I am a big fan and frequently recommend Heart of the Beaches to anyone looking for a wonderful lunch. I’ve been here probably 4 or so times and each time, the ladies in the café make you feel very at home. The welcoming vibe is paired perfectly with some unique sandwich choices that are locally named, adding even more charm to this café. Make sure to stop in!

Great sandwiches, soups and malts. Very friendly service and a cute patio out back for nice days. What’s not to like? We had the turkey and chicken chili combo which was delicious and more than we could eat. The small chocolate malt with peanut butter(a special request not on the menu) was amazing and enough for two.

Great place for lunch! Delicious vegetable soup followed by grilled veggie sandwich are highly recommended. Drinks are from a soda bar and nothing special, but made up for by friendly staff.

Love, love, love this place! Roasted vegetable sandwich is so good. Corn chowder… yummy! My friend had the Cuban sandwich and that too was awesome. The service is exceptional and everyone is so friendly, I will be eating here often.

Very good little restaurant in Stevenson. I got the Rocky Gap special even though I don’t like blue cheese regularly and it was excellent. They offered to refill my root beer float with ice cream after I finished, it had already been pretty heavy on the ice cream, so I declined but it was very nice of them.

I am surprised there was only one review. I am a local and think this place is great. Friendly and competent service, good food, good price and is clean. Best soups in Berrien County! !

Wow! A hidden gem, close to the wine trail! Amazing homemade soups, panini«style» sandwiches, homemade sides, and of course a wonderful variety of homemade treats! Along with expanding Menu selections, they have recently opened for breakfast, have vegan and vegetarian options, as well as a few selections for children! With memorabilia of the village, the owners and staff love to share the history of their original late 1800’s building. They accept cash and credit/debit cards.

Beautiful restored soda fountain with old finished wood floors and lovely tin stamped ceiling. Fantastic soups and sandwiches — roasted veggie panini is my favorite. Wonderful milk shakes and malts as well as soft serve ice cream
