So everything seems normal until I pull up to the window. The cashier had fake acrylic nails on, chipped up and some missing. Red Flag! I guess she was the only one working so she doubled in the kitchen?!? NASTY&UNSANITARY!!!

Took me a while to even think about writing this review… But, I have to. Short and to the point. My experience goes as follows. Sevice person(s) not nice at all. Fish had foreign patticals in and on it. Did not complain, Just dumped in can as I left. I really don’t give bad reviews period. Sorry, this one I have to. Check you food closely. Oooops.

Dang Man, I think I’ll be coming here once a year. Straight greasy, but Long John Silver’s mastered the trick. Greasy food that taste pretty good. Service was cool, Good job Park Lee. I came here for my lunch break. With my coworker. It was a good idea at first. But I left feeling like I gained 10 pounds lol. We arrived during happy hour. 2 to 5 pm, Add a side for .99cents extra. I wasn’t to hungry, but went with it. I ordered a no#11 chicken and fish with Broccoli and added one piece of fish and chicken. My coworker ordered the no#2 platter: Broccoli, Green beans, fish and chicken and added extra fish and chicken along with a crab cake. We paid and got our drinks and utensils. Picked out a table and our order was brought to us in an instant. The chicken was good and the fish tasted better. I ended up peeling off the batter. Because it was major greasy. But I felt it tasted better with the batter on. Double edged sword type of thing. My broccoli was okay and I asked my coworker, how was his veggies and he said it was okay as well. The majority of our time there we just ended up cracking jokes on the all the grease. So now I need to find a strainer and put myself in it. To drain all the grease lol. I had a good time here. I’ll be back next year: p Life is Beautiful. .Vincent D. .*VD*

This place use to be good for their shrimp scampi over rice with hush puppies. My shrimp were under cook and raw. I had to zap them in microwave. Got onion rings as a side and they were hella salty. I think Habit has the best onion out of all fast food. Sweet tea taste like water. Im done! Last visit! Parking lot was empty too, I wonder why. Smh

In the U.S., most interstate, name brand, fast food places are all just about the same, with predictable fare. The same holds true about this particular LJS. What makes the difference is customer service. The staff are generally quite friendly, but the manager could not explain to me why a large sign on the front window advertized«Daily Specials, «when the store had discontinued offering them. The two meals I have ordered in the past couple of weeks are ok… Hushpuppies better than average, french fries unremarkable, and the fish and shrimp generally average to above average. The order of onion rings I bought for my wife, who loves that particularly dish, were, according to her, totally greasy and unpalatable.

It been while since I have been here but you got to eat something unhealthy once in a while. The lady at the register was really nice. It seemed she enjoys people. The another worker(Destiny) while we were eating asked if we wanted some mints. She brought us 6 and a couple coupons and told us if we took the survey we would get a free meal. Westnedge, Portage, Mi She went beyond the call of duty. As a marketer I’m really big on the customer experience.

Going d o w n h i l l !! Seems like there have been a few changes made in the last several months since the chain was purchased by a group of franchisees. The batter used to be lighter… the batter now seems more like a pancake batter… really holds the grease The ‘chicken strips’ are chunked and formed. I believe they used to be actual pieces of chicken. The tartar sauce… all sauce, not much else. Missing the chopped up pickles and other ingredients. Good news… you won’t need Chapstick for a week after you eat here. Tonight might have been my last visit to this restaurant. Sad…

Never lose a coin-toss to a stoner. There is just nothing to console you from your greasebucket surroundings except some extremely lackluster popcorn shrimp, because the fries taste like cardboard even when they’re hot and the Alaskan pollock strips have disturbingly smooth exteriors concealing mealy fish. I like to think the LJS in Houston wasn’t this bad when I was little.

The food was made pretty quick! By the time I got all of my sauces brought to my table, the guy was following me to give me my food! I was very surprised that it was ready that fast! LIKES: The fish is really good & crispy. The workers serve the food to your table. I like that they have a variety of different dipping sauces! DISLIKES: The food is pretty oily so I suggest to eat their food once in awhile, not all the time. I probably get Long John’s once every couple months.

