Image Sun and I got off to a rocky start, with them refusing to accept my Living Social voucher via the iPhone app(and instead requiring a piece of paper, which meant I had to go home, print it out, and come back). If those are your rules, fine, but MAKESURETHEYARELISTEDASSUCHONTHEVOUCHER. As opposed to the other place I’ve tanned recently( ), there was a short form to fill out with basic info(address, phone, email) and some questions on skin type. That said, the girl didn’t suggest or tell me anything based on my answers, so why bother asking about any of that? She also let me go the full time limit on the bed(10 min) whereas they usually limit you to a fraction of the time if it’s your first visit(but I certainly wasn’t complaining). And once I got to the actual tanning? Niiiiiiice. The deal was unlimited tanning for any bed for a month, so of course I chose the best bed. And it was really quite nice(I never splurge on the best bed, so this was an excellent treat). To start, you get seven – SEVEN! – minutes before the time starts. The most I’ve ever seen has been four and it’s generally three so seven was heaven! There is a nice mirror with a shelf and three double hooks underneath and a chair in the corner. The bed itself was neat, too – the control panel looks like it could launch a shuttle(ironic, since the bed itself looks to be modeled after a shuttle). There are controls to power the top up and down, turn the fan up and down, a working countdown timer(YAY!), and other buttons I am clueless about(but are probably for when it’s hooked up for home use). The padded headrest was nice, the bed was extra wide so it was really comfy, and it didn’t feel like the top was right on my face. The 10 minutes flew by and I could have stayed longer. As with other places I have tanned before, you get a hand towel for after – and surprisingly there was a misting/hydrating lotion on the shelf for your use as well. So overall I was quite happy with my experience, save the initial issue with the voucher. Before tanning, I was seriously only planning on using my month coupon and quitting… but some of the deals are pretty good, so who knows… they might convert me to a real customer. Edited to add: They will REALLY try to upsell the lotions, even after saying you’re not interested. I think she told me about the lotions about four times. I know they have to do it, but once I say no, I don’t want to hear about it again.

I love Image Sun tanning centers! The staff is always very helpful and friendly and can help you with anything from picking on what bed to use, to what kind of lotion to use, and how to keep your tan as long as possible. The rooms a very reasonable in side, include a chair, promotions(when they are going on), and after tanning spray(very helpful). Every time I have gone the salon has been nice and clean, never dirty, their beds are sanitized, bulbs are bright and not burned out, and the whole salon and rooms very clean too.
