Masterpiece Tattoo

Walked in yesterday in a terrible mood and walked out with a huge smile on my face. Decided to get a quote on the inside of my fore arm. Other shops were trying to charge outrageous for it. Fair price and the artist chosen font was uniquely beautiful!!! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. A quick and painless experience. Can’t wait to go back for more!

What an amazing experience!!! Mike, Jess and Kenny made this night perfect! 7 of us came in and left with gorgeous pieces! We all highly recommend Masterpiece, would never go anywhere else!!!

Just got my first two tats here today and it was nothing but easy going professionalism all the way. My artist was Rabbit and from consultation to finished product he was patient, professional and cool. The studio was clean and neat looking and everything was explained to me step by step. I will be going back again soon and Rabbit is the man!

Don’t go here, especially if you’re a first timer. If you value customer service, you will hate it here. If you have thick skin, a lot of patience, and you can deal with condescending vibes, you should be fine.
Before I go off, I’ll say that our piercer did stop what she was doing (a tattoo) to attend to my wife and that was very admirable.
Anyway…
My wife wanted to get a piercing and this spot was still open after 8 so we figured we’d give it a shot.
There was a bit of a confrontation with the 2 female artists about putting the close sign up, but I’m not basing this off of that. It happens.
At first everything seemed fine, we filled out the consent form and waited a few minutes and then followed our «piercer» into a room upstairs.
The piercing was a bit high too. 65 after tax, but we were committed.
My wife admitted she was a bit nervous, and our piercer (Chrystal) started rambling on about how she can’t deal with drama queens and was forcefully persuading my wife to make a decision as if her mind wasn’t made up already. So if you’re nervous its best to keep it to yourself. However, after her rant, she did slightly reassure my wife saying she won’t just stab her ear.
After that, I took out my phone to record my wife’s reaction so we can joke about it later, but apparently that’s not allowed either. She asked me to please stop recording her, and I replied saying «I’m just recording my wife’s face». She then asked me again, this time raising her voice and talking to me with a condescending tone. I must admit I was a bit angry, but I put my phone away since this wasn’t about me, it was for my wife.
The piercing itself went smooth, but her attitude was just extremely bipolar!
But it’s a tattoo parlor. I’ve gotten tattoos, and I understand the artists aren’t all saints but in my experiences, I’ve never felt the need to just walk out of the store until I came here. Maybe she was having a bad day but there’s no need to take it out on us. And despite all that my wife still tipped her (probably out of fear)…Just kidding.
–1 star for the price, –4 stars for the attitude. +2 stars for getting us in and out.
If you do end up going here, try to avoid her, or at least know what you want and don’t show any emotion. And you’ll be fine.

Awesome shop. Super clean very professional and friendly. I’ve gotten a few small pieces and my gf got a large shoulder piece done by Shawn Ink and they all came out fantastic. I will be returning there as soon as finances permit to satisfy my ink addiction.

I’ve been gettin work done by mike for over 18 years. I can tell you from personal experience that the work he did 18 years ago looks just as good today as the day he did it.
One of the best artist out there. Hands down! Shop is clean and he has a staff of extremely talented artist. Some people have complained that the price is a little high… But honestly, it’s on your body for life… Is a tattoo really where you wanna save a few bucks?
You get what you pay for in life and trust me its worth the money. We’ve all seen some pretty jacked up work and ill bet they got a great price on it…

Mike Pastore is amazing. He is an amazing artist and an extremely nice person. I went into his shop with an awful tattoo that I was extremely upset about. He eased my concerns and assured me he would make it look great. He did everything freehand and the finished product was so much better than anything I ever dreamed of. He really listened to what I wanted and his artwork is outstanding.
I will definitely send everyone I know to him and continue to go back to him myself. The staff in the shop is also very friendly. I was made to feel very comfortable. I’m an extremely satisfied customer!

I first met Mike in 98 on the lower east side of Manhattan, and as a fellow tattooer and artist I must say that he’s definitely raising the bar of black and grey work. His studio is clean, spacious and welcoming with a really laid back, yet super creative atmosphere!

I have been going there for all my work. Great work done !! Mike is an incredible artist I always get comments on my work. Great place to get tattoed !!!
