This is an unbelievable restaurant, the quality of which we have never seen in Statesboro Georgia. The seafood is fresh, clean, sweet, and succulents. The service is always above average and the staff is more than happy to allow tasting of sauces and sometimes even tiny portions of specialty items. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys high quality seafood. At first glance, prices may seem a bit above average for the area, But they are absolutely perfect for the large portions of wonderful seafood. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Had the shrimp and crawfish in Cajun sauce. Wow! Great flavor, nice amount of heat and good amount of food for the price. Being my first time I ordered extra sides not knowing it came with corn, kielbasa and potatoes. Had the menu been more clear I would have added the extra star. Hope the rest of the menu is just as tasty.

Excellent seafood and friendly, efficient service at a very reasonable price. Sweet tea is mighty fine as are the crab cakes, fried fish & shrimp. Sweet potato fries aren’t bad either. I’ll be back.

Pricey but worth every dollar. This place does seafood right! The seasoning and flavour is spot on. Best seafood in the Boro.

Very good seafood. This is an attractive but casual restaurant. A personalized twist on low country boils and the seafood is the main player in the dishes, not the corn and potatoes found in such abundance at other places.

Loved this place! Food was great and wine refills are $ 5. We ordered the Gumbo, and Snow Crab Boil. The Gumbo had great flavor, a little kick and 2 large, succulent shrimp. The Boil was wonderful — messy — but worth it. You just have to get in there and go for it. It came with a red potato(great dipped in the butter) corn(also great dipped in the butter) nicely smoked sausage, and a very generous portion of snow crab. Plan on spending some time getting that sweet, sweet crab meat out of the shells. We arrived pretty late, and the wait staff were very attentive and didn’t rush us at all. Great meal!

My husband insisted I write this review. The Boiling Shrimp has exceeded expectations every time we have eaten there. Lately that is the only restaurant my husband wants to go to. The service is great, and the food is delicious. Their shrimp are perfectly cooked, and the fish is flaky and tasty. I’ve had the low country boil several times, and it is well-seasoned and yummy. Definitely going back!

Stopped in for dinner on the way to the hotel. The décor reminds me of a 1970’s south Florida seafood stop, nothing fancy. The menu was very simple and easy to understand… seafood and seafood. This evening it was 16 Cajun seasoned and skewed grilled shrimp, and they were delicious and only $ 13.00. Add in some savory rice and coleslaw and the meal was complete. Next visit I need to try the hush puppies, always a good indicator of a seafood restaurant and possibly the salmon. Very clean and the staff was very friendly, it’s worth a visit.

If you are a seafood lover then check this place out! Great combinations that spice things up and make your experience more enjoyable. Any of the boils you get will be packed with flavor. Great lighting and great atmosphere too. Plenty of food for a great price!

The Boiling Shrimp has good, fresh seafood to die for. The atmosphere is laid back. The service is great. Everyone is very friendly, people oriented. Me and my wife just love to dine here and it’s been one of our favorites since the first day they opened.

Absolutely delicious! Love the casual and welcoming atmosphere, and that big screen in the foyer really gets the taste buds going. I’ve never seen anything like that in another restaurant. My baked tilapia was cooked perfectly, very fresh, seasoned nicely. My husband and son had the low country boil, lobster and shrimp, with all four flavorings and loved it. Comes with a phenomenal corn on the cob, my son ordered extra in his meal. We tried fried ice cream too, but the deep fried Oreos were a most delightful, melty chocolate cream surprise! I also love that I got to keep my Boiling Shrimp wine ‘glass.’ Service was exceptional, and the food was delicious. We’ll definitely be back!

Just passing thru town and stopped in during dinner time. Family restaurant style, good food, reasonable prices, clean bathrooms. What’s not to like. U can’t go wrong with any of the boils. Seafood is fresh and tasty. Cajun was medium spicy. Wings were not spicy although they were described as medium spicy. If u r from the North, wings r not always wet here, so don’t be surprised by the very good fried chicken they put in front u. I made that mistake a few times… slow to catch on.

As good of seafood as you’ll get anywhere in the low country. They also have the best sweet potato fries that I have ever eaten. We came here for my mom’s birthday and not one person in our party(of like 15 people) didn’t love their meal. Highly recommended. A great place for a date, a sunday lunch, or any special occasion!

I passed by this place 3xs today and the sign caught my eye each time so when my client was running late I decided it was fate. I simply had to check this place out. As it turns out I could have skipped it but it seemed to have do much potential!!! that’s pretty much why it got 3 stars instead of two. I was by myself and on the road-if the circumstances were different I Prob would have gotten a boil and been a lot happier. The pics for both the boils and the fried platters looked great. The shrimp on my po boy did not resemble those in the pics I saw. I don’t have much of a desire to return to Statesboro anytime soon but if I must I will Prob give this place another whirl. But as for now the leftovers sit untouched in my car and my stomach is screaming at me…“No more!!! Rolaids please for the love of God!!!

I only have a few things to add to the list of already glowing reviews. I am from NJ and am on a road trip moving my RV from the north to the south for the winter. I decided to take the«road less traveled» on my way south. Leaving Pigeon Forge, TN I took a semi-direct route south towards my next stop in Orlando. Wouldn’t you know after a day of driving I called it a night in Statesboro and stayed at the Parkwood RV Park. And what was right next door? Yep, Boiling Shrimp. I woke up late and decided to take a walk to the corner, stopped by Boiling Shrimp to see their menu. It was a rainy Monday and the place was empty save for 3 wait staff. I continued on to the store, bought some stuff and on the way back, stopped in for an early lunch. One of my best decisions on my road trip. Now I know why I wound up in Statesboro! I was waited on by Gabby, a sweet recent HS grad saving to go to college. I asked for her recommendation as I was just passing through and probably wouldn’t return and wanted something special. The low country boil it would be. Snow crab w potato, corn, sausage in a medium hot Cajun gravy. STUPENDOUS is all I can say. I cooked my way through college and am an amateur BBQer. All I can say is the spices were spectacular; every part of the meal was great. Nothing left other than but a mess of shells! Will I be back? Don’t know, but one trip, one great meal, and great service, what else is there?

Holy smokes! …Or should I say holy boils? This place is the bomb. The shrimp was nice and crispy, but not too dense. You could tell they use fresh oil in their frying. The Cajun fries were amazing, as were the chicken wings(odd for a seafood place, I know, but they’re a must-order for sure). And the main event, the shrimp/clam/crawfish boils, were so tasty. The garlic sauce was our favorite for the boils – we ended up dipping everything on the table in it! As for the service, it was superb. We showed up about 30 min before closing, and they were still super friendly and very helpful throughout our meal. To top it all off, the whole meal was super affordable – both for the quantity and quality of the meal. I was just visiting my brother for the week at GA Southern, but I joked I would come back to Statesboro just to eat at this place. Definitely a must if you’re in town!
