Don’t let the old gas station fool you this place is the bomb. Good food good prices good portion. Overall good maybe even great if it wasn’t cramped it would be 5 stars for sure. The sushi is good to it’s not high end but it’s not high end priced. I mean get real it’s gas station sushi right… just kidding. Seriously it’s a good place to eat

Great food for a converted gas station. Doesn’t look like much, but it’s one of the few restaurants my whole family likes. Love the California rolls.

I always order to go. The food is amazing. We jokingly call the place gas station teriyaki. I usually get 2 meals out of 1 order.

Amazing food and great prices! Good portions, fresh ingredients, and friendly service. The sushi was great, best option nearby for a good sushi roll. We had the chicken bento, sweet & sour chicken, side salad, potstickers, spring rolls, Dallas sushi roll, and California roll. All of it was awesome and we will go back to try more of the menu!

This unassuming little restaurant located in a retooled gas station has quickly become a «must visit» during my infrequent trips to Stayton. The food tastes very fresh, is very filling, easy on the wallet, and the service is super friendly!

Mashita is delicious, don’t let the look of the place turn you away. I love the teriyaki chicken– although I always have to add more sauce because I’m teriyaki-crazy. The employees are all very friendly. My only complaint would be that I wish they would stay open maybe an hour later. There have been multiple occasions where I really wanted to eat here but couldn’t make it before 8.

Mashita was a staple when we were lucky enough to have off-campus lunch and on summer afternoons. It wasn’t until I was trying to find a substitute in my new city(Boise) did I learn that Mashita is a chain — which really surprised me. We all know this location is weird, but Stayton has a habit of rehabilitating old gas stations into successful businesses. It tends to run a little on the dirty side, which is usually why I grab my food to go. I’m a creature of habit, and I’ve always ordered the same thing here: Beef yakisoba with no veggies. The noodles are perfectly cooked, the beef tender, and the sauce — perfectly saucy!(Tip — to-go orders tend to be a little saucier, which I prefer.) I’ve never had it, but I hear the sushi is good!

I read the other reviews and it made me curious… from the outside I would never come here but I read so many good things and I’m glad I tried it. The girls working were very helpful. The beef teriyaki is amazing. I wasn’t brave enough to try the sushi but I will be more adventurous the next time. The dragon roll looked pretty good. I got the sweet and sour chicken. Which was a generous portion plus the rice and salad. It was pretty filling. If you are in the area or driving through, it’s worth a stop!

Don’t judge a book by its cover this place has ALWAYS been delicious! Healthy, freshly made, affordable and I have never had bad service! They will do call ahead orders to take home too! Yeah. its in a converted gas station but I would rather have good quality food than a fancy building. Good teriyaki is hard to find. It is a must-try if you come to our little town! My husband loves the #19, I myself go for the #5 :)

What a wonderful surprise to find delicious, healthy, high-quality, beautifully-made food in this small town. I had not stopped in before due to the first impression of the building; however, we should never judge a book by its cover, right? The people were welcoming and friendly; the chefs are talented. The ambiance inside was cute & comfortable. Most importantly, the food was perfectly delicious. I can’t wait to go back next week!

Good food but not the best ambience! The restaurant is in a converted gas station. Worth going for the food but I would choose take out next time! I had the tofu, very good! Veggie rolls were good too! I would go back again. Decent prices.

One of our favorite restaurants in Stayton. We almost always both have Teriyaki Chicken/Beef with Yakisoba Noodles. Sometimes with rice, sometimes half rice/half noodles. They are very open to custom orders. The food is very tasty and you get a huge portion for a low price. The staff is friendly and fast. Don’t let the building scare you away(remodeled gas station). The food is worth it!

The food is wonderful, filing and tasty. Their teriyaki has a great flavor. They have other locations that are just as good. I would have given it a 5 star but I gave it one mark down for the building. It’s a remodeled gas station, so it’s gets a little cold inside in the winter.
