Used to be better years ago but now the food seems frozen to table and its a bit dingy inside. Our food was cold and barely edible.

Went here on a Monday night with a friend and we had to wait a really long time for our entrees to come. Once they arrived I was not satisfied with my bourbon salmon. The sauce was really thick and sweet like syrup. Idk if it was just a bad night but I was not satisfied with my food.

Stopped in on the recommendation of a friend. Got the free Unilocal appetizer without problem. Roxie was a great waitperson – friendly and helpful. I had the tenderloin tips which was a good combo of flavors. Would definitely come again.

My husband and I stopped here after a long day of traveling. It was located right off the highway with ample parking. The steak we had was delicious ! Cooked perfectly, seasoned with just the right amount of salt and peppery. Also they had asparagus for a veggie cooked aldente with butter and garlic! Everything was excellent !

We dined here for a family birthday gathering, the waitress initially tried to seat us in a booth with a compiling of trash and silverware underneath, we opted for the neighboring booth and because of this I think she became perturbed as she was rude the entire service, until it came time to tip her. She for whatever reason didn’t want to retrieve a drink list for us and every time we ordered something extra, she kept saying, «you know theres going to be an extra charge for that» and this became very annoying. The birthday dessert was all wrong and the food was mediocre at best. No wonder the place was empty. If I am spending an easy $ 100 at this place I expect more. Not to mention that even after we pointed out the trash, food, and silverware under the table no one bothered to clean it up. Won’t be back!

Stopped in for dinner with family and friends party of six about 5pm on a Saturday night and walked right in without a wait. Found the place was a little out dated but found it to be OK. We found the place was clean and the Service was good and on point. Food was tasty however one of our steaks was over cooked a little and the kids Mac and cheese not real good, soggy and lacked taste. Both of the kids eat very little of it. Portion sizes was good. All and all we had a overall OK experience at the place. Yes we would stop again but would not let the kids order the Mac and cheese next time. Staff was friendly, but some of them was on their cells a lot.

Great food and service as usual. The Marshal Dillan marinated steak was great. It was cooked just like I asked. The parking lot was full but we walked and were seated with no wait. Our server took great care of us even as busy as they were. We will definitely be back.

One of the worst steaks I have ever had. Thr meat is mostly fat, there is no seasoning on the meat and the cook obviously doesn’t know how to prepare Pittsburgh style. The service was friendly when the waitress was at my table, but that wasn’t very often. The free bread, ironically, was the best part of the meal. Save yourself and eat somewhere else!

Quick lunch advertised on sign. Lie. We were there 45 min before food came. Seasonal Fruit = canned mandarins, canned pineapple, 3 slivers of unripe strawberry. And it’s strawberry season! Lie. My favorite is the waitress is unapologetic. States that is what you get no matter what time of year. I did ask before ordering what season fruit meant. She stated, oranges, pineapple, strawberries. Fresh tomato on the burger? Not here… and we are in tomato season! Geesh! Clean? Nope! Your shoes slide across floor. Oh and the flies… yea…that Go to Mrs Rowes(packed and I mean packed at lunch hour! No joke) or Cracker Barrel which is right next door.

Ok, this restaurant has obviously taken great pains to improve their service & performance. My dh & I are very happy with each meal we have gotten here, in recent months. Definitely feel confident in coming here in 2015, because they are doing great with the food preparation & the service! But they have taken a fav off their menu, their chicken-fried-chicken. Really? Main reason we went there, because you can’t find that southern dish this far north, very often. Bummed!

Pros: One of the few restaurants located in this area that’s open past 9:00pm on the weekend. Offers Active Military/Retired Discount Cons: Slow service, unfriendly staff, dirty, poor food quality, bad flavor My wife and I found a hotel in the area, one of the last hotels available last minute on 23 May(Memorial Day Weekend). We arrived in the area around 8:30pm and was told by our hotel that most restaurants in the area were closing, but the McDonalds and Texas Steakhouse should still be open. My wife and I decided to go here. We arrived to an open parking lot. The outside is fairly average for a chain. We weren’t immediately greeted when we walked in the door. The restaurant was for the most part empty other than an area where it seemed to be placing all the late comers, despite them they weren’t closing until 11:00pm. We were finally greeted. We requested a booth, but the only one they were willing to sit us at was still dirty and cluttered from the previous guests. It took a while for our server to take our drink order, and just as long for us to receive our drinks despite it being empty. We ordered our food when our drinks arrived. We noticed other tables and areas were dirty(possibly from finishing a dinner rush). We also witnessed while waiting, other customers were sending food items back and overheard waitresses removing items from the checks. Our food was delivered by another server and they quickly walked away. We were immediately dissatisfied. I ordered a steak which was well above what I asked the server for, and the quality of meat was horrible with a majority of the steak being fat. My wife ordered a small steak and side of ribs. The steak was dry and overdone and the ribs were completely salty and dry. We both ordered parmesan potatoes, which came out burnt, dry, and the cheese was crusty and almost seemed old. The mac and cheese was soggy and had a bad flavor. We finally saw our server again as she dropped off the check, I didn’t bother complaining as I knew it wouldn’t have done any good. Overall, I would not recommend dining here. I would have rather ate at the McDonalds in the gas station down the street over this Texas Steakhouse. I’m not a huge fan of chain restaurants for this exact experience and this one was probably by far the worst I’ve had in a long time.

