Sterling Heights, MI
Gus Zoppi Music Center has been a staple of the Troy/​Sterling Heights area forever. A nice mom-​and-​pop music store located in a strip mall on the south-​east corner of the intersection of Dequindre and 17 Mile Road.
A great place to get your strings, picks, method book and accessories… but I have never bought an instrument from them. They mainly with deal Fender guitars and do not really boast a huge selection. Their main clientele comes from their private lesson students.
The bread-​and-​butter of Zoppi is in their private lessons. Just about everyone who grows up in the area takes lessons from an instructor at Zoppi’s at some point in their life.
