Great views and best experience for docking and food on the delta! Pizza is excellent!!! Highly recommend this place for a fun weekend getaway.

We stopped by today. The atmosphere is great but the food wasn’t. The adults had burgers, they were premade patties, costco style on basic buns, not warmed. Fries were ok, nothing fancy or remarkable. The kids pizza slices were ok, kids ate most of them. Plus the prices were really high for how bad the food was. There are many great choices for food on the delta this one isn’t one of them.

Kept passing Union Point Marina Bar & Grill on our way to Stockton and could see it had a terrific view and that people could eat outside on the deck. Finally stopped off to eat and take in the wonderful waterfront view. I would’ve preferred eating on the open deck, but it was too hot. Had a good hamburger. Diego, the long-time manager, was very attentive and went overboard(so to speak) to make sure we had a good experience. The place is closed for several months of the year, but when it’s open and you want an enjoyable place to kick back, try it!

Amazing spot on the water! We’re driving to Yosemite looking for dinner & drive past this place. Looks like a dive from the outside but the deck is awesome! Pizza is the best I’ve had in a long time! Very fresh, tons of cheese. The bartender & cook are so sweet! Highly recommended stopping in for a beer & a sunset. Thanks for a great dinner!

Awesome location. Love pulling up with the boat. Gas dock convenient but a little more expensive than most. Good chicken nachos and margaritas. Avoid the chicken tacos. Make sure you call first to ensure they’re open. The people who work here are really nice.

Decided to spend the day on the delta and come to one our FAVs! To get your food, now you stand in line to order — which is way better then waiting for the waitresses to figure out who’s next. There is a huge blue bucket for tips right in front of your face so when you order and you hand over your money to pay, the bucket is right there underneath your hand. I left a $ 6 tip. Their prices have gone up a bit. There was 3 of us and we ordered 3 hamburgers, fries and two sodas = $ 58. I almost died. That is $ 20 per person with no alcohol. Yes, no beer or shots! Then we are waiting for our food and we realize that we have to pick it up, which is fine but you DON’T get tips for no service. Tips are for services provided and here I left a $ 6 tip and now I really want to go back and get my money! Disappointed with our food. Our hamburgers tasted like plastic with way too much salt and pepper. And the Fries were cold. But free refills on the sodas, woo hoo! Hope this is a one time thing…

We were on our way back from a weekend in the Sierra’s today, and were headed west on Highway 4, and drove past Union Point. Now, I have driven past this joint dozens of times over the years, but never stopped in. After sitting in traffic for a few hours in the heat of summer, what better excuse to get out of the car, stretch the legs, and grab a drink? In we go. Union Point has a good location right on the Delta, with ample parking for cars, and watercraft on their docks. Their bar is pretty straight forward, complete with no nonsense bartenders that can border on being unfriendly. This is sort of a dive bar, so that is no big deal to me. They have great outside seating ideal for soaking in some sun, and inside seating for those who need a little air conditioned cooling after a hot afternoon on the water. The food service layout is a little confusing. Order food at the booth outside, drinks from the waitress(I didn’t know there was table service outside) and wait for your number to be called. You have to pick up your food inside … No problem, we figured it out. The food? I’ve had better, and I’ve had worse. I got a slice of pizza. Average… Not bad. Definitely edible. They didn’t seem to have any condiments for their pizza… No Parm, pepper flakes or Oregano. Oh well. My lady ordered a green salad with blue cheese dressing. It was ordinary chopped iceberg lettuce. It was fresh and crispy, but a little plain. Again, edible. We ordered some bloody Mary’s from the bar, when asked about a possible drink list, the bartender was a little standoffish. We got what they poured… No attempt to upsell from well vodka. Would I stop there again? Time will tell. It seems like a good choice for boaters who are out on the Delta with few dining choices, but for a Roadside restaurant it was kind of plain.

Dropping it down after what appears to be a change in ownership… Just sad when businesses lose focus…

Great location but not so great food. Had the salad and it was iceberg lettuce and orange tomatoes… honestly there were fresher tomatoes on the curve of the road outside falling out of the local harvest haul! It was very peaceful out on the deck and I would assume the seafood would be fresh and good. But most of the menu is fried. Not many healthy or fresh options.

This place is accessible by both car and by water. I’ve driven by several times, seen numerous cars, but had never stopped in. But I decided to give it a try on this drive back from a long hike. The place has both indoor and outside seating. There’s no boat launch here, but there is plenty of dock space for those coming by water and looking for a bite to eat. There’s a full bar also… which is what I was after. I just had a couple beers and didn’t get anything to eat but did check out the menu. A lot of people were eating so I’m assuming the food must be OK… I did see a nacho plate that looked pretty tasty! The bartender told me that they are only opened during the summer season as most of the clients are boaters looking for food, fuel, and or drinks. According to their website, they’re open every day 11AM — 8PM. Both the inside and outside appeared to be well kept for a marina eatery. The atmosphere was pleasant. I’ll stop in again the next time I drive by(or boat by)…and will definitely try some of the food.