We went in late just before closing. I ordered a Malibu bay breeze and the first tell me they don’t have Malibu rum. I ask if they have any other coconut rum and they did. They charged me $ 1.50 extra per drink since it was Cruzon rum. Plus the waitress stated we could have soup as a side however she neglected to tell us it was $ 1 extra to do soup. The taste was great and the fried onion app was so good. Would recommend but double check everything since they nickel and dime you and neglect to tell their customers about the added charges.

My wife and I ate here while traveling north on I-81. It’s an easy off/on. The food is average. I had the crab cake, grilled shrimp dish. The tiny shrimp were on wooden skewers. They were grilled properly and not too dry. The crab cake was mostly filler and very average, but, as my wife tells me, you don’t order seafood in a steakhouse. My wife had the«Taste of Texas» platter which she thoroughly enjoyed. Our waiter, Frank, was a hoot. Great personality and very helpful. When asked what they had on tap, he produced a large listing of draught beers. I had the 2 Oats McGoat which made the meal. We will be stopping back the next time we are in the area.

This is my favorite restaurant for steaks and I live in Waynesboro where there are plenty of options. It is the only place that actually cooks your steak the way you ordered it. We have fancier restaurants in the area, but I’ll stick with the tried and true Texas Steakhouse.

My wife and I ate here with our newborn for dinner on a slow Monday evening. Some of the food was average and some was not very good at all. Our last trip to this restaurant was poor due to all of the food being prepared incorrectly and a very rude manager. This trip was uneventful from a service perspective but it’s what followed that prompted me to write this review. A few hours after dinner both my wife and I became very ill with food poisoning(and a couple hours after that our newborn did as well since my wife fed her). My wife is a vegetarian and I love meat so it is very easy to isolate what got us sick. We did not eat any of the same foods earlier in the day so we got sick from either the bread/butter, the chips and queso, or the strawberry shortcake we had for dessert. Needless to say after consecutive poor experiences at this establishment we will not be returning and will let everybody we know about our experience. DINERSBEWARE!

I stopped here on a whim coming home from TN. You get a basket of rolls which were really tasty: slightly sweet, doughy, warm, buttery and yeasty. I don’t even know if yeasty is a word but I’m using it anyway. I ordered the salmon over salad and my friend got the grilled chicken w a sweet potato. It’s hard to give this place a fair assessment since we ordered such simple things. Nothing to write home about but all in all not a bad experience.

It’s pretty low-end steak stuff — ribs, steaks, potatoes, etc. The rolls are GREAT. The cocktails are so-so, my ribs were decent, but nothing super great. There seemed to be some confusion going on when I went today — who’s seating who, who should go into which waiter’s area, etc. There was barely anyone there — maybe 5 or 6 tables total — but service still seemed a little slow — not terrible, just seemed to take a while considering how few people were there. If you’re hungry, and not in a super hurry, then you’ll probably enjoy it as a mid-level little steak house.

I loved it! I had the Surf & Turf. My steak was tender, delicious and just the right size. My Crab Cake was awesome with some rally tasty sauce. The asparagus was great. The short cake was a great rationalization because these guys donate $ 1.00 to Wounded Warrior. Nice touch. Tymber gave great service!

Yep, no improvement. I only came here because it was a team night(most of my National Guard section settled on this place). Somehow I had blocked out on my last review of the place. Bland food, bad drinks(the Margarita was cheap, but for a reason… Blended drinks shouldn’t have chunks bigger than my fingernails). With so many better options just a short drive away it’s a shame to come here.
