The manager and his team here are absolutely outstanding a@w is my favorite fast food restaurant me and my grandpa always eat here but today i was without him and at a different location and this is by fair the best one ive eaten at and ive at least been to 15 different ones from sacramento roseville san jose Jackson lodi stockton lathrop and tracy i live in lathrop and that one is horrible but these guys are amazing thank you so much and yes im a real person and no i dont work here i work at lumber liquidators

They make the best root beer floats here. I’ve tried the root beer float in Campbell and Dublin. The Stockton location does not chince out on you with the ice cream. Unless you’ve tried it outside of Stockton, you don’t realize the inconsistency of the ice cream to root beer ratio everywhere else in the Bay Area.
The best float is in the technique.
Creamy float: Root beer first then ice cream. (Stockton)

I loved the food. I like it as fresh as possible so I always get the #5 on the KFC side. It takes 7 minutes for cook and prep, but so worth it. The employees were polite and efficient. I most definitely will be eating here again.

Wow. Not one but TWO security guards greeted me as I entered this business. In fact, one even opened the door for me. So intrusive. I felt like I was in downtown Baghdad. They eyed myself and the other customers the whole time. Overall a very uncomfortable experience. If KFC/A&W’s goal was to drive customers away, they’ve done a masterful job.

When i drove up to the drive thru speaker i didnt get a greet not even a «order when ur ready». I got «are u ready?». I ordered a chicken pot pie and a combo #5 for my nephew. While i was ordering the lady on the speaker kept saying «is that it?». When i drove up to the window there was no smile. I paid and left. The food was old, sloppy made and the soda was all over the cup. Bad service, bad food. Will not come here again.

Disappointing… My son and husband thought the hamburger was small and the root beer was more like a soft serve. But the rest of us enjoyed our meal. Customer service was ok.

If you’re shopping at Wal-​Mart and hungry but don’t want to eat at McDonald’s, just go across the street to the A&W/KFC. This review is only for the A&W side, as there are plenty of KFC’s elsewhere. I actually didn’t even know A&W had it’s own fast food chain, as I only know them for their root beer. Ordered a «Papa Burger» combo meal. The Papa burger tasted like a meatier big mac, but without the third bun. It was ok, definitely filling but the meat quality is obviously lacking. The fries tasted kind of similar to Wendy’s fries. The size that comes with the meal is quite small. They also have draft A&W root beer, so if you like A&W you’d like this. Overall, the food here was nothing special, but I’d prefer it over McDonald’s.

And a weird item that squeaks when you eat
it. cheese curds!
