Excellent place to get your day started; awesome and friendly staff with superior coffee and delicious hand made scones. I love that they roast their coffee on-site. My favorite is the Ethiopian, which has a pronounced taste of blueberries. It’s stellar!

it’s a quiet & simple coffee roastery & shop. pretty chill place to just sit, drink coffee and catch up on emails or whatever. even reading a book on a sunny afternoon would be dope! the place itself was tucked into the end of an alley way which was pretty cool because it was off the sidewalk so it kind of felt like you were away from the downtown area and away from people.(sometimes you just like to be by yourself. haha.) when i stopped by they are finishing up roasting up some bean and cleaning up. really rad to get a glimpse of what goes on. i got a chance to try their latte. really good. i’m a simple guy so for the price and the taste/quality, it was spot-on! the latte did what it had to do. nice place overall!

If you blink or the sun is in your eyes at 830am, you might miss it. Loved the coffee though. The Barista was super crafty and meticulous. He made me a cold brew with mint simple syrup and a cortado. You can tell it’s a local spot where regulars come together. I work close by so I’ll definitely be back.

The coffee here is a good and strong! Cool little place, kind of hidden, which makes it a true hidden gem. Wish I could come out to here more often, but it’s a little ways away from where I’m at most of the time, but when I am near I swing by.

*Note: Jesus Mountain is going through some rebranding to become Trail Coffee Roasters This is a neat little spot. I’ve had some beans from JM that I used in a coffee-rubbed steak, but wasn’t drinking coffee at the time. Decided to swing by and grabbed some cold brew and a lb of «Campfire,» a blend of Jesus Mountain Estate light-medium roast(Nicaragua) and Sumatra. Not a bad price either at $ 13/lb. Has a real industrial feel– you’re definitely in their work space in a carved-out niche for drinking. If you like drinking /working at Starbucks, this might not be the space for you, but if you’re into visiting nano-breweries you’ll feel right at home, snug as a bug in a burlap sack

After going to The Alley(now Trail…) for a little over a year now, we realized it was time to leave a review. Every visit has been nothing short of superb. Admittedly, we would probably support the shop solely because of the friendly barista, but my goodness, the coffee and the handmade ingredients(i.e. pumpkin spice syrup, etc) are so good. Sooo good.

Best coffee! A million times better the any«big box» coffee houses. Gianna is such an amazing barista and so nice! I can’t wait until they move into their new location.

When I had jury duty for a week I came here four days in a row. I have tried the iced latte, hot lavender latte, caramel mocha, and cold brew coffee. Such a nice little spot downtown that is still relatively unknown. There isn’t much seating, just a couch and a small table inside and a few tables outside. The lavender latte is a must try! The barista is friendly and the interior of the place is so cool! A coffee processing plant/warehouse/retail store with the espresso bar right when you walk in. And this is what I’ll miss most about jury duty. There’s meter parking outside but a great place to stop by if you work downtown. The Alley is a local treasure and they host events like yoga in the alley and support other up and coming events and local businesses like the Stockmarket.

Cold brew here is awesome! Straight up or topped with cream/milk. And depending what homemade syrup is available makes it even better.

Coffee freshly roasted in front of your face! Coffee beans from such places as Nicaragua, Sumatra, and Costa Rica. Strolled in at around 10:00 am and ordered a mocha with a double shot and a latte for my pops. Good, quality, warm, & rich flavors that tasted awesome. Nice patio outside with limited seating inside. Comfortable looking sofa inside but occupied by a couple of Stockton’s finest just off a downtown tour on their bikes. NOTE– Spots frequented by cops are usually pretty good. Friendly baristas. Demolition planned for this block in the future but the owner,(I believe), spoke of them relocating to another downtown spot already picked out with a larger patio spot and longer hours! Yess! So excite! Then I could check it out more often since they’re closed weekends & by the time I get outta work during the week they’re closed. They close &4. Support your awesome local businesses!

Perfect. This adorable coffee shop has a beautiful outdoor patio, relaxing ambience and is filled with the scent of fresh ground beans. Everything here is delicious, and Gianna is always keeping things interesting with specialty syrups and seasonal drinks! Try the lavender cappuccino, it’s incredible! Stockton’s best kept secret for sure :)

I seldom give a five star for anything but feel inclined to get the word out how outstanding this coffee is. I mean really good! Coffee can sometimes be bitter or not have much flavor but this coffee is outstanding its flavorful and rich tasting. Downtown stockton has some incredible eateries, shops, and this awesome coffee shop and is well worth exploring.

Yes. Yes. And yes. I am from coffee Mecca and was really looking for a good cup and really afraid of my limited choices. I stumbled into the best place. The place smells of green coffee. I work for a roaster, that’s a huge deal. This place just took seventh place in the Cup of Excellence — which is a HUGE deal. Go here!

Best coffee I’ve found in Stockton. A bit hard to find, but don’t give up. It’s well worth the search. Family run roaster with some great brand from Nicaragua

Finally! Great coffee close to home :) So far I’ve tried their Jesus Mountain Estate(light-medium roast) and Delta(medium roast). I tend to prefer lighter roasts and these do not disappoint. They also offer a terrific cold brew. It’s very well balanced… not too acidic and pleasant to the palate. I’m glad they finally got the coffee cart up and running. My only gripe is that it opens at 9am… that’s kind of late for an early bird like me… i need my coffee at least by 8am or else i’m a zombie.

I’m amazed– artisan style coffee roasted and brewed here in Stockton, CA.FINALLY. Bing Kirk is the son of a fellow church member, and she brought in some light and medium roasts for us to try. Both were awesome! I am partial to medium and dark roasts, so I really enjoy NoNi’s Italian beans and the Delta Roast. I’ve purchased my own beans, always roasted locally within the last few days, and even brewing coffee at home tastes like a cup fresh from some cozy little over-priced café in a major city ;)
