I like their spicy chicken. And their biscuits are the best ive ever had but the workers just dont care what you order they dont listen and are rude. I feel like im talking to my 2 yr old when i order. Just review your food on the receipt and make sure if you take out they got everything, they forgot to add chicken in the boxes and forgot my order of fries as well.

Me and my fiancé were running late and didn’t have time to go to a sit down place so decided to do popeyes. We go inside and place our order and the lady put it down wrong. that wasn’t a big deal though because they isn’t even started the food anyways. But then we ended up waiting for 20 mins for them to tell me they don’t have lettuce so my po boy would be just shrimp and bread. They said they could use the lettuce used for Cole slaw and I said alright that’s fine. Five minutes later he comes over to us and tells us he’s not allowed to use it. We were so upset we got a refund and went to burger king instead even though we were in a time crunch. Terrible service and will not be going back!

What’s not to like? I know it’s fast food, but it is tasty chicken! This has been a good lunch stop for us on work days and they get us in and out pretty quick. The staff has always friendly and the food is hot. I get the spicy chicken and sweet tea. sure it’s sickeningly sweet, but sometimes you need a little sugar in your life!

(05÷18÷16) So it’s been maybe 9 months since I tried to get food here since they were always running out of something. They’ve been advertising the $ 4.99 chicken tender deal on TV so I thought I’d give them a shot again. Pull up to the drive thru aaaand that deal has been discontinued! Should have expected it at this location. The deal is still on their website stating it’s a limited time offer and started on May 2nd, which means they ran out of this deal in 16 days or less… Maybe I’m just not meant to enjoy Popeye’s.

It’s 3:51 and it seems like every time I come here I have to wait for my chicken!!! Never any apologize from the crew for the wait . If the chicken wasn’t so good, plus it’s the only Popeys in Stockton I would go somewhere else.

I hate how they ask you what sides you want & still give you whatever sides they feel like it. Asked for spicy got mild instead. Customer service here is a joke. How can a multi million dollar company not care about the quality of customer service & most importantly their consumers. Why even air a friendly commercial if it’s no where near close to it?

Worst Popeyes restaurant I’ve ever been to. While the food is good(when you can actually get it) the staff they hire is completely useless. They can’t get your order straight, they forget items, and can’t even keep their own numbering system right. Whoever the«manager» is can’t keep the food stocked so you’re always waiting for your order, and that’s if they don’t forget to actually send the order back to the«kitchen» which has happened twice, in the same visit. We just tried again, against my better judgement, and before we even placed out order, I’m hearing them talk about the 7 minute delay for chicken. So we left and will never come back. Unless we read they fired everyone. They also advertise that their $ 5 box includes a small drink, but when you order it they upcharge you $ 1. It is printed to look like the meal includes chicken AND2 sides, 1 biscuit and a small drink. But that’s the COMBO price, which is off to the side. And although you can select any(2) pieces of chicken, breasts are extra. I guess I would know that if I could read the fine print and see the little asterisk which is intentionally made small. Every other Popeyes I’ve been to is way better, but I guess that’s what you get in Stockton. Maybe it’s just the Sunday«B» squad that’s ruining this place, but we won’t be back. Oh, and the place is dirty as hell, but again, given its ghetto attitude, expected.

