There are a lot of cool things here you won’t see in a regular retail place. They have beautiful dresses, artwork, odd items. And it’s more than a store. The owners are involved with the community. Sometimes you can catch musicians playing live inside!

I had a totally different experience than the other reviewer. My boyfriend and I were just visiting Staunton for the day and stopped into this store because it was so charming and welcoming from the outside looking in. The walls are beautifully decorated and everywhere you look there are great crafted items, many locally made, all made within the USA. The owner was so friendly and happy to answer all of our questions, even though we ultimately didn’t end up buying anything. We learned a little bit of the back story about she and her husband as new small business owners(as my boyfriend and I are, too) and it seems that the community has been supportive. We especially loved the detail taken with things like building their fitting rooms out of old pallet wood — such a rustic, eclectic, clean and funky vibe in this place! Check it out!

I struggled with the rating to give this place. On the one hand, it is a great store with unique items, tastefully(well, my taste) decorated, and had some really cool wares for sale. One the other hand, the service sucked. And by sucked I mean we weren’t greeted or asked if there was anything to help with or even acknowledged as humans. And it’s not that the store was super busy and the clerk missed us, she was standing behind the counter with some dude, obviously not a customer, looking at her computer. What the hell is it with these hipster type places where rude is the new friendly? Small batch is wonderful and local and handmade is on the right track, but it doesn’t make an establishment or person elite. So I’m going to give the store the benefit of the doubt and give three stars because of the great selection and for not being an Urban Outfitters or other chain store. Honestly, though, I doubt I’ll be back. If they don’t need my money, then I don’t need their stuff.
