Absolutely amazing!!! Best breakfast I’ve ever had in my life! The owners are so friendly and really make you feel like you’re at home. The room we stayed in had so much space, and it was really nice having the fireplace since it rained the whole weekend. I loved having the option of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, soda, or water, all right in our room. I will most definitely be coming back again!

We almost never use , but on a recent trip passing through the Shenandoah Valley we checked for rooms available in Staunton, VA. We were delighted to find a B&B listed. We booked immediately, since only one room remained. After staying at the Inn at Old Virginia, we completely understand their popularity. We were greeted by Deana, who was wonderfully welcoming, despite our 6:30 pm arrival(later than some B&Bs will accept). She not only showed us the main house and breakfast room, but walked us to our room in «The Barn» and showed us the amenities there. The Barn is named whimsically, because it is an absolutely lovely guesthouse, where most of the Inn’s guest rooms are located. We relaxed, slept wonderfully, and arrived at breakfast early the next morning — since we needed to depart early for the rest of our journey. Deana was there for breakfast, too, as was Eve, the owner of Inn at Old Virginia. Eve was as welcoming and wonderful as Deana. We chatted over breakfast. The French toast was wonderfully prepared(by Eve’s son!) and service couldn’t have been more gracious. Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer. Alas, only one night was possible this trip. We’ll be back! Given this review, why four stars instead of five? We had problems with a faucet in the shower(Room 222). As much water poured from the faucet as it did from the shower head, reducing the shower’s strength significantly. Maintenance issues bedevil every inn or hotel. Given the quality of the Inn at Old Virginia and the commitment of the owner and staff, confident this was corrected immediately upon receiving the comment card following our stay. Don’t miss this«hidden gem,» as another reviewer called Inn at Old Virginia. We look forward to going back when schedules allow a longer stay!
