The lady who own this place is very friendly, and super nice. She made me an amazing iced mocha, that takes 24 hours to brew 3 different types of coffee together. The mocha was AMAZING! Definitely not low calories though :) she makes homemade carrot cake that looked delicious.

House of Goodness!!! Love these mom & pop non-commercialized coffee spots. Great personable table service. They bring you a basket full of bagels and you choose which kind you want if your order requires one. The vanilla latte and mocha were made to order and delicious. The Mihran was tasty and fresh. I had it on a jalapeño bagel. Next time I’ll try one of their house made desserts. Maybe a scone. Good spot off the MiracleMile beaten path. A little on the pricey side. Check it!

Such a great local place! I got an order to go, and it was ready promptly and the staff was very nice. The only downsides are that they don’t take cards and their salad dressing is not great, but I loved everything else. There really aren’t a lot of small businesses anymore thanks to big corporate places. Shop local! Definitely check it out if you haven’t!

We always pass by this place when it’s not open, and were always curious. We finally made a point to stop in for lunch during the week. We were not disappointed. Tasty salads and sandwiches, and freshly brewed teas. We will be back.

I secretly don’t want to give this place five stars because I don’t want this place to get too popular… but really, everything is amazing. Located right behind Cocoro’s, this café is small, homey, and adorable. It’s the kind of place that reminds me of Little House on the Prairie, but with delicious food. Oh, and it’s CASHONLY! Both times my boyfriend and I came here, we ordered the mihran bagel and the lox bagel — the best. Being the carnivore that I am, I was scared that the mihran bagel would taste boring, but definitely the opposite. They give you so much avocado, and the combination of the cheese, tomato, and avocado was so perfect. The salad that came on the side was super refreshing as well! I think it was only seasoned with some lemon juice. For both of the bagels, we were able to choose what flavor bagel we wanted. We also ordered the carrot cake, which was great as well. The drinks are phenomenal! Honestly, I might have to say that they’re better than Empresso’s. So far I’ve ordered the dirty chai and the mocha, and they are both so good! Not too sweet, and they’re served in these fancy mugs that are so pretty for pictures. Also, the café has a whole bunch of different types of coffee beans that you can buy to take home, but I haven’t tried any yet. Next time! Besides the food, service is perfect. I also noticed a lot of older customers that seemed like regulars, which says a lot about this establishment. Soon I’ll be a regular too!

This is place is right off of Miracle Mile behind Cocoro’s. I’ve been looking for coffee places to try around the area. This one might not be ideal for studying(no wifi and only open til 4pm) but it’s nice and quiet, lots of natural light from the floor to ceiling windows, and there’s lots of seating inside and some outside so it could be good for catching up with friends or bringing a good book to read. I was in the area so I stopped in to get a drink to go. I tried the ice blended mocha with soy and it’s delicious! They didn’t have a dome lid to accommodate the mountain of whip(haha) but it wasn’t a big deal. I just sat down for a bit and enjoyed the peaceful morning in the café :) This place seems more conducive to sitting down and enjoying your coffee anyway so I’ll probably try that when I come back and have more time to stick around. Parking was easy since they have their own private lot that they share with a few other businesses. Service was also great! The owner was very nice. Cash only so come prepared! They have good variety on the menu so I’ll probably come back to try a hot drink next time or to have the affogato for dessert :)

This place is amazing, everything was delicious and service was great. The apple cake was the best I have ever had. The owners were very friendly visiting tables and chatting with customers, holding the door open for every elderly person who came in. Very family friendly, sweet people and great food!

Great food. Amazing service. The restaurant is run by a very nice family. We ordered a cheese croissant, vege bagel and a lemon pie. We also got spice chai and a mocha. They were all so delicious. A hidden gem in Stockton. Highly recommended.

