Traveling to Bend from Salem. I missed the exit for the first restaurant Unilocal recommended so we pushed on to find this GEM of a café. It’s small… just a few tables so you might think it’s just a shop, at least we did at first glance. But we were hungry and decided to give it a try. Their hours are only 11:00 — 2:00 and we were handed a lunch menu. We had wanted breakfast but the cook said she’d be happy to make us some eggs and bacon with toast. She tossed in some delicious country potatoes and fruit too! The coffee was fresh and delicious! Service was exceptional. Felt almost like family. So much I almost offered to help with dishes ;-) We were even given some coconut cake(«the first piece is free») It was a wonderful start to the last leg of our trip. It was one of the best experiences we’ve had during our travels over the years.

Wow… One of the best breakfast ever at Trexler’s new Mill City location. The in-laws and I really enjoyed the pancakes, awesome flavorful, hash browns(best ever really), and French Toast. They treat you like family with awesome, small town, warm hospitality. Fabulous meal for a fair price… Can’t be beat. Well be back!

Food: Three stars. This is a soup, salad and sandwich shop that is open only on weekdays for lunch. The fare, for the most part, seems to come from a large warehouse store located twenty-five miles to the west on Highway 22. It’s not bad but neither is it particularly good and, despite the café’s name, the food is not farm-fresh. Drinks: See Food. Service: Three stars. Ambience: Three stars for the clean but average diner interior. Noise Level: Three stars for whiny country music, but it is played at a low volume, so patrons can converse at normal conversational levels. Price: Average. Summary: Sad to say, this is about as good as restaurant food gets between Salem and Bend.

What a delight. The food was delicious. The service fantastic and delightful to chat with the owner. In addition the décor is intriguing — a small low to the ground antique wood stove that came out of a sailboat and a pull down school room map as a window shade. Locally roasted coffee, fresh baked bread as well as local honey and herbal tea in the summer. What could be better than all that. I will definitely be back!

I have lunch meetings regularly and can say that Trexler Farms is now one of my favorites! Not only are Sharlene and her staff incredible hosts, but the food is incredible. I had the Greek Chicken Salad that was without a doubt one of the best salads I have tasted. The chicken was marinated and the onions must have been as well. It was both delicious and nutritious. Thank you Trexler Farms for an excellent dining experience! I will be back!

Love the eclectic feel of Trexler Farm Café. The Boat Room is full of wonderful antiques that fill your eyes with excitement, as your mouth and tongue become overjoyed with the wonderful flavors of Sharlene’s delicious food. The history of the building and how it has turned into this very quaint little café is an amazing story that she likes to share, just ask. The food is outstanding.

Sharlene at Trexler Farms is a first class host. If their food was any fresher you would pick it yourself. Because their hours are limited, you really should call first if you’re passing through, but don’t pass by, stop and take in the great food, service and ambience.

The customer service in this farm store café sets the business apart from all the rest. Sharlene knows every customer by name; all are welcomed & the atmosphere is truly delightful. I have eaten here probably 50+ times and I can honestly say I have never, ever had a bad meal. The food is always fresh, healthy, great quality, and simply delicious. I love the mixture of fresh veggies and fresh fruit in her salads.

So very wonderful and the staff were great! The food was really great and the tiny chedder bacon biscuits with sausage gravy were devine!

5 stars because it is the best place I have eaten so far within a 20 mi radius. Sadly the hrs are limited. Very fresh ingredients and great if you like vegetables!