I am starting to realize that this Long John’s is really hit or miss. I ate here twice in a week last time I was in the Stockton area and I had a pretty decent experience here the first time and a horrible experience the second time. The second time I came in and ordered my usual Fish & Shrimp meal. The guy who helped me was either tired, on a whole lot of medication or high.(Seriously, I am not exaggerating) I asked for double fries instead of fries and coleslaw. The guy kind of mumbled something and then asked me something about double fries. I once again explained that I just wanted double fries because I really do not like coleslaw. He said something about my meal and double fries and rung me up… he told me to have a seat and he would bring my meal out to me. Here is a picture of what he brought out to me: Hmmmm…that looks like coleslaw to me. After I asked him twice. I noticed through my meal that the line was REALLY horrible. worse than usual. I overheard them saying that one of the employees had been held up at gunpoint before work and was in the back of a cop car somewhere. Man that sucks but that seemed to be all they were talking about. I ordered a meal to go and it took 12 minutes for them to get me my order. That may not sound like a whole lot but that is forever at a fast food place. I will be back in the future… I just hope they do a better job. :0)

I wrote my review of my bad experience at Long Johns on their web site. I got an email from this owner/manager and I called and spoke with him about the issues they had. He emailed me a coupon for 2 free meals(whatever I want). And at the top there was an apology for everything too. That was really cool! I keep the apology/coupon but I am afraid to use it. The Long Johns employs these 15 – 19 year olds that would have no issues about doing something like spitting in the food of someone that complained about the place. So it is a nice gesture but I’m still not going back! so I give them a slightly higher rating, but only for the attempt by the manager/owner to make things right. He needs to do a complete re-hiring and start making better quality food though. It’s sad that I have to even think employees are that nasty/immature!

Went here last night for dinner, checked there website and downloaded a coupon for $ 4.00 off a 12pc family meal, the coupon said fish or chicken but I was able to mix it, comes with two sides and hush puppies, after the coupon it was about $ 17.00 I received wonderful service from the drive-thru, the lady was so polite and energetic when she took my order and even did a better job when I was at the window(I saved the receipt so I could post her name, only to loose it when I sat down to write the review) . My food was nice and greasy :) but very yummy, I love all the little«Krispy’s» they put in with the food, the food was hot and fresh, tried bread sticks for the first time and they are soft and good.

it was Friday… I’m supposed to be catholic… I’m broke… in my attempt to save my soul and forgo any red meat until Easter, i manipulated my sweetie to hit up long johns silver for dinner with me last Friday. yah, i saved my soul, but i nearly damned by stomach and appetite in the process. Ive not been here in almost a year– the taste and quality of the food really hasn’t changed although it seems like their décor has been remodeled since I’ve last eaten here with my brother. Amanda our cashier was friendly and helpful. however the fish and hush puppies are greasy and salty, the clam strips are like popping small, chewy strands of rubber bands into your mouth, and from last experience i wont even touch the coleslaw… and yet strangely enough, my body sometimes craves ljs once in awhile, as if its missing it’s dosage of sodium-laden-grease. the corporate offices of ljs should consider making their food less greasy and tastier… or at least do 10 hail mary’s and confess their sins. why i continue to sin and come back here every once in a long while is beyond me.

LOL … we came here just for good old memories from living in Colorado … and the fact that my hubby hasn’t eaten here for years as well. Only good for a trip down memory lane. Surprisingly, the place was almost full when we were eating!

See that nobody has done a review on this little fast food gem in a couple of years. One star is for cheap, one star is for better clam strips than the Red fish house we all know, and one star is for having raspberry iced tea on the drink machine. But seriously, for a dine and dash time when you’re not in the mood to carry a little red beeper around for 45 minutes, you could do worse. The fish portions are large enough, shrimp are not bad and all in all worth the buck. It appears they’ve redone the dining area with clean diner style tables, a few booths and along one wall, the raised level bar style tables.

We had lunch here today. Yummmmmmy fried fish, fried shrimp, fried hush puppies, french fries and cole slaw. They have always had the best tartar sauce. Didn’t realize that Long John Silvers is not too common in the East Bay. I have coworkers that drive to Manteca for a fried seafood feast. The bathroom was very clean… had that pine sol smell to it. The ice tea was very refreshing. Forgot my blood thinner chaser to follow all of the fried stuff with. Service was friendly. The place was almost full. Very good LJS.