I had a great time coming in here for lunch with my bestie Katie. There’s nothing like a bagel with cream cheese and lox! You know it’s a great place when they offer you capers too! I’m not even sure what capers are, but they sure are tasty with lox and cream cheese! I was very impressed by the different types of coffees and beverage choices they had here and I would definitely have to stop in as a regular to really get a good taste of what they have to offer. We thought the seating was cute and intimate, without being too crowded and the service was great. It’s tucked away on miracle mile and is definitely a hidden gem. Make sure you bring cash, they don’t take cards and you’ll want to have extra in case you see some baked goods you want to add to your order! I would have ordered more if I didn’t rely on plastic instead of cold hard cash as much as I do. I’ve learned some of the best places only take cash!

Sweet nectar of the gods… There are few things on this earth that have ever touched my lips quite so delectable as the dirty chai latte thing the best barista in the world, Pierre, makes. I’m not even sure what goes in it. Heaven? Orgasms? Cocaine? All of the above. I just walk in, we make eye contact, and he somehow produces without a doubt the most glorious beverage on this earth. I didn’t even know this guy before. He just intuitively decided that this was the drink for me, like some sort of telepathic savant. My boyfriend is mad jealous of our connection. Also because I often say how I’m going to marry him and drink sweet chai nectar for the rest of my days. Look I don’t even order food here. It’s actually quite good as well, but I just usually can’t get my lazy ass in the door before 3:55 when they are trying to close. And he’ll already be in there making my drink. Guys, listen. Do yourselves a favor and go to House of Shaw. Like, now.

This small café is the definition of a «hidden gem.» It is a family-owned business that puts out some delicious food and drinks. This is the type of place where there are many regulars, and the owners know what they are getting right when they walk in the door. The food: simple, but fresh ingredients make everything on the menu extremely tasty. My favorites are the hot pastrami sandwich w/garlic mayo, the tuna fish sandwich, and the lentil soup. As for the drinks, the mango iced tea and the chai latte w/a shot of espresso. Most of the items come with a salad, and the tomatoes are so bright and juicy. The hot pastrami is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! It’s so simple, but so flavorful. Something about the bread with the garlic sauce mixed with the pastrami makes every bite a pleasure. The service: friendly service by either the father, mother, or son. They always make sure you get exactly what you want. You can tell that the owners(especially the son) are passionate about food by the way they explain and concoct the items. This is truly a place I could eat at everyday.

My girlfriend and I stopped here randomly on our way to Sacramento. We split the Stanley’s croissant and a Jalapeño Bagel with cream cheese and jelly. She had a vanilla latte and I had an iced mocha. Everything was perfect and amazing! The owner was super sweet too!

CASHONLY. Now that’s outta the way… Sweet family run business with fresh ingredients. Laid-back atmosphere, where you could sit for a while, reading paper during breakfast or sipping espresso after lunch. Very limited parking. On previous visits, I’ve tried sandwiches, chai, Italian soda… thumbs up. Today’s visit included a croissant with melted Havarti, sparkling Apple juice, giant blueberry scone and a frothy steaming cappuccino. The café itself is all windows, nice and bright… but if you get a chance, grab a spot under the green umbrellas on the patio. Sit and sip and enjoy the swaying palm trees!

Came here with my friends last week. It’s a cute café behind cocoro. Parking is a little scarce, but everything on the mile is that way. They only take cash or check, and I only had my debit card with me, but the elderly man working there told me it was okay if I waited until I finished my food to go to the Atm. My friend ended up covering for me, but it was a still nice gesture! As for the food, I got a hot roast beef sandwich with a side salad and a mango iced tea. My friends and I all enjoyed our delicious food! You can really tell everything is made fresh here, the side salad was nice and crisp. I absolutely love the huge windows in this café, tons of natural light shines through! I will be sure to return soon to try their bagels I have heard so much about!

The owners behind the counter and staff were so nice and helpful the entire time my wife and I were there. They were very friendly towards everyone who came in and were more than happy to wait for us to order. Every exchange with them was met with a smile. You can’t help but love this place. As for the food, good lord it was delicious. From the home made scones and jams to the delicious coffees… I left very full and very happy. I can’t wait to come back and try out the rest of their menu! Great family owned business!