This was the last straw! I ordered a 3PC Fish with popcorn shrimp with double Red beans and 2 biscuits. Let’s rewind, 12 minutes before I even get to order. I waited in the drive thru behind a car for about 3 minutes. I pull to the speaker and hear the message and then nothing but silence. About a minute later, a lady says«I’ll be right with you.» Ok not too bad because I still haven’t 100% decided what I wanted. So to save their timer, I tell them I’ll just come inside. HUGEMISTAKE. I walk inside and wait in line. Two older woman were complaining that the tea tasted like water.(First sign to just go somewhere else) So literally 8 minutes pass by and I still haven’t even ordered. So I decide to just go back through the drive thru. I go through the drive thru again and now I’m the only car. What do I hear when I get to the speaker? Surprise, surprise, «I’ll be right with you.» Frustrated, I wait, and finally 2 min later a lady takes my order. She says she’ll have my total at the window. I pull up to the window and she repeats the order and I pay. When I look at the receipt, I see I was charged for 2 biscuits extra when she only repeated 1. I tell her that I only want 1 extra biscuit and she rolls her eyes and says«oh, well I charged 2 did you want to just take the extra biscuit?» I told her no I only want what I ordered and asked to be refunded the amount for the extra biscuit. She got an attitude and yelled to the manager«He wants a refund for a biscuit,» with a snarky attitude. After I get refunded for the extra biscuit, she hands me my food and basically rushes me away from the window. I check my food and everything is there so I go home. If only that’s where this review ends. When I got home I began to eat the most tasteless, watery red beans and rice I’ve ever experienced from any Popeye’s. I sucked it up and ate one anyway since I unluckily ordered an extra side of it. I then had a piece of fish with their«Sweet Heat» sauce. The fish wasn’t bad, but the sauce was! Very strange flavor. Then J began to eat the popcorn shrimp… Cold, rubbery, and gross. Literally inedible. Seeing how I has a $ 14 meal sitting in front of me and the only thing I was satisfied with were the 2 biscuits, I decided that I just wanted my money back. I drive back to the store, and go inside and ask of I could be refunded and told them what was wrong with the food. I even brought back the refund receipt from earlier just so they didn’t mistakenly refund me more than I actually paid. Some girl employee then said, well I’ll refund you for what you brought back. Ummmm I don’t think so. I manage a fast food restaurant and you CANNOT force a customer to accept partial refunds. I then asked to speak with a manager and another girl walks up and asks what was wrong. I repeated what I told the other girl and she starts digging through the bag and says«Well I’ll refund you the $ 9.49 since that’s all you have here left.» Frustrated, I ask if there is anyone else to speak with and then the«Restaurant General Manager» is notified of what’s happening. The entire time she was just sitting at a desk listening to earphones while there was a pretty long line forming beside me, that no one was taking care of. I tell her that I want a full refund and she asks«Did you bring back the food?» Even though her employee JUST brought the food to her desk, WITH the receipts. Very frustrated now I tell her«YES, I DID. It’s sitting at your desk, you don’t remember?!» And she starts singing g through the bag again! She then said«the store policy is to refund what you brought back so I can’t give you a full refund.» I told her that the main attraction here is supposed to be the fish and popcorn for the meal. The popcorn was inedible. The sides are supposed to compliment the meal, the sides were not good. I’m not paying full price to enjoy 2 biscuits and a lemonade. I then said that I would just call corporate and I’m sure they’ll give me a full refund plus a free voucher as well and she suddenly changed her tune and said«let me call my supervisor.» Aren’t you the RGM??? Long story short she calls her«supervisor» and he agrees to give me my full refund. Funny how that«store policy» changed in a matter of minutes. The story still doesn’t end here because when she was processing my refund the girl at the window started yelling saying«I already refunded him earlier» and the manager says I’m only giving you this much because they refunded you earlier. I said«yes, I know, that is why I gave you the refund receipt with the regular receipt!» She had me sign a slip and I told her that she needs to find a new job because she clearly isn’t in control of anything to allow something like this to happen. A very poor experience that has turned me away from this location for good. It’s a shame because most times the food was pretty decent.

Popeyes needs to train there team. Better I came at 6pm waiting for hour. The young mexican girl with black long hair cared more about her looks then timing the chicken correct for the dinner rush. I can’t believe this, there was alot of us waiting. On another note why isn’t anyone wearing hair nets especially with that long of hair. The place was also dirty, floor was sticky. It’s all bad. I won’t be back. Who knows what else is wrong. Maybe the health inspector should come out.

