This is a good place to bring family and friend. The sushi is fresh and the cooked foods are good as well. The food comes quickly and the staff is friendly.

Rude, no customer service refused to deliver my food unless I tipped the rude cashier first.

If I could give less stars I would! I went there today with a few friends. Our waitress was RUDE! She barely came to our table and rolled her eyes when we needed change. She actually had the nerve to tell me that the tip is not included. I work in the food industry and am aware of the protocol. Her name is JOELIN and she should be FIRED! I would never treat costumers the way she treated my friends and I! Sapporo lost many customers today!

Great sushi. Great service. Some of the best on the island. We have ordered out twice and twice so far mistakes with our orders. I don’t care how busy you are — if I’m ordering two orders of something, please make sure you deliver 2. Because when you bring one and tell me that you require an additional 30 mins to fix your mistake. Not good. this complaint aside, fish is always very very fresh. We will continue to come to the restaurant because we have never had a problem with their service or quality of food.

I’ve dined here a couple of times. It’s a cute little place near my house, so it’s convenient. Overall, the food is good. The service is okay. The prices are okay. In my opinion, fushimi is the best sushi/Japanese restaurant in Staten Island.

Wonderful sushi spot in a plaza in Staten Island. My boss actually recommended it after moving to the neighborhood and I took her up on it. Came here with a group of 5 co-workers and we were very pleased! The waitress was quick to bring out our appetizers after we ordered them. The Dragon Balls are a must-try and I’m not a huge fan of avocado(I know, I’m a rare species). Our rolls were brought out as soon as we finished our appetizers and they were very fresh. She came around a few times to check up on us, refill our waters, and ask if we needed a refill on the sake. After 4 appetizers, three rolls each, and I’m not sure how many refills of sake, all 5 of us paid $ 30 each(with tip) which is excellent!

Me and my friend go to this sushi restaurant all the time, it’s one of out top favorite sushi place in all of NYC. The sushi tastes good, and it’s cheap too compared to other places, and you’ll definitely end up leaving on a full stomach. The alcoholic drinks are really strong, so if you order them, be prepared because there’s so much vodka in them. I opt for the Japanese sodas, they come in a bottle with a little ball that you push into the bottle, it tastes so good! Delicious sushi, nice dining space, and good service, no wonder why we always come back here!

This place is awesome, me and my friend went here every Wednesday because of our huge breaks in class. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu and the prices are unbeatable. Chicken fried rice is amazing here !

Ordered Kani salad. Literally received 5 little pieces of Kani and way too much cucumber in that salad. The service was okay. Food was ok. Not too fresh.

We frequent this establishment often when I need a place close by. The sushi and sashimi is consistently very good. The staff is mixed — sometimes very friendly and sometimes not so friendly. Be aware: the lighting is dim.

I have been ordering from here for over 3 years twice per month. Last night I ordered spicy tuna and received crab instead. I took a bite not knowing and became violently ill later on that night because I am allergic to shellfish. I called to have the issue corrected and they gave me an attitude. Once the delivery man finally arrived he did not offer a reimbursement or an apology and he proceeded to ask for the food back that they delivered. This is the most unprofessional and rude business I have ever dealt with. Do not order sushi from here.

The first time we went here for takeout it was good. The second time we went here for take out my gf and I got sick. Food poisoning. Up all night throwing up. Not good at all. We will never go there again.

The restaurant is very clean and the lighting makes it look very fancy. The sushi is actually pretty good quality considering the reasonable prices. Regular rolls are fairly priced starting at around $ 2.95 per roll. One of of the sushi/sashimi contains 2 pieces which comes out to around $ 1.25 per pieces. The dragon ball appetizer is pretty good and comes out in 4 cute little balls.

It’s a stretch for me in given them no more than two stars. My first time, a couple of weeks ago with a party of three, we left paying 100+ dollars, that includes the tip.(There was no alcohol served with this meal.) So first off… This place is pricey $$$ especially when I was still hungry when I left. I was going to order the fried rice but at that price of $ 14+ I changed my mind. Yes! I was conscientious of my wallet, what can I say? I like to eat decent food NOT at outrages prices. My party shared two appetizers and the fried calamari portion was so small that it was not even enough for one or two people let alone three.(disappointed as it was good in taste). Really, when I looked at the price I tried to get an idea of the portion size. For the entrée, each of us ordered two rolls; some of us liked it and some of us didn’t. Some of the rolls were falling apart. The favorite one was the Richmond Roll. I was OK with my choices because I like my food to be a little spicy. The dish presentation was very good. The service was ok until we noticed that other patrons who had just walked in, were getting hot towel and we didn’t get any. Again, disappointed as it was not that busy at all. Overall, I was not impressed, and I will not be visiting again! We didn’t get the value we paid for. price + service(did not equal) cost.

Excellent food not so great service. I had the Kani salad as an appetizer which was Delish as usual and a shrimp tempura and shrimp mango roll(my food of choice at any sushi place, if it’s not cooked I’m not eating it) I like that they give hot towels when you arrive. The service is definitely lacking. I came on a busy night and it was almost impossible to get our waitress. We had to ask several different servers while they were walking by for stuff. If the food wasn’t as good as it is I would definitely give less than 4 stars. I guess this is what happens when you go on a busy night.

Can I assume majority of the shops here are run by the family? Or I suck at telling the difference between people. They look so similar though! Anyways, my expectations for food at SI is quite low. I went to another sushi place before coming here because their veggie sushi selection was lacking. The price was average(look at uploaded pics) I love that they serve a thin layer of rice. It was so thin that some parts of the sushi didn’t even have rice! This did not bother me at all. There should only be a thin layer of rice. That’s what I call a good sushi. I ordered: AAC roll — load up those veggies! Sweet potato — you can see the sweet potato! Other places usually have such a thin layer of sweet potato so you’re usually just eating fried flour. There was sauce inside the sushi but I couldn’t tell what it was. It didn’t taste like the usual sauce we see with the sweet potato roll. It wasn’t bad though! Peanut avocado — they are far from cheap on the ingredients! Although the pieces didn’t have an even portion of peanut and avocado, the sushi was definitely full in the middle. Shiitake mushroom roll — I couldn’t tell what it was flavored with since it had a light taste. I’m glad they didn’t smoother it in sauce or just boil the mushrooms. The ginger and wasabi was placed at the corner and separated with a cupcake holder. Overall, good sushi for being at SI. The interior was nice and it was crowded when I went here for take out so business must be good. The only down side is that they need to serve veggie gyoza!
