Love this place and the service was amazing! Food has been great both times I have been there. There was a DJ one of the nights.

What a great restaurant. The salmon was so fresh, I tasted like they just caught it. The atmosphere is so much fun, music singing and much more. This was our first time at the restaurant, it will not be our last. We will be making it a regular spot. The service was great and the owners Michael and Margaret are wonderful people. I highly recommend michaels meatballs and martins.

I came here twice. The first time I came for cocktails with friends and I saw all the food coming out and needed to go back to try it. I went the second time with my boyfriend for dinner and I loved it! I ordered meatballs with vodka sauce and I had the crab risotto with shrimp. Both dishes were awesome! I would definitely go back!

I live right down the block and never was there until the other night when my daughter and her friend was having dinner there and over ordered food and called me to help them finish the meal. which I did easily! Meatballs were like homemade with real meat.lol. They also had meatballs in an egg roll like crispy dough. Delicious! French fries were crispy and tasty! Fried calamari was fresh and crispy too! I’ll be back but I guess next time I have to pay instead of my daughter Samantha. Lol

After all the good reviews this restaurant was a let down. First the good. Great drink menu, lots of interesting and fun choices. Also, unlike most NY restaurants that are short on space, the restaurant tables were nicely spaced out. We had reservations and were seated right away. Now the not good. Appetizers were cold in the middle. One guest had the fried Alfredo balls and I had the eggplant ricotta bites. Two out of the 4 of us ordered the fusilli with NO mushrooms. Both dishes came out of the kitchen with mushrooms. Meanwhile the other guests were served and almost finished with their meals before we received our«mushroom free» dishes. Sauce and meatballs were just ok. Also, we ordered a second round of drinks and they took about 15 minutes to come. We had to remind the waiter. We had to ask for Parmesan cheese rather than the waiter having it ready. Maybe we hit it on a short staffed night but it was a let down. Thought it was nothing spectacular. Also felt rushed. I probably would try someplace else before coming back. The bill was over $ 200 for 4 people. No dessert.

I Can’t believe I have to do this but idk what happened to this place, I’ve eaten here on numerous occasions and the food was excellent but the last two times I’ve ordered delivery here it was a disaster. We ordered jumbo shrimp and got minis, we ordered beer battered chicken strips and got a few tiny chicken nuggets etc etc. You would think they would get it right in the hour and a half time it takes them to deliver.

This is probably the best eatery that has been in this location of the dozen or so previous that have come and gone. The best thing is the happy hour martinis and half off appetizers. There’s a large selection. You can also go online and get a buy one get one entrée Monday thru Thursday. Their margarita pizza is delicious.(Better than Lee’s). There’s a huge choice of appetizers. It’s fine to just sit at the bar and have an array of those. Limited entrees. A bit pricy for fish. Everyone has their own favorite types of meatballs as far as hardness and ingredients, especially if you’re Italian. Theirs was a bit too soft for me but tasty. Ample seating at bar and many large televisions around it.

I came here for mother’s day and they was able to give us a table for a party of 3 even though we didn’t make reservations. They had a prix fixe menu for mother’s day and the price was pretty alright came out to just a little over $ 100 with tips. Their meatballs and and crab cakes was really good a must try! I read that their martinis are a must try but I didn’t have the chance to have one, I definitely will next time if I go. I took off a star off because the wait was unbearable. We had to wait almost 2 hours for our entrée to come out and with a toddler being there it was the worse! They can’t sit still for that long. But our server was being attentive and trying to find out where our food was a few times and came back to let us know. Maybe because of the special occasion that the food was slow?

went here a couple weeks ago. Great martinis, food was really good. ordered the sweet and sour calamari which was amazing. The serving size for the meatballs could of been alittle bit bigger, as they only gave 3 meatballs lol. The service was very good. the drinks were a bit pricey, but the food itself was very reasonably priced.

Went last night with boyfriend for date night. It was super-crowded; they were filming a commercial, and there was live music(not sure if that’s a typical Friday or just for the ad). We received gracious and attentive service from the moment we entered. The cocktail menu is extensive; we both tried the dirty martini, which was flavorful and generous. You could definitely nurse it throughout the whole evening and not get a second drink(we did though!). The décor does have kind of a weird art deco vibe to it, like another review said; we thought that the blue tones were a little too cool and made it feel kind of like a club(with Frankie Valle playing on YouTube on the big screen); maybe warm yellow or even red/orange lights would make it feel a little cozier/sexier. The appetizer menu is extensive; there are entrees on the back of the menu, but the real fun is in the small plates, so we ordered the stuffed meatballs, Italian egg rolls, crab-stuffed portobello mushroom, and fried Alfredo balls. Stuffed meatballs = delicious, but not exactly«stuffed,» just had the salami, provolone, etc. mixed in. Generously topped with tasty sauce, grated cheese, and olives. Italian egg rolls = definitely my favorite of the four dishes we ordered. Crispy on the outside, tender and warm on the inside, bursting with flavor. Came with marinara sauce to pour on top. Crab-stuffed portobello mushroom = probably our least favorite of the night. For $ 13 you get one mushroom cap piled high with crab stuffing. There was definitely a lot of crab in there, which is why the price is so high I guess, but it was too much crab flavor for us. We would pass on this next time. Fried Alfredo balls = cheese, pasta, butter, and cream fried in breadcrumb. There is nothing wrong with this dish except for what it would do to my arteries if I ate it all the time. Did not fall apart on my plate like another review said it might. The food was all brought out at the same time and pretty quickly; next time, I would ask that they space it out a bit. Waitstaff should probably ask guests if they’d like all dishes at the same time or one at a time. After dinner, we each ordered second drinks; BF got the espresso martini, which was not as good as the first one; it tasted like watered down coffee with a little vodka. I had the Monroe Martini, which was well presented with a fresh strawberry on the rim of the glass for garnish. It could have been a teensy bit sweeter, but I still enjoyed it. For dessert(wow we eat a lot), we had the peanut-butter cake(not sure if that’s the exact title on the menu). It was a warm, moist chocolate cake with a substantial layer of peanut-butter on top, topped generously with little chocolate chips with a side of whipped cream and drizzled with chocolate syrup. Yummy. I feel obligated to mention that there is no beer on tap, and selection of bottled beer and wine is limited, but if you’re coming to Michael’s MARTINIS and Meatballs for either of those two, you deserve that awakening when you enter. It’s a cool place and we’d go back, maybe next time for brunch.

