***This is a decent Hudson News close to United’s regional gates; they have the standard Hudson News’ items(snacks, drinks, travel toiletries, souvenirs) and a surprisingly decent book selection; bottled water was reasonably priced though I wish they had greater variety beyond Dasani; it seems like Coca-Cola and Dasani are taking over most airport gift shops*** This airport gift shop is located past security so it is only open to air travelers. I am not sure what the parking situation is at IAD, but I imagine parking at this airport is expensive like other U.S. airports.

I spent a few months in Washington and never managed to pick up a trinket the whole dang time, so when I had a flight connecting through Dulles I made it a point to stop at one of the shops to grab something. This Hudson(on the receipt, it’s listed as Hudson Booksellers, store 629) has all the usual stuff you would expect — books, magazines, candies, sodas and assorted things you might need but forgot to bring, like a power outlet converter or a neck rest. Prices are in the medium high range, but I’m sure they pay a lot for the retail space.

Hudson News is my go-to whenever I have to fly out of Terminal A at Dulles International Airport. All the flying essentials are here: books, magazines, newspapers, bottled water, soda, snacks, and selected toiletries. I always stock up with two bottles of water to take on any flight — force of habit — and today was no different. Snagged two 20 oz. bottles of Dasani — and thank god they had it — a small bottle of Advil — I had a whopper of a head ache coming on — and I needed to nip it in the bud!
