Smart & Final

In my opinion the best large chain grocery store in the area in terms of quality, cleanliness, presentation, comfortability, freshness, bulk, and healthy choices. I always feel just a bit more «developed and established» every time I choose to go here instead of Food 4 Less or Grocery Outlet. Out of the three big boys on the street, this grocery store is the smallest, but definitely the most upscale of the three.
The location is alright, parking on the smallish side for the following that this chain has. It’s a lot more intimate than the other grocery stores as well.
In terms of price they’re competitive, but not cheap. Of course the advantage that Smart And Final has is their offering of bulk items.
All in all, you should be walking in and walking out feeling just as fresh as the food and drink you just bought!

The prices I really great!!! for a store on east side of Stockton they have lots of stuff. You all ways find what you need the workers are very nice and the store is nice and clean. It’s my to go store to when I need something in big or small quantities !!!

I went to this location for the first time today as I was in the area.
I wasn’t impressed and it started w/​the parking lot. The parking lot is small/​tight– it kinda feels like they jammed this store in a lot that would be better suited for something other than a grocery store.
The store itself was dank and the employees have forgotten how to smile and acknowledge a customer.
I did get a good deal on chicken breasts $ 1.87 lb. They had bagged gala apples that were on sale but they were bruised and just unappealing– you know what they say about one bad apple…
Anyway I’m glad I stopped in at least once but I’ll stick to the location on Hammer where the produce is plenty– the store is spacious, well lit, and clean.

Not the largest selection but the prices are hard to beat and on the east side of Stockton we don’t have many choices, at least they have edible meat and not the crap food 4 more offers

I like this store to buy certain bigger items, such as sugar, dish soap, paper towels and a few others… the staff is nice

I have been shopping at this location over the past 3+ years and find that they have a good selection of food Items and products that are priced reasonably. The problem is that they do not manage the facility optimally in my opinion. Customer service is not bad, it is not the issue. I have had more then one experience in the parking lot with people begging for money and loitering around the area. I know that I am not the only customer that has mentioned the discomfort of this to the store management. I my self have went so far as to place calls to the corporate office to help find resolve for parking lot annoyances, as well as the fact that these people use the bathroom openly on the ground in door way at the North West corner of the Smart and Final building there.
As of the past few months I only do my shopping there when there is not other options available. After talking more then one time with the area manager, nothing has been done to resolve this issue. It would surely be nice to have a clean and safe feeling environment at and around this location. Once inside the store I am a fan of what they offer and how they price their goods.
