Small Moves and Delivery

What a great experience! Immediate and friendly communication. Upfront and fair pricing, online easy booking. They were available last minute before the snowstorm and were professional the whole way through as they picked up an elliptical from one town and delivered to my house on time as quoted. Don’t hesitate to book these guys!

It was obvious that the job requires not only physical ability but imagination the SMALL MOVES & DELIVERY LLC does not have. Some furniture arrived damaged when an unprotected bicycle was crammed into the container at the end. The movers unloading the track at the destination could not help but comment on the results of the SMALL MOVES & DELIVERY LLC. It took longer than expected because SMALL MOVES & DELIVERY LLC has been setting up the next job while billing the current one. They did not have the time to finish it and left in a hurry. I regret giving them a tip.

I knocked them down a little because I used the a second time and the owner came and had two workers with him – they didn’t speak any English and I had to ask them many times to be careful with my things. The couch (read about my first experience below) is big and tricky, but the owner was supposed to help the guys get it into my new place. He was nowhere to be found and the two guys did not understand what I was saying when I asked them to stop and to be careful. They broke a glass light in my apartment hallway, did quite a number on the door frame, and totally damaged my brand new couch. It has some big scratches all along the back. I was not pleased. Make sure the owner is around. He is a nice guy, but the other two just didnt care and they didn’t understand me at all. All they said was «ok mommy» to me…

I can’t say enough about Small Moves and Delivery! I purchased a very large couch and a media stand at a Marshall’s store in Alexandria, VA and they didn’t offer delivery and could only hold the item for me for 2 days. I didn’t have any friends with a truck and I looked at several places online and on craigslist before turning to Unilocal and finding this company. I called-​and it was late when I called like after 9pm – and Shakeim answered the phone and said he could do the job.
Shakeim met me with his truck out in Alexandria at the store, loaded it, picked up his friend and then moved it into my apartment. The loading dock closed at 9pm and it was 9:04pm when he arrived, but they were awesome and they brought it through the front door and were very careful to keep it clean and take care of getting it into the elevator and then into the doorway in my apartment. I was actually really worried it wouldn’t fit, but Shakeim and his friend were careful and after some planning made it work.
They were completely professional, courteous, well spoken, nice and polite. They did such a great job I have hired them for my move to my new apartment on May 1^st. I can’t say enough about them and I will suggest them to my friends or anyone I know that is moving or just needs something large delivered.
Also, the rate was great and totally fair. There were no gimmicks– it was fast and easy! They did it all in no time – you should call them!

This was, by far, my easiest and best moving service experience in my last few years of bouncing around from state to state and overseas. I was provided an immediate on-​site quote and was given the opportunity to schedule a move the SAME DAY.
No hassle and no haggling, just an awesome rate/​cost with quick and efficient service. No price changes the day off or following completion. Shakeim made sure I was taken care of and that I was satisfied with the moving services. I was even given the option to receive my Goodwill donation paperwork, following delivery.
