Romancing The Stone

I finally convinced my husband it was time for a kitchen re-​do and new flooring. I had looked at a couple of big box stores but didn’t feel I was getting the information and help I needed. I stopped in at Romancing the Stone as it’s close to home. And that’s decision I have not regretted for a second.
Chris in the showroom was patient, informative and so very helpful. Just can’t say enough good about him. And the showroom is amazing! Lisa came and measured, answered some more of my questions and provided an estimate. The rest is history.
Could not be happier with the end result. The kitchen counters and back splash look fantastic. Excellent workmanship and done in a very timely manner too. Lisa is hands on, checking on the work and doing some herself. She’s quick to respond to phone calls too.
Next was flooring in the front of the house and down the hall. We wanted bamboo after doing some research. The showroom didn’t have samples so Chris got some for us. The craftsmanship in the installation amazed us! All the crew takes such pride in what they do and offered a couple of suggestions that made the finished job look fantastic, Couldn’t be happier. And again, Lisa was there every step of the way to make sure we were satisfied,
Pricing was well in line with the quick quotes I received from the big boxes, Plus we were able to deal with someone local. Excellent job, fair pricing and superb customer service!

This place doesn’t even deserve one star. I have called and left messages in November, December and January and NO ONE will call me back. When I called in January, I actually spoke to a real live person. So, I thought I would receive a call back. Nope, not one call. I have money to spend to replace my kitchen counter tops, but apparently they don’t need my business. I always try to work with the local businesses, but this is one I will mark off my list. Very disappointing!

I have used Romancing The Stone over the last couple of years for some work at my house. The first project was to replace my kitchen tile countertop with granite and it looks amazing. The entire process was pleasant and professional. About a year later I had them replace the floor tile in the kitchen and replace the carpet in the house with wood flooring. Again, the entire process was smooth and professional. The wood flooring has been a great addition and the quality of work is excellent. I plan on having a small remodel completed of the master bathroom (tub, flooring, granite countertops, new toilet) and will be giving Lisa a call again. I thought the pricing of materials and work was very reasonable and their time line for completion was perfect. Lisa returned my phone calls in a timely manner, offered feedback and recommendations. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Romancing the Stone to anyone and look forward to working with Lisa again.