We love this place and jet ski or boat over to it from Tower Park every chance we get. Sorry that you’re closing for the season tomorrow but we’ll be back next season for sure. We enjoy the great food and the fantastic deck! One in our group yesterday said that was the best cheeseburger she had ever had. Gayle was great see you next spring!

I’ve stopped by a few times while just passing through. The hamburgers and sandwiches are good. The staff was very nice and provided great service! Would definitely come back and recommend this to anyone looking for good food with an awesome view!

Great place for food and drinks during boating in the delta near Stockton from launching at Discovery Bay. The fish tacos and onion rings were surprisingly good and I like them crunchy which they were. Everyone is friendly and happy as most people there are boaters and like to party.

Great spot, close to Disco Bay if you’re coming by boat(or by car for that matter) with plenty of boat parking. The food is fine and the potions are large but the way you have to stand in line and order food, then sit down is not very convenient. Its convenient for the staff /restaurant and that’s about it. You wait in line to order then you have to listen for your number then you have to go up and get everything yourself. And to top it off they have a line for gratuity on the voucher, why would I tip when I’m doing everything myself? On a busy Saturday its not very much fun.

Union point Bar and Grill is exactly what it claims to be… a bar and grill on the delta whose target market is delta boaters and the occasional passer by on Highway 4. Those of you who had amazingly high expectations of 5 Star Food and exceptional service had set yourselves up for a let down. A let down not because the food is bad nor because the service is poor but because your expectations were for Morton’s on the water. You occasionally have to wait a tad bit for food, which is much improved over normally bar type faire, and the service is fantastic. Naturally there will be a wait on a weekend given that Union Point is likely one of the busiest places on the water but it is hardly unreasonable and we have been going there for 8 years. This is a fun place with a ton of energy so be prepared to people watch, enjoy good food in a fun atmosphere and leave FULL! See y’all Friday… hope to be out there by 3:30!

On the delta and we are need of a bathroom, food, and more hard liquor. So we dock the boat right outside, watching a few of the people already sitting outside eating at a table or smoking a cigarette, and while we’re waiting another boat docks with friends that we know! Woohoo! =) We walk into the bar and order drinks all around. The bartender is great… realizing that we’re a pretty loud crowd as the other boat were obviously a few rounds ahead of us before we got there, but the bartender took all our orders including bar food quickly. Fried green beans were great as was the rest of the food(fries, chicken tenders, and such). There were so many of us, we started over crowding the aisle by the side bar, so some of us started conversing with others at the main bar to spread us out. We met three elderly ladies(all sisters) that live nearby, and a couple of hog men that swung by for a drink. Wait a sec! Did I say hog?!! Can I see the beauty? Sure! Walk out the other door and what do you know, the bar is right off the highway also. So convenient, great bar food, decent drinks, friendly staff, and great patrons!!! Definitely a stop while on the Delta… or apparently, just driving by! =) PS: One of the sisters is sik for jumping on the back of one of the hogs to have a quick ride with one of the guys! Awesome! =D

It’s a nice roadside dive bar with a marina/boat dock that has decent bar good views and has been fixed up more than a little over the years that I have been coming here. On my last/recent visit they put a sun shade over the open deck,(the sun can be brutal) and had fixed up the inside air conditioned dinning room. They even had a waitress that asked up what we wanted and brought it to us on a reasonably timely baisi; at least by Delta standards.(It used to be self serve/line up at an order window.) The food is ok to good burgers, sandwhiches and some simple salads. They have a full bar; my Mai-Tai was good but nothing special. There is a long boat dock with lots of parking and plenty of parking by the highway for you land lubbers. There is a nice gas dock to fill up the boat. The main bar still looks more than a little original/seedy but maybe it’s the next thing on the remodel list. The main reason to come is to people watch, boat watch and enjoy the river front view and thats why I give it four stars. Otherwise it would be an average to mediocur 3 star place. It’s a good place for a little dive bar slumming on the Delta on a sunny summer weekend afternoon.

I so had high hopes of this place! I really wish it could have been better. My friends and I were out on the delta for a friend’s birthday yesterday and we stopped in here for bathroom and beer. After ordering drinks at the bar, part of the group went to sit down at a table overlooking the water. From what I was told, before myself and some others sat down a waitress did come over and ask if anyone wanted food and those sitting there said no. However, one person did order a pizza. When myself and some others sat down we waited for a waiter for awhile(probably about 15 minutes) before we finally asked another waitress to ask them to come over. We then waited another 20 minutes for someone to come over and no one did so we ended up leaving. It was a bummer because we had planned to buy appetizers and shots for the birthday boy. The positive things were the quick service at the bar and the cute boy Jeff that I had a nice conversation with. But he was just a customer and wouldn’t be there all the time :) Good location and I understand they were busy on a hot summer Saturday — but still. the service was non-existence. I hope my next experience will be better

I’ve been visiting Union Point for many years. It’s a great place to ride my Harley to on a Sunday morning for a beer and some breakfast and a great place to stop off at and grab a beer on that hot day when I’m boating on the Delta. The food is always good. The beers are always cold. And the sunsets on the Delta from the rear patio can be compared to those on the Bayou or Key West. Absolutely breath taking!
