Great salon! Electric Beach has great deals and they change their bulbs frequently so I seem to spend HALF as long in the bed as I do at other places and end up with better results. The place is very clean and the staff are always friendly and professional! I love this place and wouldn’t go anywhere else

I’ve been a long time member of Electric Beach Tan. Up until this week, I would have given them 5 stars, just for the customer service alone. The beds haven’t been my favorite, but I still choose to go here over the competition. Their prices are higher than anywhere else around, but again, I still choose to go here. Weeks ago, I paid for my tanning far in advance. Days later, a man(the new owner, though he did not tell me at the time that the salon was under new ownership) told me that they would be remodeling for a week and that they would add the week missed onto my account. That sucks, but at least they were going to take care of me. A week of remodeling turned into 13 days of remodeling. I lost a lot of my tan that I spent months working on, which was already frustrating enough. I went in today to start tanning again(they just reopened today) and the new owner told me that I would need to pay for my tanning service… AGAIN! He was very friendly and outgoing… until I told him that I had already paid for my tanning. He offered me percentages off, but would not honor the time that I had already paid for. Percentages off are great, but that’s still making me pay twice for something I’ve already paid for! I pulled up bank receipts from my cell phone so that he could see the date and amount for which I paid and he just did not care. His response was«If you want to hold me accountable for something you paid the old owner for, then okay.» I refused to pay again for a service I’ve already paid for, so now I’m just out the $ 80 I had paid three weeks ago. I understand that there is new ownership, but when you purchase a business, you also purchase the customer’s business. A part of that is keeping a good relationship. In my shoes, I think anyone would expect the business to honor the agreement made, regardless of an ownership change. I was visibly upset, but the new owner did not do anything other than offer me a «percentage off». The customer service of the new ownership is beyond sub par and I will never, ever return to this salon.

There are a lot of tanning salon near my house but I drive the extra couple of miles to Electric beach! Not only are their bulbs always new but they are the cleanest salon I’ve been to and I’ve been to some foul places! best prices, family owned great staff! Highly recommend!

Great Tanning Salon! Clean, friendly staff and wide selection of lotions to choose from. Also new products such as cute purses, hats and bracelets, etc. Spray tanning as well. Electric Beach always changes their bulbs so we get the deepest tan as possible. Prices are competitive and if i had to choose a salon in Sterling Hts to tan, i would choose Electric Beach!
