Stockton has reopened! And it’s open for motorcycles! The 2014 Minimoto/Supermoto track schedule is a follows: 1 – 25 2 – 15 3 – 15 4 – 27 5 – 25 6 – 29 7 – 20 8 – 17 9 – 21 10–(TBA) 11 – 15 Allen runs the track is doing a great job. Prices are $ 40 per rider. I’ve ridden Stockton 4 times since it’s been reopened plus participated in a Minimoto USA round at the track. The track surface is sticky and designed with many possible configurations. I’ve seen riders young and old on the track. As young as 4 and as old as 94(ok, I don’t really know the oldest person to ride, but everyone is invited). Seriously though, my daughter is 9 and she rides with me on the track. And I have a hard time keeping up! For more information contact Allen at or call 209−598−3124. And I’ll see YOU on the starting grid!

My opinion is that if it’s a racetrack in someones backyard or a Mega million dollar race track like Daytona, it’s got 5 stars from me. Racing is the most pure form of entertainment on earth. You can stand on the sidewalk outside of the gates, sit in the grandstands, walk thru the pits or sit behind the wheel. Any form of racing is as good as it gets. Support your local tracks and come check this place out. Racer or not you’ll get hooked. Stockton motorplex is a great place to enjoy your day, evening or night & Scott in the MMI kart shop is a real cool dude. Who knows you might even want to get a public rental kart from him and give it a try for yourself. Enjoy!

This is the best bang for the buck for supermoto track days, the only other track is at Infineon Raceway for way more money, and Infineon is only open a couple times a month… not nearly enough practice time for newbies, addicts, or someone trying to go pro! This place is open EVERYMONDAY for supermoto(unless its really horrible weather), and a supermoto day is the same price as a kart day $ 25 for the entire day(until you run out of race fuel, you crash, or you grenade your motor!) The track is in pretty good condition, there are a couple areas that need attention, but they don’t affect much. The track layouts change a little bit on occasion,(counter-clockwise is the best!) but it’s always fun & really helps sharpen my skills for riding bigger bikes on the street. This place has a decent restroom facility instead of porta-potties, plenty of parking, the other riders are really cool & helpful, when I was really new they wouldn’t pass me aggressively & risk making me crash. they passed after they knew what line I was going to stay in, or in a safe place. Some guys are amazing to watch, they drift the bikes into turns & it looks like pure magic! I only hope one day I can back it in half as well as these guys do! Its the most blatant example of «counter steering» I’ve ever seen in person… absolutely incredible! It always looks like they’re abouuuuut to crash. but they never do! I could go to this place, just watch people ride & work on my photography skills all day and still enjoy myself! One time, I ran out of gas, but wasn’t aware that I ran out(I’ve never run out of gas before!) .I thought I just stalled, but a random guy stopped & asked if I was okay, because I was trying to kick start the 450(its never easy!) with no luck, tiring myself out. He had me hold his bike up, then tried to kick mine started a few times, no luck, then he check the gas haha. by that time my bf noticed I hadn’t come around the track on time & rode out to look for me(and possibly scrape myself & his bike & rubble up off the track! haha), and we both thanked dude for his help. and he went on his way. I rode the bike with gas, back to the truck & my bf got to walk the out of gas bike allllll the way back, from the farthest point out on the track of course!(That’s what he gets for letting a bike I’M riding… run out of gas! THENERVE!!) The End!

This review is for the kart track, ran by HiGear Entertainment. It is located right next to the airport and although it’s very small, narrow, bumpy track, for some reason I keep coming back for more! This is not your typical kart rental facility, but rather a place to bring your own outdoor kart to have some fun honing your skills or racing in their race series. Comparatively speaking, they are very inexpensive and this is most likely the main reason I come back for me. They are also fairly close to me(I live in Pleasanton), so it’s a straight shot up 580E to get there. The one downside to the track is it’s size. Not only is it a short track with only one decent straightaway, but it’s very narrow as well. This fares okay for the KT’s, HPV’s and perhaps the TAG’s, but any shifter is a handful there. Since I run a 125 shifter, it’s definitely a handful to operate out there. But regardless, it’s great fun out there and I will not let the track size prevent me from getting out there and pretending I am Schumacher! So if you have a kart, live in the East Bay and want to run your kart, give this track a shot. For about $ 25, you can have some serious fun! They are even open until 10pm on Wednesday nights, so you can run under the lights.
