Canal Street Sports Bar & Grill

Oh my GOD worst experience I have ever had at any restaurant in my entire life. So here we go let me explain. We Sat for 15 – 20 minutes before anyone ever came by and asked us if ever wanted anything. Keep in mind they only had one server for about twenty tables. It took forever to take our order and even longer to get it. The server couldn’t keep track of anything but it’s not entirely all her fault. She did have to work the bar and get drinks for every table but she couldn’t keep track of water refills and nothing came in any timely manner. The food really didn’t have much of a taste really no flavor so disappointing. The atmosphere was horrible also the Tv’s where so small and the echo of laughter from drunkin people filled this small place. We kept on having to flag down the waitress to get anything accomplished. We waited about 40 minutes to get the check took forever other couples were so mad also we weren’t the only ones. I left a tip I did though I felt like a penny 1 cent was well deserving and I never thought I would ever have to leave such a disrespectful gesture like that in my life but this place went above and beyond to make you feel so unsatisfied so I felt like a penny was deserving. Never again will I ever be back thanks Hilton you did a wonderful job of running away customers.

I was pleased we came here to watch a Bronco game. The other bars are so jam packed and loud during games (my age is showing!) Only one bartender who is also serving in the restaurant, so you have to be patient. Loved a quiet place to go to when the games are on.

I was In town visiting and went here from my hotel based on these reviews… big mistake. Ordered a burger medium and it came out cold and burnt, how do you burn it and yet make it cold? The fries were definitely reheated and not good. My buddy ordered the wings and he said they were good, but not great. The service was extremely slow and we had to go to the bar to get more drinks. If you are visiting and are not staying in the hotel, don’t bother going to here.

They have specials on Coors Lights for happy hour $ 4 pints plus they have lots of TV’s. The wings are super tasty if you want a tasty appetizer. Service is good but not GREAT. The Hilton is a diamond in the rough if you need a full service, clean, and modern hotel in Stockton. Definitely recommend

Canal Street is located in the Stockton Hilton and as far as hotel restaurants and bars go, is well above average. During my week stay at the Hilton, I had the Cobb salad, cilantro lime chicken salad, salmon, calamari, and the shrimp cocktail. All were very good, with the shrimp cocktail being the exception (rubbery). The bartender and waitress are very attentive, the alcohol selection is great, and overall, Canal Street leaves little reason to venture out of the hotel if you feel like staying in. Yes, the bread sometimes comes hot on the outside and cool in the middle but look: you aren’t at Claridges in London, having tea at Churchill’s favorite table. My god man, you’re in Stockton, California and this is a good restaurant.

Bartender Dottie is on fire! Making drinks, serving food at bar, answering room service calls– wow! Stellar employee! My taste buds were being picky and nothing was hitting the spot and her response to all if my requests was ‘Of course!!’ It’s nice to have a place to eat & get a drink in the hotel you are staying at after a long day. I’ve been here before and had great sandwiches. Tonight I tried to be healthy with a salad and it was ok it probably just me being tired! Thanks Dottie! The regular sitting next to me at the bar even plugged his phone in to charge at outlets under bar! Awesome!

To have Asparagus food for Stockton Asparagus Restaurants week, my friend & I went to this restaurant as the first place to try out the foods, surprisingly what we had turned out to be so delicious. I ordered Asparagus & Mushroom Wrap (with French Fries) and my friend ordered small size Chicken Asparagus Pizza. When her pizza was served, I cringed when I saw the thick crust, how wrong I was, it was sooooo soft and chewy, I know I shouldn’t use the word «chewy» to describe the texture on the pizza, but that was exactly how I felt when I was chewing the food, my wrap had nice flavor in it was also delicious and and crunchy. French Fries was just done right as well. And our server, Irene, is so friendly and courteous. We will definitely be back there to try out different kind of foods specially pizzas, we were told it is one of sought after foods on their Menu.
