when the stockton location was still open to the public, it was great! they had everything i needed at the perfect prices. It felt home-y and the people there were really helpful. i would go at least three times a month and stay there for hours just looking at all the shiny stuff, especially the beads. :) i miss Beverly’s.

I really like this place and the Mom and Pop feel of it. The Jo-Ann’s is shiny and stocked and whatever but Beverly’s…I dunno… it just feels comfy here. Sometimes they don’t have what I need in stock, but I always come out of here with something. I just like this place.

I really don’t frequent this place enough. My DIL lives in LA and just wishes they had a Beverly’s…seems like we are in an elite group here in Stockton. Let’s just remember though that if we don’t patronize our local gems they won’t be here forever. I love the scrap book section, so much that I usually have to ask for help. Then there’s the furniture, I know, it’s weird in a crafts store but Beverly’s is so much more. They actually have a lot of cute little cabinets, hutches and armoires for sale. The fabric section is also a favorite of mine, I’d have to say I prefer it over Joanne’s. I know Joanne’s is big and fancy but, I really like the small town feel of Beverly’s. Last year I bought a case of glass salad plates to paint monogram’s on for my daughter-in-laws Bridal Tea, they turned out so nice. I gave them to her as a gift along with wine glasses for each guest with their initial painted on it. Her motif was polka dots-the girl is crazy about polka dots so I did champagne glasses with white polka dots on them, those went home with said DIL too! She loved them. There’s nothing like a gift from the heart made with one’s own loving hands, folks really appreciate it. Go to Beverly’s, get yourself a craft to do and do it-your eyes won’t bleed as much as when Unilocaling!

Biked over to Stockton today to purchase some more Iron-On Patches from Jo-Ann Superstore on Trinity Parkway( ). During my previous rides I remembered there was a Fabric /Craft store on March Lane… decided to see what in the way of Iron-On Patches Beverly’s Fabrics had. And I’m Glad I did! Beverly’s has around four times the selection of Iron-On Patches compared to Jo-Ann’s… and most importantly they’re less expensive at Beverly’s! About ten per cent less expensive! There was, it looked like to me, a Sewing Circle thing going on early this morning… I guess Tuesday is the day to go to Beverly’s… Tuesday(today) is Senior Citizens Day at Beverly’s… if you’re 55 or older, you’ll receive 20% off of anything that is not already on Sale!
