Torrid

I love this store. They are always so helpful and even take your things to a fitting room when they notice you’re holding a lot. They are also good about making sure you get the right things for the coupons. I have never come here and had anything less than an amazing shopping experience. Plus, they have great dressing rooms!

Located on the 2^nd floor of the mall, this Torrid reminds me of the one in Great Lakes Crossing. It has a very similar floor plan & a variety of modern, plus sized fashions. Not your regular frumpy, polka dot covered moo-​moos. The staff is approachable & helpful (If you are fashion challenged as I am sometimes, you know how important it is to have helpful staff). You can find dresses, shoes up to size 12 (they are really cute & fashionable even in big sizes. YES!!!). They have dressing rooms available & lingerie too.
It is nice that there is a store that caters to plus size younger women. Although there are only 2 in MI: this one & Great Lakes, it is usually worth the drive. I suggest checking out the website first & calling ahead to see if they have what you are looking for specifically if you don’t live in the area (I had to drive 45 mins. to get there & was disappointed when they didn’t have the shoe I was looking for, even though she said they would hold it when I called. That was the 1 bummer in this experience) Best place to go for fishnet tights, cute tops, & dresses to party in.
Note: Torrid is not a cheap store. Jeans run you from $ 38-​$ 98 (But you can find amazingly comfortable skinny jeans by Source of Wisdom there).
