Staten Island doesn’t have a lot of good Pakistani restaurant if any. The first time I ordered here, I got the chicken tikka masala with garlic naan — to my surprise it was actually good for a local small joint like this one. The second time I ordered, I was really disappointed. I placed a big order since I had guests over. We got couple of chicken main dishes and the goat curry which smelled horrible, like the meat was still uncooked or not seasoned well enough. I also ordered channay which were okay. Recently I ordered again from here to give it one more chance, the guy who took the order didn’t seem to understand the menu items, they had no delivery guy. We did take out, ordered daal goat, chicken boneless tikka(dry) chicken khadai and a Vegi dish. The daal goat was not good at all. So now I know I won’t be ordering any goat/lamb dishes from this place. The chicken dishes seem to be good but they need to step up their game on takeout/delivery service and goat/lamb part of the menu. But since most of the desi restaurants on the island are horrible, this is pretty the best option if you can’t travel to NJ or Brooklyn.

Lovely food. The fish kebab, Goat Pulao, Nihari were all very tasty. And the Kashmiri Chai was superb.

Ordered Samosas and and Bhindi masala. Both just ok. The samosas were desperately needing salt as was the masala. Nothing to write home about. I don’t think I would order again.

Had the lamb chops, chicken kebab, and chicken tikka marsala and I have to say that it was so good! The bread was also really good and the green sauce provided was also really delicious. Will most definitely be coming back for lunch!

Best Indian-Pakistani food in Staten Island. Definitely recommend this place. Not spicy not oily, it was just perfect.

Taste of Pakistan is delicious! Its a small gem that’s located in a small strip of shops. Staff is very friendly especially the young woman taking orders, She was very helpful with what to order being that I’m a huge fan of indian food and wasn’t sure the difference in tastes. I don’t really venture out to Staten island on a regular but when I do I will definitely take the time to stop off here for take out!

Ordered Delivery through and the price was great as well as the 10% off — order received in under 30 minutes, kebabs were fantastic and the rice briyani dishes were delicious as well.

My favorite were the kababs and the kheer. The kababs were flavorful and not overbearing or hot in terms of pepper. The kheer had just the right amount of sweetness. The veggie samosas and the biriyani(especially the multicolored, flavorful rice!!!) were also good. Maybe the biriyani should be renamed the«crazy rice» as another customer described in referring to it. This not to say the other dishes weren’t good but the above mentioned dishes just stood out in my mind even hours after I left the place.

The food here was good, and I got good portions for the price. The veggie samosa was the best I’ve had on SI and it only costs $ 1. The service is fast & friendly, and I would definitely recommend this place to others. The restaurant is family-friendly, and there are booths if you want to eat in.

Had the Chicken Biriyani and the Tandoori Chicken. Biryani was really fresh, flavor could be better, and like the other reviewer said mine came a little under-salted. Gotta eat it with the Raita sauce, which you might have to ask for if they forget. The Tandoori Chicken was also fresh and very flavorful. Reasonably priced and fresh food, I’d recommend to check this place out.

First time eating here. Food was awesome. I had the goat karahi. The meat was soft, spicy, and perfectly seasoned. The rice was good, could’ve had a bit more salt but once I added some, it was perfect. The veggie samosa was slightly spicy and so yummy. My friends had the chicken tikka masala, palak aaloo, and channa daal. They say it was also good. We will def get food from them again. Try it!
