial phone-call and correspondence with the front desk was very pleasant and professional. It wasn’t until our day of appointment that I regret ever going here. We have been talking to our four year-old for weeks before his very first dentist appointment. We were quickly ushered in the back and the tech who led us into the x-ray room could not have been more cold to my child’s first dentist visit. The kindest thing they did was let me hold my son while they made no attempt to assure him that it was okay. That tech stood there while I tried to calm him myself and I even suggested that they show him how the x-ray is done. They just said, «Let me get someone else.» Now, my nervous child feels worse because they had to get someone else to «handle» him. While we waited, we could hear the group of employees talking loudly and absurdly. Well, this next tech wasn’t any better. The couple of minutes this tech stood there ended with, «He doesn’t need the x-rays anyway.» and moved us out of the room onto an examination chair. Of course, he freaks out but when the Dentist arrives, she provides that warmth that was so absent throughout our time in the back. My son quickly relaxes and he lets her examine his mouth. After this, he lets the last tech clean his teeth. This first dentist visit was very important because it sets the stage to future visits. I emphasize trust in those who work in the health field to my child and this experience has made me more aware that you should not trust them all. It felt like they did not want to take the time with this first timer, as if they needed to hurry us along because there were other patients. CLEARLY, this isn’t a child-friendly establishment, it would have been nice to know this beforehand. At first I was embarrassed by how my son was acting but I couldn’t blame him for being scared. Embarrassment quickly turned into anger when the behavior of some of the employees demonstrated incompetence, and unprofessionalism which reflected badly on the kind dentist. I cancelled my boyfriend’s appointment and I will never return to this place, nor will I ever recommend any of my neighbors or friends and family to come here. If someone were to ask me about this establishment, I will recant this story word for word.
