I worked with Scott Shelton from Academy Mortgage. Scott and his team were outstanding! I have owned 4 homes and refinanced my loans several times over the time I’ve been a homeowner. That means, I’ve had enough experience with lenders and the closing process to know that my experience with Scott was incredible. First, Scott is just a really friendly, respectful, and nice guy. Second, he worked really, really hard for me — he worked weekend, holidays, and early mornings so that we could get what we needed in this seller’s market to buy our house. Third, Scott was willing to work with us to find us a product that made sense. Fourth, and I can’t say this enough time, I don’t know how he did it, he and his team must have worked really hard, but we got our loan and closed in record time and he handled hiccups gracefully under pressure and always worked things out for us in our favor. Finally, anyone who goes through a closing and home purchase process knows how stressful it can be — Scott made it relatively stressful. Their customer service and follow-​through was outstanding. They worked with the insurer, title company, and realtor had made everything happen smoothly. Thank you, Scott!
