The food is great! It’s not too oily and not too salty! Overall, a great buffet. The food is good quality and not something cheap. The husband and wife owners are very hard working. Just went today(04/15/2011) with my family and dinner and it was $ 9.99 a person. We really enjoyed it!

I’m so disappointed. At one point, this location used to be a pretty decent buffet by the name of Golden King. When it closed, I thought that was the last time I’d see a Chinese buffet in the Herndon/Sterling area. So when I drove by recently and saw that there was a new restaurant open, I decided I had to try. Unfortunately what occurred was perhaps the biggest culinary disappointment I’ve ever experienced. For $ 12, I got to eat a large variety of different Asian cuisines, but every item was terrible quality. The sushi tasted bland and rubbery… clear signs of fish that wasn’t fresh enough. The dimsum dishes were overcooked and flavorless. And the typical Chinese dishes such as fried rice, lo mein, chicken, dumplings, and various seafood items were all incredibly plain. To put it all in one word… blecch. The best part of my meal was my soda. As much as I hate to judge restaurants by a one time impression, it’s going to be tough for me to bring myself to go back and try this place again to see if anything is different.

I went here durning lunchtime and found it to be more quantity than quality in regards to the food. Service was below average.

I’m happy to see a decent chinese buffet in the Reston/Sterling area. Lots of typical chinese american dishes but a few authentic chinese dishes as well. I like the shu mai dumplings, mini joong, and the green vegetables. The place is nice and clean too.

Welcome back Mr. Chinese Buffet =). I was wonder what was going to open up in the place Golden King use to be. Well now I know. I finally decided to go try this place out. The inside looks cleaner and updated. I was taken to my seat and asked what I wanted to drink. I was off. The first thing I noticed was the food selection. There seemed to be less dishes than Golden King offered. There actually isn’t anything wrong with that. Then the Mongolian bar was gone. Now they have sushi. The sushi side isn’t anything to brag about. They had few choices and the pieces were very small. I mostly stuck with the hot food side. I tried most of the typical things you find. Egg rolls, chicken dishes, beef dishes, and so on. All pretty bland and nothing great. They also have steam crab legs and clams in black clam sauces. I spent most of my time here. The crab legs were o.k., but the clams in black bean sauce was the better. They also have four soups I think. I tried the hot and sour soup. Nothing special here, it was pretty bland. I then went for the wonton soup. There was plenty of broth but no wontons. Oh well. I’ll move on. I did decide to try the broth. The broth was good, not watered down at all. Nice flavor. Too bad I couldn’t try the wontons. Maybe next time. The wait staff was nice. They came by every once in a while to take my dirty plates and fill my water. Well I’m glad I now have a buffet place to visit when I’m in Sterling. Not the best, but just having clams and black bean sauce is good enough for me. Everything else is pretty basic. It’s your typical American Chinese style food.

We found this place after reading reviews on local buffets. We have been to alot of Asian buffets and this one was in the top 5(Houston is top dog!). I can always tell if I will like the food if the Hot and Sour soup is delish. The Hot and Sour Soup got a «thumbs up» from me! I liked the variety on the buffet. There was something for everyone. Although some the food was on the dry side, at least the food had flavor. Most buffets we go to the food looks fantastic, but it has zero flavor. We will definately be back for more.

We made it to IAD on fumes and with our last few dollars. Fortunately we had $ 12.55 after tax per person(drinks not included) for dinner. We eat at Asian buffets(Asian as an adjective, as far as we know this place is not a chain) nationwide and this one had many items we don’t usually find at places this inexpensive: two sizes of steamed clams; oysters on the half-shell; crab legs; steak; sushi including rainbow and California, 4 soups. We were glad to find it.

We stopped by here after shopping in the morning at the Leesburg outlets on our way home. The food was okay. The sushi was fishy, which is weird because it was a California roll and they normally don’t have real seafood in it. Their kimchi was off, but I should have known since this isn’t a Korean place. The chicken with black pepper was yummy and the General Tso’s is pretty standard. Their green beans were delish and not overcooked or over salted. Their fried rice was a little hard, but it could’ve been sitting under the heat for awhile. I liked the tapioca dessert but the soft serve ice cream was heavy on ice. Drinks are charged separate. Service was friendly and overall it was an okay buffet experience.
