Stickney-Forest View Public Library District

My family and I LOVE Stickney Forest View Library!!! Every day of the week they have actives for my 5 year old son. Everyone working there looks like they enjoy being there and makes for a very comfortable atmosphere. Everyone in the Youth services department rocks! Ms. Geralyn always helps find the best books! Everyone should go visit it’s an awesome place to be!

This library is awesome! Cathy is GREAT!!! They are real good with helping you find what you need and ordering it if they do not have it. Like I said Cathy is the BEST!

I think these last 15 years while living in Chicago I had gotten used to really crappy bizarre libraries. You know the ones in Chicago: small, dirty, and in a strip mall… or… huge, dirty, and with no working computer search stations or anyone to help you? Okay I didn’t live in the best neighborhoods then either. But…
The Stickney Forest View Library kicks ass!
No one ever complains or looks at my like I’m nuts when I request 42 inter-​library loans on books about chicken farming in your own backyard. There’s plenty o’ parking, nice tables and chairs to laze around in, coffee at 9am every day in the quiet reading room, visiting authors, book clubs for adults (and you get prizes… like you are 6 y/​o again! it’s awesome!), book clubs for kids, computer classes, knitting group… visiting chefs, visiting garden experts!
It’s the right size, just enough books & new books to always be able to pick something up — but small enough that they will remember who you are and set aside those chicken books for you!
