Very excited to find this store as it is near my office off Cascades Parkway in Sterling. It’s tucked next to a Subway, with a 7-Eleven directly across. The inventory is limited, as other reviewers said, but they had everything I wanted, particularly the BLUE label Simex lumpia wrappers — those are the ones with the wax paper between the wrappers(genius!). Best of all, however, they have a refrigerated section with goodies to go, including empanadas. They even sold a meat-filled pan de sal, which I’ve never seen before. After I made my purchases I saw a sign indicating they sold hot foods to go, including sisig, so I’ll have to come back and try it. Photos on my Flickr site:

The store is small, as was previously mentioned by other Unilocalers, but it’s clean and spacious inside. They don’t have too much of a selection, but they have the flip basics — Pan de Sal(Christine’s — WOO-HOO!!, and another brand) and Baliwag, Ensaymada, along w/soy sauces, pancit canton, noodles, mama sita’s seasonings, flip chip brands, frozen longanisa, and tocino, and a bit more with fair pricing. It’s the only flip store I’ve seen in Sterling and it’s run by the cutest, sweetest, tiniest little old couple. I encourage everyone to stop in and help support their business, especially from any local flips in the area.

To be honest, I didn’t make it past the front table where I immediately stopped and started drooling over the hopia mongo. I assumed they had a «you drool on it/you buy it» policy so I took my soggy hopia to the front counter and paid. The guy who rang me up pointed out that they don’t accept credit cards for anything less than $ 10. Sorry Uncle.

This market is very small and has just SE Asian basics. Don’t expect to find multiple brands of items as you would in larger markets. They do, however, sell some amazing pastries from Fritzie’s in NJ. The ensaymada’s were addictively awesome! The dough was soft, silky, and tender. The combo of the sweet dough, the texture of the ube with the creamy butter on top, the silkiness of the dough, and the savory touch of the cheese – sweet perfection! It wasn’t at all overly sweet. I wish I had gotten a box rather than just one. Surely the $ 2.99 price I paid for one is likely cheaper at the real deal shop, but I have zero issues with paying that price for the amazing deliciousness that I devoured! I can’t believe that I finished the whole huge thing in an evening: o! I’d strongly recommend popping in for the pastries, mmmm mmm!!! They’re very fresh too, surprisingly. Cash-only for purchases under $ 10.

Small store with minimum offerings. This place provides the essentials of Philippine imports for those Filipinos who live in the area but that is all. The prices are ridiculously high. I bought two bags of Growers peanuts and one bag of Clover chips and spent almost $ 9.00. The store is clean, well-maintained and painted with Manila scenes on the front window and in picture frames on the walls inside the store. That was the highlight of my visit. There is no hot food served here. Do not make a special trip to visit this place.
