Johnny’s Bar & Steakhouse

I’ve been here many times due to their amazing martinis. The price isn’t bad and you get the whole shaker so its a pretty good deal. The food is usually good as well. I have never been disappointed with the steaks but occasionally the burgers come out overcooked. My main complaint is about the recent price hike. The wings used to be good for the price as they are exceptional however they now cost $ 12. I’m sorry, I don’t care how good the wings are but I’m not paying $ 1 per wing especially since just a few months ago I paid several dollars less for the platter. Very disappointed about this!

Garlic mashed potatoes… The best. This area doesn’t have a lot of nice options and this is by far where I’d choose to go every time. Great food and atmosphere

This is a great example of a great owner who is all over this place. Great food (in fact outstanding) great service, friendly well trained staff .
They cook the steak exactly the way you ask, the crab cakes are real, they dont have to quote some silly % of crab, you can taiste it and see it, excellant.
I am not wild about Johneys greeter, she is an older women and perhaps she is related because she is the only element that is simply off in attitude but dont let that discourage you the place is great.
If your local you will probably say its too expenive, if you a relocated resident it will soon be your favorite place .
Johnnys delivers on the quality as well as Kemo and the Deck, all great !

Compared to everything else in the Ephata/​Denver area this place is amazing.
Drinks were good, servers were nice, and my Prime Rib steak was cooked sufficiently.
Ambiance is a very nice «gangster» type of vibe.
Would definitely come again anytime I’m in the area and need a good restaurant.
Was fairly expensive but worth the money.

Food here was excellent. We went there last year for an anniversary dinner and I got the prime rib, which was one of the best I’d ever had. Very tender, not too fatty, and absolutely covered with rosemary. It looked like overkill on the herbs… But it was perfect when I tasted it. The restaurant was full, which would be expected in a quality restaurant on a Saturday evening, yet service was snappy and attentive.
Thanks to all the staff at Johnny’s for making our anniversary dinner great!

Random stop on a road trip. Was late in the evening. The service was excellent. Steak was prepared well. Overall nice experience!

Great service, prices are fair actually. But the Prime Rib is no good. This is the weirdest one I’ve had. They surely do not cook it for a long time and then tune to your final request. I will be back because other reviews look promising and the place is nice but I will NOT touch the Prime Rib…

We are here for my birthday and I have to say that the service and food are excellent. We finish a course and the next course appears. The food is excellent. Steaks with wonderful sauces, french onion soup, even the salad excelled. Our new favorite restaurant. Only wish it was closer to our house.

Great food, great service and a great bar!(Order a martini, they pour to please) Steaks are wonderful and I’ve never had to send one back because it wasn’t cooked to the temp I requested.
Might be a little on the expensive side, but it’s worth every penny!

Chocolate mint treats at end of meal same as money. Let me explain. My wife and I have eaten here on several occasions and most of the time it is very good. There were two times when my wife got bad seafood and since they have a no comp policy you are out of luck but at the end of the meal they gave us about 30 of the dinner mints and actually told us that should make up for the seafood. On another occasion our server was very slow due to the fact that she knew the people at the table behind us and talked to them way to much, I mentioned this to her since we couldn’t get drink refills and she apologized. When she brought the check she gave us at least 50 of the chocolate mints and said that for not getting our drinks. I wrapped them in a dollar bill and left them for a tip, I hope she got the meaning behind it. 3 stars because it is a little bit of a crap shoot what kind of dinner you will have but the odds are in your favor.

We love this place! They don’t take reservations on the weekend, so you are almost guaranteed a wait but it’s definitely worth it. There’s usually room to squeeze in at the bar — make sure you order a martini! They come in large shakers and equate to 2 – 3 drinks! Service is sometimes a bit slow, as they are almost always busy. The food is fantastic — steaks are juicy and flavorful, love the grilled shrimp skewer app with a yummy sauce, and if you have room for dessert — get one for the whole table to share. Even their hamburgers are to-​die for! This is definitely one of our favorite places.

One of my favorite restaurants. The food is consistently great! The service is always phenomenal. Be sure to get any if their martinis; it comes in a shaker and you’ll get at least 2 to 3 martinis out of it!

A guest told me this place had great steaks and she was right! From the top shelf margarita to the crock of onion soup and dinners, we had awesome food! The service was great too! We will be back and recommend to others!

First time to this restaurant. We waited about 30 minutes on a Sat night but enjoyed a drink at the bar. Good craft beer list draft and bottle. I had grilled fish, my wife had the meatloaf special and both were great. The atmosphere is great and it was an «adult place» for a date. The service was less than great and was the reason for the lost star.

Excellent food. Very expensive and we actually like the «sister» restaurant Kyma better… but this was a nice change. (Two brothers own the two restaurants side by side. Kyma is primarily seafood and my favorite restaurant in PA, and this is mostly steaks with some seafood.)
Waitress was a little unattentive and aloof, but not worth saying anything about. All the food was great. I recommend personally, the filet with the scallops. Filet came out perfect. Disappointed they ran out of asparagus. It was their only veggie and so there technically were no veggies as sides that evening.
Got peanut butter cheesecake to go. HUGE slice… very tasty.
I definately recommend this place but will stick to Kyma next door because it’s sooooooooooooooooo wonderful!

We tried Johnny’s for the first time today. Our server (Rae) was very friendly and knowledgeable, the atmosphere was cozy and it was
overall a very enjoyable experience.
I had the ribeye, which was cooked perfectly and just may have been the finest piece of beef that I have ever eaten. The asparagus with hollandaise was the perfect accompaniment.
All this and an above average craft beer selection, ensures that we will be back time and again.
I honestly don’t understand the review by Stacey S., I can’t believe that she was even at the same restaurant. She did however display her lack of class with her attack on the wait staff.

Possibly the finest dining experience I’ve had. Certainly the best in recent memory.
The blue point oysters were excellent. The ahi tuna was orgasmic. The server was exceptionally friendly and professional.
My only complaint is that the restaurant was a little chilly. But if you wear a sweater, the rest of your experience at Johnny’s Bar and Steakhouse will be a treat!

We love that there is a great place to go for a casual dinner or an excuse to celebrate something special or other… tucked away here in Lancaster county. Best martinis, by far. Josh, the bar tender, makes you feel at home and has some very creative drink offerings each week.
My husband always enjoys his steaks and I think he drools as we pull into the parking lot knowing it is the ribs he will be enjoying.
Great big bowls of salad if a lighter meal is your pleasure. The garlic mash is the best side, hands down.
Save room for a decadent dessert.
