Checked in around 7pm in a Saturday after visiting Galena. Greeted with a smile and asked which floor I preferred. The lobby was decorated for the holidays and looked cute and festive. Free coffee and cookies were a plus. Room was clean. Also, we forgot toothbrushes and toothpaste and were able to get some from the front which was very convenient. Will update once we eat the free breakfast tomorrow!

Stayed at this location to attend a Family Wedding in nearby Apple River, IL. A few other wedding guests stayed here as well. Nice, clean, great price with an offer for 25% off during a 3 day sale, I received by e-mail. Breakfast was included but I did not eat as I am Gluten Free and the items offered are for«normal» diets. My husband did eat near the end of their serving time. I am not faulting this hotel or any other that includes a «free» meal but not everyone is an early riser. Especially on a Weekend. So when you arrive near the end of the stated hours(I think it was 6AM-10AM) there should still be food available to each guest. I am talking about food that can be served the next day… not Hot Breakfast Items. Things like Pastries, Donuts, Fresh Fruit… it always seems like there is nothing left near the end… and that is not right… otherwise the hotel was nice, staff friendly. Only around 44 rooms and it was sold out that night.

I would stay again, it was nice and clean, had a nice lobby and books for guests. Fresh baked cookies are at the counter. He gave me a choice of what floor I wanted and asked if I wanted front or back. I’ve never been asked that before when I check in. I slept well, the room was clean and had a country feel. There’s an all night gas station in the parking lot with a store if you need anything. Restaurants and Main St. are near by. It’s a small town, but people are nice. At night, you can’t believe all the stars in the sky, surrounded by nice green farm land.

I had been planning to visit the Stockton/Elizabeth area for a few months to participate in the«Bike the UPS and DOWNS» ride. We arrived late(around 9P) on Friday night, and were greeted with a smile and warm WELCOME which was great after 3 hours of driving from Chicago. I had some family who also decided to come participate in the ride, so we needed an extra room — because the area isn’t so busy it wasn’t a space issue, but we were stoked to find that we were put in adjoining rooms! We didn’t even need to ask! The breakfast bar(warm and free) was just what we needed before the 53mi ride. Wendy(the manager we dealt with) was INCREDIBLE! We will DEFINITELY be back next year for the ride, and plan to stay here.
