First time ordering from this place and I have to say, everything from their website to their customer service and communication (via e-​mail) was exceptional. My colleague was very happy with the bouquet she received and the quality of the flowers used. Not to mention, Cathy (I think) was knowledgeable and gave great recommendations based of the $ amount spent. Overall, great online/​over the phone order and great delivery. Thank you Moravian for making my co-​workers day special.

I called to order flowers over the phone w/​o seeing them. The woman I spoke to wasn’t so friendly. I told them I wanted to spend around $ 50 and I was told they start around $ 65 or so. I agreed and told them what I wanted. The total ended up being around $ 90 to deliver w/​in Staten Island which is expensive but would have been less annoying if they arrangement was the high quality I expected from this place. Instead, they were mostly deli style flowers and filler. I was so disappointed in the kinds of flowers they used. The person who received them later told me they arrived smelling moldy. Bottom line this place is way over priced and the quality has gone down. I don’t know if they assumed I wouldn’t see the arrangement and wouldn’t find out, but an arrangement full of mostly daisies and filler for $ 90 is unacceptable.

A dozen roses and three lilies costs $ 84. That’s crazy. No prices anywhere at all, they do not tell you anything. I believe this clerk named Lisa K. ripped me off. I will never come here again and I suggest that you don’t get flowers here either.

I have been coming to Moravian Florist since I was a little girl. They have always done beautiful arrangements for all occasions but nothing could compare to what they did for my June wedding.
Everything was magnificent and exactly how I pictured my wedding flowers to be. I was completely blown away! A few days before the wedding, our ceremony location was changed and I called Sue from Moravian in a panic. Her response was «Don’t worry. It’ll be beautiful.» She was able to make the last minute changes necessary to recreate our new outdoor space.
From the high table arrangements, to the low table arrangements, to the bouquets and boutonnieres, everything was PERFECT!
I would highly recommend Moravian Florist. You would not be disappointed putting your wedding in their hands!

Recently lost a family member and called in flowers to Staten Island from Southern California. They could not have been nicer and more helpful. The flowers were delivered on time and my family said that they were beautiful. I thought they were a good value.

I am a third generation customer to this, the finest florist in Staten Island. Through their countless beautiful arrangements for hundreds of occasions in my family’s time, they have become our «go-​to» florist. Their attention to detail and artistic eye are present in all their pieces – it keeps us coming back for more!
My parents and theirs have patronized Moravian for all our flower and gift needs for the past 86 years. We have no intention of stopping anytime soon. Run, don’t walk to this superb example of a family-​run business!

I adore the people at Moravian. My mother always went there when she needed flowers and introduced me to this place when i was a little girl — long before their expansion. They did beautiful flowers for my father’s funeral 20 years ago. And they are still doing gorgeous flowers today.
My brother and I send my mother roses from Moravian every Mother’s Day, birthday, Valentine’s Day, etc. We tried the online folks but the quality was never even close and now I will go to no one else. This is THE place for flowers on Staten Island.

I live right by this flower shop and it has really become my go to. They have premade bouquets that are priced right and if you have just a few more minutes to wait they will whip up something nice based on your choices or the budget you give them.
My one gripe is that they have A LOT of non-​flower items. Lots of holiday decorations and even chocolates and other goodies. Just wish they would focus more on flowers and plants.

This is touted as one of the largest flower shops in Staten Island that is family owned and operated since 1927. They do wonderful gift baskets and have all types of gifts and trinkets all over the shop; I absolutely just love browsing in it.
I have been quite happy with arrangements I’ve received from Moravian.

Moravian has a lot of beautiful flowers. They really do a great job. I don’t go in there often because there over priced. If you could afford two dozed roses for around $ 100.00 then go for it. Don’t get me wrong they do excellent work. Probably one of the best florist Ive seen in Staten Island. There cemetery memorials are very nice. They do a very good work. I highly recommend them.
The reason I gave them a 3 is because they are very pricey.
But I give them a 5 in there work.

This florist is more like a very big gift shop. A very nice big gift shop, that also has flowers. However, unless I missed something, the times that I was there, the choices for cut flowers were slim. There are tons of nick knacks, collectibles, expensive frames, lamps, lotions, you name it. The place is quite large and must do a lot of phone in orders as well. In fact, I have received quite a few gorgeous flower deliveries from Moravian.
They also have a very nice greenhouse type nursery for potted plants and larger foliage.

I had been directed to Moravian by a friend’s sister. She had used them for her wedding. My fiancé and I went in to check it out, since we had only seen anything remotely special in Manhattan. Well, BIG MISTAKE. The store was packed with plenty of retail such as Vera Bradley Bags, jewelry, and other stuff, but there wasn’t a huge selection of centerpieces. The store was clean, but cluttered. The staff seemed helpful, except for the person who dealt with us. I was looking for a style that was specific and even had photos of my table runners and a type of simple vase/​centerpiece I was interested in. The person we were directed to was clueless and rude! (I won’t state her name) She told me she would look into it and call me, that was almost 10 days ago. If your looking for something «cookie cutter» like, it may be fine, but they DON’t take requests or at least the woman helping us didn’t. Very disappointed.

Living the life of a model boyfriend/​husband/​son/​therapist/​punching bag afforded me valuable experience buying flowers. I have gone to many hole-​in-​the wall florists. They are fine providing a no frills experience. I say how much money I want to spend and they tell me what I can buy. I also appreciate 1800flowers dot com. The quality is so impressive, but once in a while you need a brick and mortar store when picking up flowers on a whim. I was driving to visit a friend in Staten Island and wanted to buy flowers to cheer her up. I assumed I would pass one but because I was driving so fast I didn’t see any.
When I passed Moravian, I took a double take. I went inside and was astonished. It was a boutique. More than 50 people could be in the store without alerting a fire hazard. There were lovely nick knacks besides flowers: fake flowers, pillows, vases, balloons, plants, etc. One of the staff inquired if I needed help. I agreed, giving a price range, type of flowers and got lost perusing the nick knacks without breaking anything.
This is the most wonderful flower boutique I’ve ever been. Yes I am easily amused, but this is not a dinky florist. It is a house of flowers.
