Dollar Tree

Convenient location for me, plenty of parking, organized store-​found everything I needed to pack shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child!

While I love dollar tree this one was little disappointing. There was a coupon for 55 cents off bread ON THE BREAD the cashier only entered the coupon for 50 cents I then asked him wasn’t the coupon for 55 cents? Yes, he said and showed it to me again yet in the register he only entered 50 cents. After the one customer in front of me took FOREVER to pay and had them ring up two separate orders I didn’t have the time or patience to deal with the cashier or hold the line up any further for 5 cents. I’ll keep going to dollar tree, just not this one.

This store has a large selection of greeting cards which is nice and a good selection of ready to fill helium balloons too. But one of the ladies that works there, a young Caucasian brunette with a short pony tail, is rude and needs to go back to customer service school. No one was available at the balloon counter and the way the counter is positioned, it’s hard to get a good look at what’s available. So I stepped a little behind the counter and then she appears like rat out of the sewer and snipes at me to move back. No amount of ‘I’m sorry’ or ‘thank you very much’ could get that female dog to change her sour face. I ordered several balloons for a cheap price so that was good but I’m not sure if it was worth encountering that ugly sea creature that works there.

This store is as organized as a dollar store can be.
Dollar tree is a reputable dollar store with many random items.
Great selection of things you may never need as well as some very useful everyday items.
I like to buy gift packaging here and random snacks.

Great store, what you expect from a dollar store. I bought wine glasses, Christmas stockings, novelty socks, a cat scratcher. Got exactly what I needed with a smile from the workers. I think I spent $ 20 total.

What I like about these guys…
I can buy gifty supplies (for any occasion) for $ 1 vs $ 5+ for the same exact thing at Hallmark/​Target/​CVS/​Etc — even Walmart! (cards, bags, tissue paper, bows, plates, kids parties, napkins etc)
I can buy a stupid thing like a can opener that’s actually a good one (not the old metal on metal and breaks after 2 uses kind or that your rents had in the 70’s along with the harvest gold electric one) for $ 1 — cause I can’t find mine and it was a Pampered Chef one!
I can buy a toothbrush — Oral B for $ 1 vs $ 4 – 5 for the same thing at (see places above). (oh and Crest Pro Health plus other varieties/​brands for you guessed it exactly $ 1) (except the 6mo trip to the dentist — but that is not really free — although appreciated)
Some stuff I’d be leary of, but for the real basics — $ 1 is a good deal — and they mean $ 1 (no sneak attacks on the dollar theme).
Plus the folks that are there the 3 times I’ve been in — and all different staff — have been super friendly and helpful — it does get a little crazy at times — cause I think although I’m the first to review this gem — they are keeping it a secret! Why? Because — it’s really 1 buck!
