I’ve been going to Pete the owner for over 20 years. He is warm and knowledgeable and great prices. I can say I honestly trust them with my car no new hidden problems pop up and cost. I always get my car back quickly. It’s hard to find a honest and reasonably price mechanic and I found one. He is also located by the ferry so I can drop off the car and take the ferry to work then come back at night to pick up. Highly recommended

Avoid. Went here because they are local but will not return. My car was making a terrible sound when I braked, they sold me a brake job. I had to bring the car in a day or two later because the noise was still happening, and this time they sold me brake pads. Why were those pads not part of the brake job? No matter – that wasn’t the problem anyway, but I was out well over $ 500 at this point. The noise continued after «fix» number 2, so I went to my trusted mechanic back in Brooklyn, Repairs on Wheels. They isolated the real problem and fixed it – it was a broken strut and broken spring.

Had a leak in my tire and they plugged it quickly, even though they were busy with other customers. Waiting room and staff are pleasant. Prices are really reasonable. I would definitely come back here as they did good, quick work.

Will L these guys are the worst. Brought my car in cause my check engine light was coming on. They told me it was my knock sensor. Paid 600 bucks for that and a tune. The nxt day the cm engine light was back. Got it checked at auto zone. They said it was the knock sensor. Brought it back to my tire. Had my car their all day and never figured it out. Then couldn’t even start the car up. Finally got it started without doing anything about knock sensor. then a few days later one of my coils went. Brought it to another mechanic. He checked the plugs and saw that the coil that was bad was cracked. And put back in with electric tape. Done when I was getting the tune up at NY TIRE. decided just to take the financial loss cause I didn’t want these guys no where near my car. STAY AWAY.

It’s a great shop with honest guys! Have been going there for many years and they do great repair work for reasonable prices.