After asking a friend that went to Rao’s if he can get my husband & I in, and his response was basically«I can get you a heart transplant easier» he recommended we try this place, since we wanted to check out Staten Island, we came here last night for dinner. We didn’t know there was a parking lot, should have known considering everywhere in Staten Island has a lot, but we found a spot right across the street. It was a nice night out, not humid or hot, so we sat outside to eat, not really much scenery, you’re basically looking at Hylan Blvd, and cars driving by. We were greeted by Victoria(name on receipt so I’m guessing that was her name) I’m horrible remembering names… she was extremely nice, and explained the menu to us. Which is mostly a Tapas menu, they do have entrees, but with some many options, and plates to share we decided to just order appetizers so we’re able to try different things. Victoria recommended a couple of her favorites, and we also ordered some stuff that sounded good. Here’s the breakdown… Since meatballs is in the name, must order meatballs right??? We got the stuffed meatballs, for what a remember, they were stuffed with sausage, cheese, and other things, they were the first thing on the menu, and they were delicious, it was in a nice marinara sauce also. I would highly recommend anyone to order these. Second meatballs we tried were the veal, pork, and beef, they were good, also the same way I make my meatballs, very nice & moist, but they didn’t compare to the stuffed meatballs, so next time I would skip these. Then we had the sausage egg rolls, yeah I know sounds weird, but delicious! A must order! And the order was big(see picture) The calamari, was just ok, nothing exciting, didn’t taste horrible, but I would most likely skip it next time, they were nicely cooked, and breaded, very crunchy. The mozzarella, tomato, with roasted peppers was delicious, went very well with the rest of our appetizers. We also had martinis, had too since its in the name… lol the mango martini was very good, and strong. We asked Victoria if she can bring out the food in increments, so we didn’t have everything at one time, and it wasn’t a problem. Or bill was responsible for two people, two drinks each, and five appetizers, which were a good size 109.70 I will most definitely come back the next time I’m in Staten Island.

I was at the Uncorked event at Richmondtown today and Michael’s Meatballs & Martinis was across from us. They had a line all day so I started asking people about it. And all I heard was rave reviews. So I went on OpenTable & made a reservation. I walked over to their table and met Michael and his sister who were both super nice. I told them I was taking my mother to their place tonight. My brother came as well so there were 3 of us. We were greeted by Victoria and she was an amazing server! She answered all of our questions and was so sweet all night. We decided to share a few appetizers. We had the beer battered calamari which was excellent then the stuffed meatballs. The meatballs were excellent and the perfect amount to share. The short ribs were tasty but a bit fatty but that tends to be the nature of short ribs. The coconut martini is delicious! I also tried the white sangria martini and it was flavorful & refreshing! I am looking forward to going back again. Excellent meal and fantastic service!

Meatballs & Martini’s is a little to quirky to be really good. The bar is long enough, and the décor tries for a Art Deco vibe However it’s ruined by a video of a «Vegas Era» Elvis playing on the big screen. They have outdoor seating if you don’t mind seating on Hyland Blvd. They have a extensive Martini list, however they don’t have all the ingredients to make the one or two you finally pick out. We settled on a Dirty Tanqueray martini which was good and a generous pour but it should be for $ 12. The veal and ricotta meatballs and the Alfredo balls tasted ok but just fell apart on the plate, the meatball egg rolls and sausage eggs rolls are a much better choice. The staff was friendly but service was slow.

Good martinis, decent food. The chicken parm was average. They have meatball egg rolls which is interesting. I tried the Moscow and Chocolate martini and both were good. Our server/bartender was great.

My boyfriend and I decided to come here for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. As expected, it wasn’t busy. However, there was only one woman working the entire front of the restaurant(I assume she is one of the owners). She told us to sit anywhere while she was handling one other table. I also noticed there were empty tables that were left dirty from other patrons. Call me nit-picky, but I find that leaving a table dirty like that for a long time shows carelessness. You have a beautiful restaurant, take pride in it! Aside from that minor flaw, the food and cocktails were delicious. We had the veal and ricotta meatballs and the alfredo balls for our apps. The veal and ricotta meatballs were moist and perfectly seasoned while the alferdo balls melted in your mouth. We both had the Bellini Martini which was tasty and strong(I felt a buzz just by one cocktail). Our panini and wrap was good, but we were so full that we couldn’t finish. I would love to come back here for dinner one of these days. Their entrees sound just as spectacular!
