Walmart

Your standard Wal Mart. They seem to be doing some renovating right now and just added in a fresh produce section. There is self check out and I usually don’t have a problem with lack of cashier lines being open.

This is the place to be on a Friday night! I come here about 8 times a week. Me and all my pals call it «Wallies» ha ha. I film most of my world class YouTube videos here. It’s a great family friendly atmosphere. The store is extremely big. About 6 miles by 6 miles. I get lost pretty frequently but there’s always a friendly college graduate employee there to help me find my way. Sadly I have to give this Wallies a ²⁄₅ rating because they were out of Mountain Dew and Doritos last time I visited. Which is completely unacceptable. But I digress. For the most part this place never ceases to amaze me. From the games, to the wonderful employees, to the exquisite amount of things they sell. I will forever be loyal to Wallies. One day I hope to get a job here, if I do well enough at Macomb University, of course. Cheers.

This walmart is a blah blah blah blah. I hate the fact it isn’t a super walmart! It is in a convenient location but given the fact it is, at least make it a super walmart so you don’t have to go to another store for groceries.

I hadn’t visited this Wal-​Mart since they built the one on Maple in Troy (yep, that tells you how long it’s been) but this location was the only one that had in stock the inkjet printer I was on a mission for. I paid for it online and then drove thirteen miles over there.
I wish it was a little more clear in the Customer Service area that it was NOT the spot for any Ship to Store pickups, but it was late on a Sunday and so I didn’t have to stand in line only to be told that the place I needed was in the back of the store, BEHIND Electronics, next to the bathrooms. There indeed was a little counter where you could pick up online purchases.
As it was (again) late on a Sunday, and picking up Ship to Store purchases probably isn’t worth having a full-​time staffer on any given day, but there was a sign clearly stating I just needed to tap the touch screen (where you would normally swipe your credit card) and an associate would be with me momentarily. I would say I probably waited a couple of minutes, and then was helped promptly. It would have been nice if I’d been offered a cart or burly associate to help carry my purchase, but then again, I didn’t ask either.
The store itself was clean, although as I lugged my heavy printer back up to the front of the store, the organization and setup seemed a little puzzling. All-​in-​all, though, I was pleased with the customer service I received and would visit it again if I needed to.
