Al’s Diner & Specialty Meats

Love coming here for breakfast. Their raspberry french toast is delicious. Pancakes are dinner plate size, so don’t order more than one unless you are really hungry. Your food is prepared per order (not made in advance and put in the micro to reheat). Good home cooking, so go for lunch too. Staff is super friendly. Be sure to say hi to Gail when you go up to the counter to pay, and don’t forget your Tootsie Pop!

It’s hard these days to find a little gem like Al’s. There were about 15 people eating here… For a staff of two, I was truly impressed! What a thospitable and friendly environment. You know those small towns where everyone knows and cares about everyone? That’s how it is here. The coffee was pristine and for one person working the grill and the other, the floor, fantastic food and service. The hostess/​waitress checked on us constantlyI ordered the waffles and my dad ordered the pancakes, they came out separate but that wasn’t too bad. They tasted great! And the prices are shockingly low for the quality AND quantity. I give four stars because some presentation could be better. no matter though. We’ll be coming back for sure!

The people at Al’s are super nice. The food is ‘meh.’ There were 20 people in the diner during our visit and the food came out plate by plate. It took five trips to the table over a 5-​minute period to feed the two of us. The omelet was a mess, but it came with an apology for patching it up with American cheese. Gravy with biscuits was lumpy, not creamy. The pancakes were the best breakfast item. We’d recommend those. Otherwise, try this place for lunch. Good burger menu.