I ordered there new chicken strips. When i came home there was no dipping sauce(which was supposed to come with the meal). I ordered two of the same meals. I tried to eat them without the sauce and it tasted horrible. I called and spoke to two managers and they said that there was nothing that they could do for my inconvenience if i drove back to the store for them to correct my order. I then got upset, drove back to the store, gave them there food back and got a full refund of $ 16.31. I do not plan on eating a popey’s again anytime soon their food and their service was horrible

Mmm mmm mmm I love me some Popeye’s Chicken! The music as you walk through the doors always gets me dancing. Reminds me of New Orleans Square @ Disneyland. Very clean establishment. The cashier was very knowledgeable about the menu and as the crowd grew she did her best to get us out the door without rushing us. I do wish she would’ve smiled though. Oh well she was still nice. We had the 16 piece chicken meal with red rice and beans & mash potatoes. YUUUUUUM! With the biscuits and honey. Oh me oh my. So good. Try their sweet tea. It is Deeelicious. I will be back very soon.

After a weekend of campfire-cooked meals, my friend and I found ourselves really jonesing for some fried chicken and gizzard-y mashed potatoes. Knowing that I am so bad at directions that I recently literally got lost in a bathroom(ermagherd, why is this happening to me?!), he asks me to use his phone to navigate from Yosemite to the nearest Popeye’s. Siri says that we will be to this Popeye’s around 10:20. A quick Unilocal check informs me that they close at 10:30. Now, in retrospect, yes, we *could* have called our order in ahead of time, but we’ve both done our time in the fast food industry, and know that if we show up at 10:20, there should still be food. We pulled into the drive-through at 10:23, even though all of the lights in the building were off, and the place looked desolated. If nothing else, we wanted to confirm the closing time of 10:30. A friendly voice greets us and asks us what we want. Tired, my friend responds, «Just a second.» A completely different voice comes back at us(meaning that the first one was probably just a recording which had not been shut off). «Hey, sir, just to let you know, I don’t have any food to sell you, we’re closed.» «What? Don’t you close at 10:30?» «Yes, we close at 10:30, but we are all out of food, I don’t have anything to sell you.» «Well I drove all the way here thinking that you close at 10:30. I’m going to complain.» «I mean, if you want, we can cook the chicken, and you can wait for it, but it’s going to be about 20 minutes.» On reviews like this, I always feel compelled to mention that I have worked at several major fast food chains, and have also been a waitress. I’m not trying to be mean or picky, but when you work at a huge chain like Popeye’s, you are expected to have food left until closing– at least SOME food. At least, «Hey, we’re out of spicy chicken, are you okay with original?» Or maybe, «All I have left is biscuits and potatoes,» which, by the way, I would have personally been happy with. Something. The fact that we were greeted with«We have no food to sell you,» is a clear give-away of the fact that the employees had closed up shop early because they wanted to go home. I understand wanting to go home– but I also work at a huge retail chain, so I’m fresh out of sympathy for wanting to get home before your scheduled time off.

I knew there was a red sauce that came with it but I didn’t know what it was. When I got my order and they didn’t give me sauce. I didn’t know what the sauce was so I was wondering if they could just give me a packet of each sauce they had, like a medley of sauces! The older Latina lady I asked responded«No, we can’t do that» very rudely. I stood there for a few seconds to collect what had just happened, and waited to see if she could correct herself, or something! I ask«well does this order come with a sauce so I can have it». She gives it to me quietly and I leave. I went with a big a group and they saw everything so after we ate, we left our mess so they could pick it up for their crappy service. 2) I don’t know why I came back. Went up to the register with some friends, didn’t get greeted. A guy and a chick are behind the counter, we’re not greeted and the chick walks up to the register and it looks like she sorta zones out and is paying attention to something else. I order and pay cash, she rings me up and doesn’t give me my change back!!! What the heck?! I ask for it, and she zones out again! I get my change. Two bad experiences in a row, I don’t get it. Overall, they shouldn’t hire stupid people who are just going to offer bad service and taint their place!
