At the request of my brother, I ordered a bunch of different sandwiches for a family gathering. I had never been to the place and was pretty skeptical when I was told where it was at. The staff was great. The sandwiches are great! Bread was fresh and the meats were freshly prepared. I would definitely go again the next time I am close by. Great for take out. I really wouldn’t plan on dining in as space is limited.

Huong Lan on 1311 E Hammer Ln in Stockton, CA95210. (209) 473‑1111 So I wrote a review for here several years ago. It just vanished into thin air, I guess. Huong Lan is one of my go to spots for a Vietnamese sandwich aka banh mi. Back in the day I would come here a lot with my eldest daughter. She would get her Sammy and her Pink Pearl drink. I would order whatever looked good and some fried rice. The Banh Mi are pretty good here and so is the pre-made food they sell here too. The Pearl drink are good as well. Each time we come we always have a good time eating here. The service is good to us and not ever bad here. Inside it is pretty small and they sell all sorts of munchies. I really like these rice crackers called Binh Binh. They taste hecka good. So yeah, I will be back soon.

Can’t believe I haven’t written a review yet! Been going to this place ever since they opened since I used to work down the street. I moved to San Diego and when I come back to visit, I go to this place when I’m craving for a Vietnamese sandwich. This place is still as good as I remember it. –1 star for the service, it’s pretty lacking. But food wise the sandwiches and prepackaged foods have been consistently good.

i have been here twice when visiting the family and i have to say that their consistency is good, which is a good thing to come across. and it’s good to know that when you grab a sandwich it tastes the just the same as it did on your last visit, so kudos to that. i don’t live out here but i hear it’s located in a less-than-desirable part of town. hey, the good eats are typically found in the random places.

I probably hit up this little Vietnamese deli 2 – 3 times a week. The food is always fresh and the price is right! Try the banh mi — crusty sandwich w pickled veggies, cilantro, jalapeño…your choice of meat. What can I say, I LOVEPIG. Grilled pork is my addiction here. I also love it atop thin rice noodles and inside of noodle rolls. They have the usual spring rolls made w rice paper, shrimp and pork… but the grilled meatball version is also good. In the mornings they bring out warm trays of rice flour steamed rolls, filled with ground pork and mushrooms or shrimp. The Viet coffee is strong, creamy and sweet… and you can’t go wrong w any of the smoothies. But SUPER cool peeps get the taro shake w pearl. Just saying . My only complaint is that they don’t serve phở.

Bust a mission to get here on a Saturday morning! Wasn’t busy and staff were pretty friendly. Got teriyaki chicken and pork sandwiches. The sauce in the chicken was leaking out of the sandwich, but it was pretty decent. Pork sandwich wasn’t anything special. My real complaint is with the lack of pickled vegetables and filling. Bread was a little on the softer side but maybe I’m just surprised with anything softer than Lee’s bread. Definitely satisfied a craving but kinda disappointed in the quality. The avocado smoothie though… worth busting a mission for.

LOVE their BREAD! I think they have the best bread for Banh Mi(Vietnamese Sandwiches). I really like their Banh Mi. My favorite is the combo but I’ve tried almost all of them. Their drinks are also really good. I don’t eat there, I normally just order Banh Mi, drinks or grab some bread or food they already packed, pay and leave. It’s a small and clean place with friendly employees.

3 stars is pretty damn generous. I ordered the 3 sandwiches. I said the first one in English and the last two in Viet. It is a Vietnamese restaurant… The two guys at the register looked at me with blank faces. What is this awkward silence and confused look? Then one guy walks to the back to look for someone. He couldn’t find anyone, then he came back and asked what I wanted again. I repeat it… They look blank again. Then one guy says«So is that uhhh number 3?» I was like«No, it’s number 1, 5, and 7…» Then that guy disappears and some other random 3rd guy came to the register and I repeat my order. Were the first two guys shy or something? All you had to do was ask to repeat the order in English not just stand there with blank faces. They heard me talk in fluent, proper English prior haha. The sandwiches didn’t even taste as fresh as the ones in Sacramento. The«BBQ Pork Meat» sandwich was«BBQ pork adipose tissue» sandwich. It was literally 95% fat chunks and 5% meat. The bread tasted like it was from the day prior. After like 10 minutes the original guy number 2 says in a low tone, 20 ft away«uhhhh your sandwiches are umm ready…» No other customer was in the restaurant by the way. Customer service 101 dude. Speak up haha.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would!!! If you like to see roaches roaming about the dining floor and tables, this is the place to be! Lost my appetite and threw away $ 20 worth of food. Ugh

When this place opened up it was amazing, the service was good and so was the food. As the times went on, the service became slower and the food had gotten less appealing. If you notice on their signs it says all prices are tax include, however I had been charged every time. I also noticed that everyone before or after me that spoke Vietnamese to the cashiers never paid tax…

I was in town and my cousin referred me to this shop for a sandwich. I’m from Arizona so really the big and popular shop that we have was Lee’s Sandwiches. So, please if anyone in AZ knows of a place that sells the best vietnamese sandwich, let me know! Alright, so I tried the special combination sandwich with the three meats. Man, I felt like I was in heaven with every bite. I prefer my sandwiches a little warms, but even cold style made it all very delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys viet sandwiches because it’s worth the try!

Some of the best Vietnamese sandwiches in town. My daddy and I would drive to Elk Grove specifically for their sandwiches because it’s a chain. Huong Lan’s the Lee’s Sandwiches of NorCal. My dad was so happy to know that they were opening here in Stockton, so now we’ve gotten our mad fix of their sandwiches. We have it almost every week because it’s just so hard not to resist! It’s our next door neighbor, literally. Their customer service isn’t extremely amazing, but it does the job and it’s always the same ladies working here. It’s also a must-bring when you go to theme parks like Great America, Six Flags or just to Golden Gate Park for the day. It’s the best lunch ever. Go get some!

The best Viet food in town and that’s not an understatement. I used to go here daily. I always get the #43 grilled pork with rice! I always ask for extra jallepeños and they hook it up! Def a 5-star place in my opinion. I’m not even Vietnamese, either. We even stayed past closing once without any problems.

Super, rudeeee. I went in w/two other people. We each ordered a dish, drinks AND got some ready-made food. We sat down to eat and got kicked out before closing because they wanted to leave early. Literally we were almost done with our food and they couldn’t wait for us to finish. Closing is at 8– it was 7:40 when we got kicked out. I will never be coming back here again to get viet food. Its not even all that great, Superking has better food for less than these guys charge. BAD customer service.

Didn’t like this place. got a #7(steamed pork banh mi) and it was a pretty big size with lots of veggies(which I absolutely love) BUT there was no pork meat! I don’t know what it was… It looked like just fat or something jiggly… I threw it away): The ladies that work here are nice but the food is another story! I also got a taro shake and it wasn’t good, no taro flavor and it was white almost like they just put sugar, ice and milk together and blended it. I’m sorry I won’t be back here at least not for shakes or meat.
